"Hehe" Blaze chuckled at Starbolts jab at Trixie and her shoddy performances. "No apparently she was caught using S class magic to mind control ponies. In fact, I don't understand what she is doing here, if it was up to me I would have left her to rot in a jail cell" Blaze said with disdain.

"Oh my name is Starbolt." She said holding her hoof out to Blaze.

"I'm quite sure you're Blaze." She said.

"Hmm? My reputation proceeds me" Blaze said sarcastically "Believe it or not, I have heard your name in passing, Starbolt. Celestia has mentioned you once or twice, something about your talent rivaling that of ms. sparkle's, and during a fancy dinner party I attended your name came up in a noble's conversation. Apparently you are quite the magician." Blaze complemented.

"Celestia mentioned me?" Starbolt asked happily surprised.

"And I'm not that good of a mage. I just like to practice my magic a lot." She said.

"You are being a bit modest, if you were mentioned by nobles and Celestia, you must have some talent. I noticed it took you almost no time to put up those wards, normal ponies would have needed an average of 20 to 30 seconds to cast that spell." Blaze said "I have some okay powers" now Blaze was being modest ", but alicorn powers are quite different from unicorn powers, we are born with much more MP then most unicorns, so we have an innate talent, it makes it easier for us to learn S class, SS class, and SSS class spells. Of course only luna and celestia know SSS class spells, well, and star swirl the bearded but he is not around anymore" Blaze said.

"Speaking of spells. Could you ummm maybe if it's alright to show me how you cast that spell you did to me earlier not now but if we have free time, I would love to learn it." Said Starbolt trying to convince Blaze to teach her the spell.

" That spell? I call it Drain. It requires the knowledge of runes. It is an S class spell and is pretty difficult. Tell you what, if we ever get time, I will definitely teach you. But I must warn you, the training for this spell requires a great deal of training, the average pony could take months to years before perfecting it." Blaze said " I do see something special in you, so I will attempt to train you, but like I said it will take time" Blaze said.

"I have nothing but time and devotion when it comes to learning magic." Said Starbolt smiling.

"Anyway what is happening? Why did you need to break HER out of the prison?" Said Starbolt looking at Trixie with disgust.

"Pfft, like I know. It was probably her ex lover's doing" Blaze said referring to Thunder "She did give us some helpful information but then again, with that ego I am about ready to convert every cell in her body to a heaping pile of carbon." Blaze said with a fiery spark in his eye.

"Oh I would LOVE to see her turn into a pile of carbon." Starbolt replied to Blaze smiling.

Thunder looked at Starbolt and frowned. "Touch one hair on her and I will personally rip you limb from limb," he told her. He could already tell they weren't going to get along.

"Relax, I was joking" Blaze said laughing "Mostly" Blaze muttered. "Besides what would reducing Trixie to a heaping pile of egotistic ash give me?" Blaze asked rhetorically "Nothing, nothing at all. "

"How can you NOT want HER to not turn into a pile of ash?" Starbolt said towards Thunder.

"Does Trixie possess one of those? I was under the impression inside of her chest was a black hole of jealousy" Blaze said " I am sorry but it is hard to fathom that she was fond to any pony besides herself."

"WHAT? How can anypony lover or even like her!" Said Starbolt surprised at what Thunder said.

Starbolt chuckled at Blaze's remark.

Carrick sighed. He knew that this argument was not going to end well. Regardless of it being just a tease or real this wasn't going to end well by the expression from Thunder and Trixie. Trixie was about to explode. "As much fun as it is to see this argument, I think I'm going to have to interjected here."

 

"For starters, I was the one decide that she gets jail-broken. She was the student of Ice Star, it would of made sense to bring her here and then leaving her to the dogs." Carrick turned to both Blaze and Starbolt.

 

"You two. I don't care what quarrels you have with this pony, you better keep them to yourself or forget them. I do not want to hear anything about it. We're in DEEP shit right now and if you really want to start this now you can just leave because, we do not have any time for any of this at ALL. AND you." He pointed at Starbolt. "You're not really giving me a good first impression are you? Almost giving us a death wish and now this? You really making me regret telling you altogether about this mess. So I suggest you might want to get your act together right now, okay?" Carrick said with frustration seething through him.

 

Trixie looked at Carrick amazed. He was the second pony (besides Thunder) that has stepped up for her in a long time. "Trixie thanks you."

 

Carrick did not acknowledge her thanks, he turned around and sat on a stool of the bar. He threw bits on the table "Hard cider please." Carrick needed a drink...

"Fine." Said Starbolt as she sat down.

She started to spin two magical orbs of light around her as she waited.

'I should probably apologize. But still Trixie deserves whatever jail time she has after what she tried to do.' She thought.

"Whatever" Blaze said unapologetically "It was just a joke, besides, wasn't trixie a main suspect, because she was most likely to get revenge on twilight? Who is to say, that as soon as we rescue her, she does use her S class magic on Twilight to kill her." Blaze said voicing his concern.

"because, she can't use magic." Carrick replied. "If you knew about the punishment for illegal magic spells the higher you go on the line of class the harsh the punishment. After it reaches class S you'll have your magic removed from you for good. However, it's a very long procedure. Usually taking at least a few months. She's been there for a few weeks so she won't have any magic for at least a month."

 

Trixie nodded with Carrick explanation "Carrick is right, I am as useful as a Earth pony."

 

"I'll pretend I didn't hear that" Carrick a took sip of his cider.

"So? What do we do now?" Asked Starbolt.

"You are right I forgot, lets just forget what I said and move on." Blaze said and sat down on the other side of carrick. "Cidertini shaken not stirred please" Blaze said to the bartender whilst flipping a bit in his direction.

"We relaxed and wait until the guards are off us. Probably a few hours would suffice." Carrick said. He took a sip of drink. "So," Carrick looked at Blaze. "What did you do? I don't think you're a detective like me." Carrick replied.

"Hmm... I can't say that I actually have a career, I am only 23. I was in college, graduated with a major in magic." Blaze's voice died down to a whisper " I have pretty much dedicated my life to learning my father's spells. I guess the only reason I am here is because Celestia saw some potential in me and my magic. She thought I could help you guys. I grew up taking learning from my father, he taught me most of his basic magic when I was a little foal. Once he died I inherited the only possession he had left after his crew took everything else. It was a pyronomicon. A book that he addressed to me, he spent his entire life writing it. I mastered every spell in it, and in the back of the book was a note from my father to me, it told me how proud he was of me, and it said to destroy the book after mastering all of the spells. It was hard for me to destroy the last thing I had of my father's, but I did it. So now I am the last living pony who knows my fathers spells." Blaze finished, he took a sip of his cidertini, the taste was all to familiar to him, it was his father's favorite beverage, and had quickly became his also. He let out a sigh of indulgence after the sip. "ahh. Hits the spot" Blaze said
