Shadow jumped up into the air and fired a barrage of magical blasts down at the group of guards, he deliberately missed Sapphire as he did so. He jumped down and conjured a knife and stabbed one of the guards in the chest, piercing his armor. He ripped it out and dashed back.

Sapphire looked around it seems that all the guards were wiped out by Shadow's magical attack. "Wow..." She said in awe. She turned and one of the guards grabbed her weapon and disarmed her. He pinned her down and readied to stab her with his dagger. Sapphire struggled but was unable to get out of his grip or cast any magic.

Shadow stared for a few seconds at what had now turned into a hostage situation. "Just let the mare go." He said as he readied a magical attack from behind the pony with a knife. "And i might think about not killing you and letting you go" He said to the Stallion holding Sapphire.

The stallion hesitated. He still held the dagger and was ready to attack Sapphire. But what will happen to him after.....

 

Another guard badly hurt but still alive stood up behind Shadow. His spear in his hoof he walked closer, he then jabbed the spear at Shadow meaning to kill him.

Shadow let the bolt go towards the pony holding Sapphire just as he took the blow from the back. He turned around as his shield didn't come up as the spear went in through his Stomach. He quickly used his magic to finish the pony off before he fell to the floor and started to bleed out. "Not the desired effect of that..." He mumbled as he couched up a bit of blood. "Uh... Sapphire... i'm sorry for what i did to you earlier..." He said giving a slight chuckle as he lay on the floor of the cathedral.

Sapphire got up. As much as she hated it she owed Shadow for helping her. She scanned around and saw no more possible hostile targets. She picked up one of the daggers and slid it in her uniforms scabbard. Sapphire walked next to Shadow and examined his wound. Quite deep but she stopped the bleeding with her magic and helped Shadow up giving him support. She remembered what this pony did to her, but she had to also consider that she is also wanted dead by Celestia for some reason. She headed outside knowing that they couldn't stay there. It was dark and not many ponies were out so she was able to stay hidden. She looked for somewhere to hide for the night.

Fire could smell something odd outside, vampire blood. He walked outside his house and looked around "Yo, any bro out there having a particularly un-cool time?" He hollared out with a drink in his hoof.

 

Shadow held onto the pony as she helped him walk "T-thank you" He muttered as he walked with her help. He heard a voice call out. "Mother of Luna, it's Fire..." He said weakly

"C-can I trust Fire?" She asked Shadow nervously. They continued to walk towards the sound of Fire's voice.

 

Fae heard Fire shouting so she flew out the window and up high to see what was going on. She saw a pony in a royal guard uniform carrying a bloodied unicorn. She remember what happened in Blaze's mansion and readied her magic.

"Fire is probably the most trustable guy i know, but he is as smart as a walrus at times..." Shadow said in a weak tone. "In short, yes, you can trust him."

 

Fire squinted his eyes and noticed Sapphire carrying Shadow "Woah bro... wicked..." He said in awe at the situation.

Sapphire turned a corner and saw Fire. She walked toward Fire, suddenly roots caught her hooves and a bolt of magic knocked disarmed her, her spear skidded towards Fire. She was quickly hit by another blast of magic knocking her to the wall. She dropped Shadow and hit the wall dazed.

 

Fae flew into view and readied another blast of magic just in case the guard got up.

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Fire said blocking Fae's magic line of sight so she couldn't see Shadow or Sapphire. "Everyone stop the blowing, of the up, and chill." Fire said with a frown at Fae for attacking Sapphire. "Bad Fairy, Bad"

 

Shadow hit the ground with a thud and coughed with a wheeze. "Ow" He cringed in pain

Fae stopped casting her magic. She knew that Fire didn't know about what happened to Blaze, she wasn't taking any chances she bound Sapphire's hooves together with some vines.

 

Sapphire saw Fire talking to some flying creature. She was wondering what was that, but her hooves getting bound by some sort of plant interrupted her thoughts. "I thought I could trust them." She said to Shadow as she struggled futilely with her bindings.

"I said you could trust Fire, not whatever kind of bug that is." He wheezed out weakly to her.

 

Fire gave a sigh and walked over to Sapphire and cut her lose "Sorry, the fairy seems to be jittery lately." He said before turning to Shadow "Should the Fairy be jittery or not?" He whispered.

 

"No, this mare, Sapphire is with me, i trust her entirely" He said, even though it was mostly a lie.

