private Shifted: The Remake

After having browsed around for a while, Electrobolt was about to sigh and give up, until he finally found the book he was looking for. A smile on his face, he was about to take it off the shelf, until he ran across a problem. As a human, he had hands and arms to be able to grab and hold onto the books with. But now, as a pony, he had hooves and legs. At a loss of how to grab the book, he just looked at it, thinking for a bit. Maybe he could try with his newfound hooves anyways? *No, I'd most likely push it away. Maybe I could try grabbing it with my teeth? No, that would leave a bad taste in my mouth, and most likely leave teeth marks in the binding for the book...*

As he continued thinking, he recalled that this world was like his, yet very different at the same time. Figuring there wouldn't be any harm in trying, he reached a hoof out to grab the book, half-expecting it to be pushed back, but it instead didn't. *Right, there's a backing on these things...* he thought, almost feeling dumb. Shrugging it off, though, he tried grabbing with these hooves and pulling back. The next thing that he saw ended up surprising him: the book was actually being pulled back, almost as if he was using hands! *What? But... But how...?* he questioned in his mind, clearly confused. As he continued to pull the book out, he had this look of confusion on his face.

After pulling it out, he looked at his hoof, and the book, as he was clearly still in surprise. How is this possible? But then again, he recalled this was a strange, new world, and that anything could be possible here. As he shook his head to wipe off any remaining confusion on his face, he started to feel slightly awkward. He then recalled he was using three hooves as opposed to four to stand. *This place... This is a strange world...* he mused as he put the book on his head and, trying to balance it on his head, walked towards an empty table. Even though it threatened to fall off at certain times, he made it to the table without dropping the book and making a loud thud.

Taking the book to the table and setting it down gently, he took a hoof and opened it up. Seeing as it was mostly text in the beginning, he decided to skip a few pages until he saw some pictures. As he looked at the pictures, he smiled as he realized he was now looking at the map of this world, which was apparently named Equestria. *Heh... Fitting for a world filled with horses and ponies...* he pondered, chuckling slightly. As he looked on the map, he noticed it was a massive place. He saw Ponyville, which he knew he was in, and that he noticed another location, Canterlot, was some distance away from there. On the opposite end of Canterlot was another location, called Appleloosa. He also noticed other places on this map, like Fillydelphia, Las Pegasus, and so on. But as he looked at the map, he noticed a box to the side, and this confused him. This box showed a cloudy place which bore the name Cloudsdale.

Curious about this place along with the others - but mostly Cloudsdale - he began to flip through the book some more. After flipping through some pages, he saw on the current page the name Cloudsdale, and some text following afterwards. Silently, he read the page to himself, "Cloudsdale is a city atop of a mass collection of clouds. It is the home of the pegasi, who have the capabilities of walking on top of clouds with ease." This line had him curious. So the pegasi - which he then knew had the wings - can walk on top of clouds, as if they were a solid surface? That was rather interesting, but he had no ways of telling what it would be like as he wasn't one of the pegasus ponies.

He shook his head as he continued browsing through the book, seeing Canterlot and Appleloosa. As he read through, he saw that Canterlot was this regal location, filled with this rich ponies, but mostly unicorns. He also saw that Canterlot was home to the two princesses that had the power to control the sun and the moon. *So the sun isn't the center here, and both the sun AND the moon are controlled by these two ponies? This is an interesting world indeed... Wait, they're princesses? Didn't someone mention something about a princess or another?* As he shook his head, deciding to worry about it later, he continued to read through, reading more about Appleloosa.

As he read more about this land, he saw that this land was an old settlement with mostly Earth Ponies and that this land had a field of apple trees. He also noticed something about buffalo being there, and that this place was popular for the apple pie it makes. *Apple pies... Mmmm... Wait, why am I thinking about apple pies? Focus, Electrobolt, focus... So um... Appleloosa seems like it's the western land in this world... And Earth Ponies...? Are those the normal ponies...? Hmm...* He shook his head as he looked around at the ponies around him, seeing what they were doing.

