It did irk me a little bit when I visited the town (then again I only started playing it through second gen), but I actually really liked the music, so... I don't know, I guess it didn't bother me THAT much?

It was alright. I don't know why people get so erked about that though. They claim to hear some strange sounds but I didn't hear anything.

Life is an adventure. An adventure of mistakes, accidents, and misunderstandings.

That's what makes life life.

I had no problem with it. Hearing it backwards is kind of creepy though, but for some reason hearing almost any song backwards creeps me out a bit.

If you're happy and you know it you're unusual.

But that doesn't mean it's not worth trying~

Oh my god i hated that town. It was difficult to get there through that cave, then you had to beat your rival in the tower, beat or catch the marowak, get the pokeflute and clear the snorlax. Personally my favorite town was Fuschia

Was it because of THIS SONG? Very unsettling tune I must say.

I played a different version, but neither of those editions of the song bother me. I found out about the creepypasta just 3 months ago.

Thanks for bringing up the song. The memory flooded back. The cave was a pain, and it took me a bit to figure out how to complete what needed to get done. Still pretty sure it didn't bug me though.

Meh...I grew up with the remake (LeafGreen, to be exact), and I don't remember that specific song being a notable checkpoint in my childhood, and my fears belonged to completely different things, so no, and I'm kinda surprised.

Hearing it nowadays, I can easily see what established the concept of the creepypasta and why people would've been unnerved by it, especially the original.

My journey in the fandom started on April 5, 2012. I joined here on April 24, 2012. Where that journey is headed now, who knows...

No, but I am bothered by the fact that you used two periods in place of an ellipsis mark. ^_^ Only kidding. If I would have played that game as a kid, I probably would have been absolutely terrified. My tolerance for scary things is about as big as a no-see-um's eye.

I wasn't bothered by it either, and I have no clue how some find it so disturbing.

Actually if you watch the video I posted, then you see that in the original music had unknowns (the letter pokemon) spelling out LEAVE NOW. Multiple videos have been posted about it, but I don't have the money for that kind of software to try it myself.

actually the unknowns where imbedded into the frequency of the original song

Rule #440 of the internet: If you have to ask "Am I the only one..." then you probably aren't. There will always be those who agree with you or have experienced the same thing.

(Made up internet rules ftw? lol)

Never once bothered me though, then again I'm hard to disturb/creep out.

When I was little, eh, just a tad. Like the first 5 chords or whatever. Now I play it when my friends are trying summon Bloody Mary in the bathroom. It ruins the whole "haunted" mood for them.
