Anyone notice how Apple Bloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo are together in the very first episode when Nightmare Moon shows up. But in reality they aren't supposed to be friends until call of the cutie?

Now i heard that they had two other ponies to be there instead of sweetie belle and scootaloo and as a mistake they didnt show up so they put the three together or at least i think

That is kind of true considering the mane six were connected as filly's without even knowing it but then again imagine Scootaloo trying to do a sonic rainboom trying to get her and the crusaders cutie marks! XD

yeah it would be a rely big continuity error but you need to think.... that was a pilot Episode so that was finished way before 'call of the cutie' Sweetiebell and Scotaloo were probably not considered until long after that episode was finished

No, they most certainly introduced themselves to each other at Diamond Tiara's party in Call of the Cutie. As for the pilot, though, there is the whole Cutie Mark Chronicles deal, as well as the simple fact that you don't have to know the people next to you to cower in fear together.

I also noticed that. But I don't think Lauren Faust thought about the CMC being together until AFTER that episode had aired. Then, she decided to include an episode on them becoming friends and wanting to get their cutie marks. Personally it doesn't really bother me, and I think it's kinda like a time-capsule thing. I dunno.

But, it's amazing how far those ponies came. Hope they get their cutie marks soon. Kinda stupid how they STILL don't realize their talents.

This outwardly continuity contradicting clip is just clever foreshadowing. No mistake here, it was intentional. I bet the show's team is glad to see that this didn't go unnoticed, neat little details like this are frequently overlooked.

I don't know, I've always noticed this in the first episode. Maybe it was intentional. I kinda think that at least half of season one was finished before it aired, perhaps the whole of it. Or at least mostly finished. And maybe they just ended up that way, somehow, because they were already related in other episodes, and maybe back when they animated the pilot episode, the plans for the coming episodes were different, in that the CMCs could have, already befriended each other? And then the writers changed their mind? Of course it could just be a coincidence.

All the episodes are prepared and finished months in advance of their air dates, and many of them are worked on simultaneously (it takes longer than a single week to create an entire 22-minute episode from start to finish). It is extremely unlikely that the pilot episodes were completed prior to any development on the later episodes, so I'm willing to bet that this was some clever foreshadowing worked in by someone on the FiM team, hinting that these three little ponies would be significant to each other later in the show.

 

Any three random background ponies could have been chosen for this scene; but given that multiple episodes are in development all at once, it all but rules out the possibility of it having been an accident.

I'd say its proably just conincidence, but there is the good point that they might have been forshadowing.

Plus it seems almost to conicedental to have the three of them out of everypony they could have put be together then.

 

I think it could be looked at as clever forshadow, but I guess we'll never know.