As he looked over to Ice Storm, he saw that pony from earlier. *Who was she again...? Carrot Top, right? She seems a bit nervous...* he mused as he saw that she was saying something to Ice. Although he couldn't hear anything, he decided not to worry about it. *No, don't worry about it right now... She's talking to Ice right now, and I doubt she'd want me listening in...* Shaking his head, he returned to looking through the book in front of him.

Ice listened as the pony talked about Aurora mentioning that when they first met her that something happened that she would rather not discuss at the moment? With her? I may not know too much about her, but I know that she won't to anything unless she's either extremely scared or extremely pissed. Either way, makes me wonder what she did to make her angry. She then further seemed to say that something about her made her far more trustworthy than anypony else here, which if anypony had actually known her, while it was true she could be trusted to leave no pony behind, they'd also know that she was a loose cannon capable of being set off at any second. Not exactly trustworthy in her book. "We?" she questioned with a puzzled looked and looked back to Aurora. "I may not know a whole lot about her, but from what I have seen, is that she tends to scare easily, and that's the only time I've seen her do anything violent. Odds are if anything happened you probably just scared her." she mentioned upon remembering that Aurora had even mentioned her name. "I believe she even recognized you, and she greeted you as a friend not in disgust. Believe me, from where I come I can definitely tell the difference between the two so it appears that everything has blown over and been forgiven. You should take advantage of that!" She informed.

"As far as this place being odd, it's hardly that. Kansas City. Not that's an odd place. The only place I know of where you're more likely to get shot walking down the street than you are of ordering a pizza! Of course I think the fact that because everyone is more likely to get shot that the pizza delivery guys never make it to their destinations, Oh well, good thing I never lived there. Anyway, this place? Odd? Hardly, Right now it's just a Vacation until we can figure out what's going on," she said as she turned around and began to walk into the Library.

"On that note, I need to start doing what it was I originally wanted to do here at the library and get down to the reasoning to why we were magically teleported here and for the others who wish to go home, find a way home for them. You're welcome to come in with me, and don't worry about Aurora, unless you do something to make her angry, she isn't going to hurt you," she said with a smile before walking over to Aurora, "Where are most of the history oriented books? I have a feeling whatever information that we are looking for, it's going to be in that section over anywhere else? I apologize if you already said it once, I kinda wasn't paying attention..." she admitted with an apologetic smile.

Eyes traversing the shelf, Aurora spotted one of her favorites crammed in between two encyclopedias, and gently but determinedly began to free it, rewarded a few seconds later as the book plopped from the shelf. Aurora made a quick swipe at the heavy tome as it fell to the floor, but misjudged the weight, and the book slipped from her outstretched hooves, landing unceremoniously on the ground with a loud thump. Wincing at the noise, Aurora gave a furtive look around the area before picking the book back up again, this time with a levitation spell.

@,

Space and Stars, read the embroidered title affixed to the cover, as Aurora absentmindedly flipped through the first few pages, pausing here and there to gaze at a particular picture that caught her attention. It was as she was examining a picture of a fiery red ball of light that Alex walked up to her. ""Hi, Aurora. I was wondering if it would be okay if I could check out a book from here to read back at your home?"

"Yeah, of course!" Aurora replied, giving the book tucked under Alex's wing a cursory glance. "Long as you bring it back, anyway," she added. Curiously, she read the title of Alex's book. "Equestria: A History? Haha, good luck staying awake when reading that! I had to read the entire thing in school," she laughed. "It was horrible."

Alex paused for a second, and Aurora realized that he was staring at her cutie mark. Breaking the awkward silence, he added, "What is the meaning of these marks on us? What are they?"

"The cutie marks?" she asked in surprise. "How can you not know what cutie marks are? Well, they're there to represent your special talent," Aurora explained, looking fondly at her own. "A sort of symbol, I guess, of what you're good at. Some of them are really easy to guess, and..." her face fell slightly as she examined her own cutie mark, "some are slightly harder to figure out..." Turning her attention from her own cutie mark to the one on Alex's flank, she giggled. "Wow, yours is even harder than mine! A shield? You a knight or something?"

@@Ice Storm,

The face of Ice Storm appeared from behind a bookshelf, and Aurora began to holler out a greeting, before realizing where she was and lowering her voice. "Hallo, Ice Storm," Aurora said happily. "Are ya here already? Guess Carrot Top didn't keep you too long."

"Where are most of the history oriented books? I have a feeling whatever information that we are looking for, it's going to be in that section over anywhere else? I apologize if you already said it once, I kinda wasn't paying attention..." Ice Storm asked, sounding rather apologetic and shifting her weight from one hoof to another.

"It's ordered by subject, so they'd be in H, I think," Aurora announced cheerfully, flicking her tail towards a distant bookshelf leaning against a far wall. "Just be a little careful," she added as an afterthought. "There's so many textbooks crammed in there that an unlucky pony could get buried in an avalanche of them if they weren't careful enough." She gave the two ponies a rueful grin and rubbed her head, leaving no trace of doubt as to who the "unlucky" pony was.

Magenta was going on about the Zombie ponies again. Klopp was certainly skeptical that the fire pony from before had even turned into a zombie, but her suggestion of heading to this Canterlot place certainly seemed like a good idea. Perhaps Princess Peach would know a little something about what was going on around here. Wouldn't hurt to head over there, besides? What else were they going to do? They had nowhere else to go, no other clues to follow. It was either go to Canterlot and see Princess Peach or wander around aimlessly around this strange new world.

@,

Klopp was about to agree with her but before he had a chance Magenta spun him 'round towards Canterlot, threw her hoof over his back and pointed towards the city on the mountina and asked "Who's with me!!??"

"Yesh! We should head to Canterlot as soon as we can to see this Princess Peach! But, um... Magenta, I'm pretty sure there are no Zombie ponies. However, I'm sure Peach will at least have some answers to some of our questions. I dunno 'bout the rest of you guys, but I've got about ten thousand questions that could do with answering, and another million more just to fill my sense of curiosity. Besides, what are we going to do if we don't go to this Princess? We have nothing else to go by, so let's get going already!"

Suddenly a thunderous roar echoed through the area, and it was surely loud enough for all to hear. Klopp's concentration was instantly diverted to a far more pressing matter than that of visiting the princess.

"On second that... it would appear my stomach has different plans for me at the moment. That looks like it will be a very long walk, and I need something to nom on right now. I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse!... Or... um, I could do with a large steak... I mean... ponies are herbivores, so I guess some bushes maybe? I don't even care, just tell me where I can get some food!"

Klopp then spotted a small batch of purple orchids alongside the nearby lake which he was thrown into earlier, and they looked strangely appetizing at the moment. Without much though, he released himself from Magenta's grasp, waltzed over to the plants, and chomped down on one of the flowers. He chewed for a moment, then stopped suddenly, displaying a look of shock on his face.

"My gawd... This is delicious!"

He then let loose a relentless biting assault on all of the flowers that were near him, and left not a single head remaining on any of the stems.

she replied "I...I don't what to say....b...b-but....I like you too.....I'm so happy..."

Day heard Starry say something to him so he turned to look back at her. She was crying, but he could tell that they were tears of joy, not sadness. With the thought of comforting her again, he walked over and awkwardly wrapped his hooves around her neck, giving her a hug without saying anything. He felt strange standing like this because he was supporting himself using Starry and balancing on his hind legs but didn't mind too much as he got to be close to the one pony he cared the most for again. Day just closed his eyes with his head resting next to Starry's and focused on the feel and smell of her mane which smelled strangely like star fruit to him. Again, he felt relaxed and at ease.

