What @Shiny Silvermoon and @Silly Druid is exactly correct.

When you click on the link, you can set it to a 20 sided dice. That, or if you wish to roll a higher dice for steps and a lower dice for leaves, then you can say do a 12 sided dice for steps and an 8 sided dice for steps. It mostly depends on which you'd like to roll more towards.

Everyone will be required to make one post a day, adding a picture of their dice rolls. After that, if you still wish to interact with everyone, you are more than welcome to do so, but there will be no dice rolls after the first required post. Each day will be the same idea, so that nobody will feel far behind or lost when posting.

Shiny explained it perfectly here and I really appreciate the help. Thank you, Shiny! :coco:

Eeyup on the rolls. When rolling the dice, one roll will equal steps and the other roll will equal the number of leaves that you knock down as you run. :)

I don't think I've ever seen a D9 kind of dice before, but if you do that, then you can try to use the other dice, or an 11 sided dice to roll for the other option that you choose in regards to steps and leaves.

Thanks, Dyny! However, I have a small issue with take screenshots of our dice rolls! For some unknown reason, my samsung is an old version and it doesn't allow me to take screenshots, when am on the internet! I tried many things to fix that issue but nothing seems to work! I once had a conversation with another member of the community who also had the same problem, but I can't remember who. As a proof that I'm not lying, I was unable to take screenshots of my dice rolls, during the World Cup 2023, as well. For now, my phone is fully fonctionnal so I won't change it but, whenever I get a chance, I'll buy an iphone next time.

so do i use the D20 for both steps and leaves? or do i have to split the dice? i can do a D10 for each, that way it splits the dice in half

I am being helped, little by little. I am mostly out of my dark place. I am halfway in the light. My pony friends accept me and they are teaching me things I need to know. This place I am in, part light part dark. I am in between.

If you want to prioritize one over the other. So, for example you want to just walk and enjoy the scenery and make the leaves fall, then you can use a D20 only in leaves, but there's no rolling for steps. If you want to roll for steps and leaves, then you can split the dice. You can either do a D10 for each, or if you want to have a better roll in one over the other, then you can use a higher dice and a lower for the other. For example, a D12 for one and a D8 for the other.

It mostly depends on how you'd like to split the dice, but splitting the dice in half is also completely okay, as well. :fluttershy:

hmm, ok. i think for this first race, Lucky would just enjoy the scenery, because this is the first Running of the Leaves she's been a part of. so she'd absolutely enjoy the scenery this first time. so i can do a D20 just for the leaves :) thank you so much, Dynamo ^_^

@Dynamo Pad if we have these dice IRL can we roll those if we wish?

While it would be cool to use dice IRL when it comes to making rolls, I think it would be better to use the site to make the rolls. Everyone might not have dice IRL to make rolls and I feel it would be more recommended to use the link to make dice rolls. :coco:

You're welcome, Shiny! Thank you for letting me know on this. If you are unable to take a picture, you can still make the roll and post your results underneath your post in the RP.

I also saw your post and I was wondering something.

I saw that you rolled a 9 and rolled a 5. Which one is for the steps and which one is for the leaves?

@Princess Moonlove

Hey Princess Moonlove! I saw you had made your post in the race! :fluttershy:

Don't forget to make your roll(s) and post said roll(s) in your most recent post. Here is a link for where you can roll the dice. :coco:

Question how do you know whose turn it is ?

There is no turn order.

Everyone that is participating is required to make one post that has their rolls for the OC's. After that, they can post as much as they like just like before. :fluttershy:

@Usual Crypty

Hey Crypty! :fluttershy:

I saw your responses and I was confused about something. I saw the first and second dice rolls that you did and that's completely okay. However, I saw the other two dice rolls afterwards and and I think there was some confusion.

Everyone that is participating in the RP event is required to make one post a day that involves their rolls. After that, they can post as much as they like, but there will be no rolling involved until the next day.

I think for a solution, you can keep those rolls, but you can put them up for your third and fourth days. So, for tomorrow and Tuesday. Which means that you can start rolling again starting Wednesday. If that's okay, of course. :coco:

I was also wondering about something else.

What does your magical veil do?

Hello, @Dynamo Pad. I missed that part of rules about daily limitation. I asked you about limitations before and figured out that there can be any frequency.

Sure, I'll remove last 2 dice rolls.

The veil of falling leaves is magically beautiful! Not literally magical, the other kind of magic ^•^

@Usual Crypty

Oh okay and it’s no worries. I think that happened to me, as well. I think I missed the question on limitations being asked. I think I made a recommended post in this thread, but still I’m really sorry about that.

You can still use the dice rolls, but you can add them to tomorrow and Tuesday respectively, before making a new roll for Wednesday. :coco:

Oh okay and now I see what you mean. I think that’s a great way to describe the leaves falling :izzy-oooh: :fluttershy:

I think I might be too late to get started, I'm not sure I understand the rules...

Huh? You don't understand the rules? It's very simple! Everyday, you have a dice to roll with 20 sides. However, you can also split your dice in two, one for the steps that you'll make and one for the leaves that you'll knock! The leaves don't truly matter according to @Dynamo Pad but you can still knock some if you want! There's a link on one of Dynamo's posts to a virtual dice that you can use. Since the event started 4 days ago, I think, you'll be able to roll 4 dices in the same time to catch up with us. :eager:

Hey @Azure Dawn! I'm really sorry on the late response. I just got home from work, but it's never too late to get started. :coco:

The rules are that once the race begins, you use the link that was provided in the recommended posts to allow you to roll. Each day, you are required to make a post that will be your roll for the day. After which, you'll be able to post more, but there will be no rolls until the next day. I'll provide a link to the dice that you and everyone else can use.

https://rolladie.net/#!numbers=1&high=20&length=1&sets=&addfilters=&last_roll_only=false&totals_only=falseAs for what you roll for, you can roll for either the number of steps you take or the number of leaves that you knock down. The dice used will be a 20 sided dice, but you can focus on steps or leaves. However, if you wish to do both, then you can split the dice into two. For example, if you wanted to focus on both steps and leaves equally, then you can roll two 10 sided dice. That, or if you wish to focus more on leaves than steps, then you can roll a 12 sided dice for leaves and an 8 sided dice for steps.

I would say in your post, you can make four rolls to catch up to the others.

Thank you to @Shiny Silvermoon for how many dice rolls that everyone has done. :hug_day::fluttershy:

Also, I forgot to mention that the number of steps to win the race is 500 steps. I wouldn't say that the leaves don't truly matter, but there might be something done in regards to the most amount of leaves knocked down. :mlp_wink:

So @Ice Princess Silky <3 trying to get me to focus on racing instead of leaping and knocking leaves was actually a trap! She knew that I was the best leaf knocker on this side of the country and she wanted to sabotage me! Yeah… It all makes sense now… :baconmane:
