You know, the king of the monsters. With another american attempt coming out within a couple of years, decided to start a thread.Sure, maybe not a series of movies with the best plot, but seriously... this isn't one of those movies you go for plot... You watch it for the monsters destroying everything, and each one taking eachother out.You may discuss any of the movies, the old hanabarbara cartoon, the american movie, or even the spin-off Godzilla the series...

I've been hearing about a Godzilla movie coming. They say it's going to be the same classic looking Godzilla. They say it's going to be in CG, hope it's really good looking CG.

I really liked the spin-off series to the american movie, I think that was a whole lot better then the hanabara cartoon

Actually it's pronounced Gojira in Japanese. Godzilla is how the United States corrupted the word Gojira when the first movie was dubbed and released here. Edited December 27, 2011 by cuteycindyhoney

I remember watching the Godzilla 1998 movie as a child and loved it. I watched it for the monster, not the story.

 

I wasn't a fan of the animated series at all though.

yeah...I miss that poster... I also had action figures that made sounds too. But the principal took them away during show and tell as I accidentally hit somepony with it as I turned around.

I have to say, my favorite Gojira movie is either Gojira Vs King Gidorah or Gojira Vs Destoroyah. Two classics that all should see.

Godzilla, i gotta say was an excellent movie to watch.   Watched the entire series (Showa, Heisei, and Millennium), however, I liked Heisei more b/c it was darker.   As for Showa and Millenium, it was a little corny, however, in Showa (obviously Gojira was the #1 best film in the franchise, then King Kong v.s Godzilla, then Invasion of the Astro-Monster).   Millennium on the other hand truly sucked.