He still kept a ear out for what was going on around him though. Although he couldn't make a lot of words, he could hear the word "Nico" being throwed around a lot which he guessed must be Artsy's brother's name as he was the only other pony's name he didn't know apart from Klopp's partner which to be honest, he didn't really care about especially not right now. Day then made the decision to stop focusing on what was going on around him and fully focus on Starry instead. He opened his eyes and pulled his head back so that it was directly in front of Starry's and stared deep into big her pinkish eyes still without saying anything. He was sure that if he starred long enough, he could see them twinkle just like the stars do at night.

By this point, their faces had drifted extremely close to each other that he could feel her nose against his. He knew what the next move was but he wanted to leave it to Starry to initiate to prove if she really felt the same way. Doubt then began to rise in his mind as he remembered how naive she was from before and he worried if she wouldn't get the hint. He decided that he would try to not be too annoyed if she didn't go though with it though as there would always be next time.

“Can't stay here any longer. Need to move around.” Serah thought, shuffling her hooves uncomfortably. “Give myself a better tour than Aurora.”

Numbers awoke with a start and looked around. He was comforted by the sight of the other ponies in his group. His eyes were moist and he could feel that his coat was slightly damp with sweat.

He shook his head. He no longer felt hungry. He just didn't want to fall asleep again.

“Not the only one dying in here.” Serah frowned. “Bet he'd like to get out too. Not sure I'd appreciate the company, though.”

Serah shrugged.

“At very least, someone needs to know where I've gone.” Serah walked up to and past Numbers, face staring the opposite direction from his.

“Heading out. Saw building shaped like food on way here. Gone before I get back, meet you all at Aurora's.” Serah explained succinctly. As usual, she didn't wait around for an answer, and promptly headed out the door.

Finally free of the library, Serah took a deep breath; the tree had stank of must and wet wood, and the fact that it was empty prior to their arrival seemed to indicate it lacked a caretaker.

The outside air smelled different, though not quite fresh.

“Something burning?” Serah wondered, checking herself “Not my fault this time.”

Serah head in the direction of the scent, and was mildly surprised to find that she passed hardly any other ponies on her way. Perhaps there really was a fire, or perhaps the town was always this quiet. Or maybe the fact she walked on two legs scared everyone away. Serah had very few points of reference.

In the end, Serah found herself right where she had planned to go since exiting the library: a large four story building decorated to look like a variety of deserts, with a chimney spouting dark black smoke.

“Don't much care for sweets. Especially burnt. But...” Serah looked to her left at a bare fruit stand, and hastily constructed 'closed' sign nailed to its front. “Not many options in this town.”

Serah pushed a hoof against the door, and the door did not protest. She let herself inside.

@@Aureity, Alex looked as she spoke about the answer of the library and of its books. He noticed that Aurora was looking to see what book he was tucking underneath his right wing. He shuffled the book to let her see the title of the book. Alex also saw that she was laughing a bit about his choice in reading and also in explaining her experience with the book. Alex didn't notice the smile on his face and the slight chuckle he gave as she finished explaining about her history with school. "So, this world has an education system as well. I guess some things don't change wherever you go." Alex thought. When she finished speaking about the book, Alex took on beat. "Actually, the book isn't for me. I'm checking it out for Silver because he has no idea of what is going on after having slept for a thousand years. Poor guy, can't even imagine what he is thinking right now. Besides, I've always been more of an adventure fiction reader myself unlike Cheyenne who was all about the history-" Alex cut off that last part after realizing what he was about to say. The awkward silence was hanging thick in the air and decided to break the silence by changing the subject to the marks on their flanks.

Alex felt slightly embarrassed by his ignorance, but not much due to the fact that he didn't know much of anything about his new pony form and the world he was in right now. The embarrassment passed as quickly as it came when she started explaining about the "Cutie Marks", as she was calling them. "Cutie Marks, huh? Seems fitting." Alex thought to himself. Alex listened on as how the Cutie Marks represent what your special talent is and how they are a symbol of what they are good at. He never knew that these Cutie Marks actually had a special meaning to each pony. He saw her look on to her own Cutie Mark as she continued on about how some of them are easy to figure out while others are slightly harder to figure out, which at this point he noticed that her face fell slightly as she looked on her own flank. He noticed this look of disappointment before, even though he was now in a different world with different kind of beings. "She must still be trying to figure out what her special talent is. I know it must have something to do with the stars, now that I think about it. It must be judging from the location that she is at in the library." Alex thought to himself.

