WAAhh I'm so glad u noticed (°0°)!! (also thank you gshfhehehe) 

he lost his horn and wings (which is also why there's a random stump on his yorso and those scars) from a dragon!! a few centuries ago he used to be a prince but that didn't end well for him(currently kingdom less and homeless and magicless and flightless) :3