 

Fire turned around to Fae "There, not stop with the bang boop bop bro" He said

Fae nodded but she still was going to watch this pony carefully. She was wearing the royal guard uniform, those ponies attacked Blaze's aunt.

 

Sapphire stood up Fae's magical attacks hurt but she's been through worse. She helped Shadow up again. "Do you have a place we can stay?" She asked Fire nervously.

Shadow grunted in pain as he was hefted up by Sapphire. "Ow" He said simply. He was glad his wound was closed though.

 

"Yeah, there is one right behind me?" He chuckled "Come on in, it looks like Shadow needs some help too." He said as he helped her Carry Shadow inside his house.

Sapphire walked into the house, but picking up her spear as she passed it. She helped Shadow on a nearby seat and sat on a chair near Hypno. She noticed she had blood on her coat, her own and several others.......

 

Fae took note when Sapphire picked up her spear. She followed them into the house her magic ready to cast.

"Calm your wings yo." Fire said to Fae as he sat down in his Chair.

 

Hypno watched Shadow walk in looking stabbed and beat up, and a mare with a spear and blood all over her coat. His hunger grew as he could small the blood off from her. "H-hi... Shadow...And...random guard mare..." He said trying not to focus on it.

 

Shadow noticed Hypno's rather hungry look. Please do not do it. He thought in his head. He turned to Sapphire and thought to her telepathically Leave the room quickly, just get in the kitchen or something or you are going to regret staying here in your current seat. I didn't think Fire had more than himself or Anna here. And Hypno looks rather hungry as if he hadn't eaten. I don't think you are willing to repeat your experience with me either.

Sapphire heard Shadow's voice in her head. She understood what he meant. "Hello..... I am Sapphire Shine, you can just call me Sapphire.... I'll be right back." She said nervously. She stood up and headed towards the door leading to another room bringing her spear with her. She saw she had entered a kitchen she went towards the sink and began to wash her hooves and started to remove the blood.

 

Fae followed her into the kitchen, she was invisible and she watched the mare for any suspicious activity.

"Hypno" He said as he gave a jittery wave at Sapphire. He took a deep breath.

 

"Control yourself, you buffoon" Shadow said as he swatted Hypno in the head. He got up and walked to the kitchen "Give me a moment, and everything should be fine" He said as he opened the fridge and grabbed a bag filled with a red liquid. He walked back and tossed it to Hypno.

 

Hypno grabbed it with his odd form of eye magic and quickly sank his fangs into the bag, drinking from it almost as if it was a pony. He completely drained the bag in a few seconds. When Shadow saw he walked back and told Sapphire she could return to the room.

Sapphire walked back into the room she had washed most of the blood off her coat. She sat on a chair. "So are all you ponies, blood suckers?" She asked taking note of the empty bag of blood on the floor, also not knowing the proper term for it.

 

Fae followed Sapphire back to the main room.

All Shadow, Fire, and Hypno raised their hooves looking at Sapphire. "Well, i don't think it is physically possible for the fairy to be a Vampire bro" Fire said with a shrug. Shadow raised his weakly due to his wound on his stomach. "Your marefriend there Hypno doesn't seem to be one either" Fire added.

Sapphire nodded as Shadow explained. She examined her spear, it was a little dull so she pulled out a sharpener hidden in her uniform and began to sharpen it. "I see." She simply stated.

 

Fae continued to watch the royal guard pony. Fae wondered why she would help them when Celestia has ordered them to be arrested.

Shadow began to wonder why he had let this pony live past the door. Maybe he was that desperate that he couldn't harm the first pony he had talked to in a long time. He sighed and rested his head on the couch, unsure if his wound would heal on it's own. He passed out after a few seconds.

 

"Rad spear you got there" Fire said as he sat back on his couch. After he knew Shadow was out cold, he said "I haven't seen my bro here spare anyone who had tried to harm him in a long time, so i wonder why he hasn't killed you..."

Sapphire gave Fire a smile. "Thanks, it's just standard issue. Shadow um.... Bit me....." She said to Fire. She looked at Shadow and wondered the same thing. She knew he could of killed her, but he didn't. She turned to Snow. "Hello, so you're not one of them bloodsuckers?" She asked her.

 

Fae flew closer as Sapphire held up her spear, but she relaxed as she handed it to Fire.

She didn't know how to reply since she completely forgot what she said to Blaze. After a few seconds she said "I can't seem to remember what I said that day.. Hopefully it wasn't something important." as she followed Blaze into the forest.

 

'I have a bad feeling about this..' she thought.