He saw that she was looking on to his own flank for his Cutie Mark and turned it to her to make it more visible to her. She proceeded to giggle a bit when she saw it speaking that his was harder to figure out than her own and asked if he was a knight. At the last bit, Alex blushed more than when he was embarrassed about not knowing about the Cutie Marks and chuckled with a smile. "Well, I don't know about that." Alex said to her. He looked on to his own flank to try and figure out what it meant for him to have it. "Is that really what it means for me? I'll admit, I have been known to protect others who were being picked by bullies at school. What does this mean, though?" Alex thought to himself. Alex looked back to Aurora. "I guess we both have something to find out, don't we?" Alex said to her.

"Where are most of the history oriented books? I have a feeling whatever information that we are looking for, it's going to be in that section over anywhere else? I apologize if you already said it once, I kinda wasn't paying attention..." she admitted with an apologetic smile.

@@Ice Storm, Alex looked behind to see Ice joining the two of them asking Aurora where the history books are located in the library who answered in return with a flick of her tail in the direction of the books. When she made a small tip about being careful pulling out the books as to not get hit from an avalanche of books, he could guess why she made that tip and laughed in his mind. Alex looked towards Ice Storm. "I don't think that you need to worry about that, Ice. I got a history book right here titled Equestria: A History. I got this for Silver so that he can get caught up on the general idea of this time period. Figured that he needed the help. Now that I think about it, I think this world IS called Equestria which makes sense due to the large number of ponies in this world." Alex told her with a smile as he held his wing out to show Ice Storm the book for a bit before tucking it back underneath. At that moment, another memory flashed in his mind.

It was another sunny day at the beach and the boy named Sam and the black haired girl named Cheyenne, were having a blast. They were walking over to the ice cream stand over at the shoreline. "I love going to this place. The ice cream they have here is the best part." Cheyenne told Sam. "Yep, there is no other place around that sells Sea Salt Ice Cream like they do here." Sam told Cheyenne as they walked to the ice cream stand. The ice cream bore the name "Auntie Betty's Ice Cream and Sweets" and luckily for them, it wasn't a very busy day to buy. Miss Betty was standing eagerly awaiting her two favorite customers. She looked as if pushing 50 years, but still looks healthy as a horse. Complete with a powdered bun hair and rosy cheeks, she welcomed Same and Cheyenne. "Hello there, will I be getting you two the usual?" Auntie Betty said with a disarming smile. "Yes, two bars of Sea Salt ice cream, please." Sam said holding up two fingers. She went to the freezer behind her and grabbed two bars of ice cream. "Thank you." Sam said while giving Auntie Betty 5 dollars.

Sam and Cheyenne walked down to the shoreline as the sun was setting. They settled down where the rising tide just barely touched their toes. The two of them proceeded to consume their ice cream while talking about their day. "Well, you know about my parents. They have been so busy with their work, they haven't even acknowledged me coming back home. Mom has busy with her presentation on the construction of the dam just outside of town; dad working nights at the office trying to earn more money to work on building more materials for the house. Seems like the only time they notice me is when I get in trouble at school." Sam said to Cheyenne. "Well, you have been getting in trouble with the jocks an awful lot after school, so it doesn't look like you're gonna get their attention that way." Cheyenne said with a mischevious smile. When Sam sees that grin, he knows she is looking for trouble, mostly for him. He sees that their ice cream was starting to melt off their sticks. "Better hurry and finish before the sand takes it." Sam said with a smile. She giggled a bit at the realization and proceeded to finishing off the ice cream. "It's so salty, yet it's so sweet..." Cheyenne said. "Just like you, Sam." She added later. Sam blushed a bit trying to hide it by finishing off his ice cream as well. "Nah, I'm just a sucker for young, beautiful damsels-in-distress who just goes out looking for their 'Knight in Shining Armor' to hold onto." Sam said with a slightly mocking tone of a noble warrior.

