I got Friendship is Magic #21 & #22 from IDW comics; which is a two issue story I've heard really good things about; and a pair of Rainbow Dash socks!

 

Not Pony related but I also got a Monster High Happy Meal that came with these awesome Ghoulia glasses!

Well, I preordered this a few months back, but I finally got it Friday, and only just now opened it. The Freakin' Daring Do Adventure chest with three Daring Do books, and a collectible figurine. Honestly, I had serious doubt that the 50+ dollars I paid for it was worth it, but I am seriously STOKED by what I have here.

 

All three books and the box that figure is in are all back nice and tightly. The quality & texture of the books were quite surprising; actually. VERY nice.

 

 

 

 

 

Overall, SO FREAKIN' STOKED!!!!

I found the page where it lists those other books, and sure enough, it includes these three books on the list!

I added the numbers with Paint Shop Pro.

 

The "Other Books" page is near the front of the books, like how they do it in other novels, and I think that I missed seeing it earlier, because the paper is new/stiff.

 

It looks like I should read them in this order:

1. Daring Do and the Marked Thief of Marapore

2. Daring Do and the Eternal Flower

3. Daring Do and the Forbidden City of Clouds

Anyway, yeah, that is how I assumed the order would be as well, and thus, will likely be the order I end up reading them. I just hope that page is a nice hint of what is to come. Goodness, I feel like Dashie now. XD

Just finished reading Daring Do and the Marked Thief of Marapore.
Without giving away any spoilers, I can confirm that it should be read before
Daring Do and the Eternal Flower.
I'm gonna get some snacks, then dive on in to Eternal flower.

As soon as I figure out where Daring Do and the Forbidden City of Clouds fits in, chronologically, I'll let y'all know.
I plan on reading it last.

I'm really getting into the Daring Do character. The first book is really good. Can't wait to read the second one.

 

Edit 1: Just finished reading Daring Do and the Eternal Flower. Fantastic story!

Gonna start reading the final book from the list now, "Daring Do and the Forbidden City of Clouds".

I'm kinda sad now, though. After I finish reading the third book, they'll be no more Daring Do to read.

Hopefully, they'll publish the other 7 books soon, and maybe even write some additional all-new stories. Might depend on sales of these 3 books, tho.

 

Say, has there been any word on if they plan to publish these 3 books separately; maybe more affordable paperback editions?

Just finished reading the third book, "Daring Do and the Forbidden City of Clouds".

The order given in the front of the book is dead-on accurate:

Read 1'st: Daring Do and the Marked Thief of Marapore

Read 2'nd: Daring Do and the Eternal Flower

Read 3'rd: Daring Do and the Forbidden City of Clouds

 

I can't give a thorough review of the novels, without giving away spoilers, so I will instead say that those of you who are a fan of the FiM TV Series, and have already seen all of the first 4 seasons of it, are gonna really enjoy reading these books.

I certainly did, and I highly recommend em.