Cheyenne laughed as she pushed down to the sand. Sam proceeded to laugh at her reaction. "But, maybe... The 'Knight in Shining Armor' needs the damsel-in-distress for comfort. Seriously, Sam. You try and hold all of your pain and frustration for yourself. That's what I'm here for. To be your 'Port in the Storm' and you as my shield. You don't do for just me, either. You helped those who needed hope the most whether it be from bullies at school or a family that needs help with building a new home. You ARE a true 'Knight in Shining Armor' in my eyes." Cheyenne explained to Sam. Sam couldn't help but admire her for her way with things. It was true, he acted as a protector to her and others, but she was his shelter. "I don't know what I would do without you, Cheyenne." Sam told her with a smile. He turned his body towards Cheyenne. "I promise that I will always do the right thing and help you and others who need it." Sam said. Cheyenne extended her pinkie out to Sam. "Do you pinkie promise?" Said Cheyenne. Sam extended his pinkie to interlock it with hers. "Yes, I pinkie promise." Sam told her with determination.

Alex's eyes flashed back to his reality which was the library inside a big oak tree with Aurora and Ice Storm around him. "Cheyenne... I..." Alex thought to himself trying hard not to show emotion in front of the two ponies, which he was successfully doing. Alex's mind went to his surroundings when he heard another voice call out from the entrance.

“Heading out. Saw building shaped like food on way here. Gone before I get back, meet you all at Aurora's.” Serah explained succinctly. As usual, she didn't wait around for an answer, and promptly headed out the door.

Alex looked out to the entrance to see that the red unicorn was heading out of the door. Alex was about to protest to this saying that we should stick together, but decided against it thinking what possible harm could come from her wanting to go someplace to eat. Still, Alex doesn't like the idea of her walking around here unsupervised. "Well, I think I got everything I need here. So, if everypony is ready to move on with the tour, I'll be looking for an adventure book. Any recommendations, Aurora?" Alex told the two ponies before focusing the last question to Aurora.

@@Dave247,

As she cried from the happiness she's getting, Daylight looked at her again, then he proceeded to embrace her with love. The feeling of his hug felt relaxing, she never made any effort to let go, she didn't want to do anything about it, she she just stood there and embraced the moment, as he hugged her, Starry also took the time to look at his mane.

"His mane.....it...it's gold and shiny.....it shines like the sun, it's.....beautiful," His mane's looks brought heartwarming feelings to her, and she enjoyed it a lot, she didn't want it to end.

Next, the golden unicorn pulled his head back and opened his eyes to look at her, and she did the same, she started gazing into his green eyes, then she closed her eyes to picture what they look like, "His eyes....they...shine as bright as the sun...they're bright...and....pleasing." (However he actually has green eyes, not gold or yellow.)

By the time she opened her eyes, she noticed that his face was close to her, and their noses were touching each other, but she didn't say anything, but she knew what might happen next, so she blushed again, then she presses onto his face even more and kisses him.

It was the first time Starry kissed someone (Or somepony) in her entire life, she was a bit embarrassed by it, but she also felt very happy to experience one, after a minute, she pulls back slowly, still blushing,

"Um......thank you....that was wonderful.....I...I love you." She said with a smile before cuddling Daylight again.

Jack...had been tired after everything that had happened. Getting transported across a dimensional hole...transformed into a pony...sending somebody to some binary dimension on accident...and then RUNNING(which was the worst part to him in his mind). All of this combined into one big 'ole ball of exhaustion, and without even knowing it Jack passed out right next to the lake, oblivious to the going-ons of everybody else.

This did not mean, however, that his mind was idle; on the contrary, it was alight with dreams left and right. Most of them were nonsensical, with the insanity that is to be expected from dreams, like one that involved him constantly running up a wall before falling flat on his face somehow and then trying to run on the ceiling for more than 10 seconds. Others, however, were more mysterious and unsettling: a glowing world with flickering shadows around every corner, and another one that contained dark shapes dashing in Jack's periphery vision as he wondered a long, empty plane. Once he thought he spotted Artsy on the plane, but when he called out her name the image ran off and disappeared.

Eventually, his mind shifted, and his dream changed. He found himself, still a unicorn, standing in front of a large and majestic castle, which left him in awe. The gate into it was open, and so he stepped inside. Within, he found an eerily empty courtyard, with distant archways leading to what appeared to be more courtyards, which were also empty. Jack was confused: why was such a magnificent castle so empty? He would have expected there to be royalty walking about, doing their day-to-day business and running whatever kingdom they were in charge of. The emptyness unsettled him greatly, and he felt as if it was all pressing down upon him.

"Hello? Is anybody there?", he called. All he was answered with was his voice echoing across the courtyard...and a very distant sound of feet-on-floor. Gulping down his uneasiness, Jack trotted across the hallway to the archway directly across from the entrance, from which he heard the buzzing.

"H-h-hello?", he asked again. This time, he heard a somewhat come from the other side of the archway "You...do not belong where you are." Jack, naturally, was completely and utterly confused. "What do you mean 'I don't belong where I am'? That's the most vague crap I've heard in ages!"

"Tsk tsk. Not even asking for a name? How rude of you." The condescending tone in the voice was so obvious that it breached even Jack's thick skull. "Fine. What's your name, since it means so much?"

"Oh, I don't know...Let's go with Andrew, I suppose." 'Andrew', who as it turns out was a dark blue unicorn with brown eyes, stepped out from behind the archway, which surprised Jack since he could have sworn the voice came from all the way in the other courtyard. Still, he managed to conceal his surprise and managed to snort at Andrew's appearance, saying "For somebody who sounded so cryptic, you look rather plain."

"Looks can be deceiving, as I am sure you know. But I'm sure you don't want to continue discussing this, now do you? You want to get back to the question you asked before." Jack simply nodded, cautious and making note of the tone of attempted authority Andrew had. He really thought that he was top dog, it seemed.

"I'll be a little bit more precise for your thick head. You do not belong in the world where you are currently located in. The world of ponies."

"Well hell, I knew that already! I didn't need some random, condescending unicorn to come along and tell me something I already knew. I'm just like all the other people who stepped into one of those cracks: humans, who belong back on earth."

"Oh, you may have stepped into a crack just like the others, but not for the same reason as them. They were all drawn to the cracks by some force. You, however...you were repulsed by the same thing that attracted the others. Your every sense told you to flee, did they not?" Jack bristled at the last sentence. How could he know that?

"I know a lot more than you think I do, and before you ask, no I can't read your mind right now, it was just what you were thinking was so obvious that anybody could pick it up." Kicking himself for being so obvious with his thoughts, Jack listened in again to whatever the hell Andrew was saying "Now, where did I leave off...oh yeah, the difference between you and them. Yes, they were attracted, and you were repulsed, yet you went in anyways since you didn't want to leave your girlfriend all alone. Thus, you fought what your instincts were trying to say, and dove into a world in which you don't belong."

"Well, so what? Everybody else doesn't belong in this world too, so why does the reason why I went in to the crack matter at all?"

"Oh, but it makes all of the difference, because they do belong. At least, more than you do."

Jack simply snorted once again "That just sounds like a load of bullshit to me." Secretly, though, Jack was beginning to form some doubts. Whether or not he belonged here, with Artsy and the rest... Mentally shaking his head, he also said "Oh yeah, and just what in the hell are you anyways? My subconscious or something? An illusion made up by mind?"

Andrew seemed amused by the question, as a distant roar came in to the background. "That is for another time, I think. I'll just leave things as they are right now, give you some time to think. We will meet again later. For now, though, I've got a boat to catch. Ta-ta." At this point, Andrew walked behind the archway and disappeared once again, leaving Jack confused. "A boat to catch...?" was all that he could say, before the roar became a lot less distant and a lot more apparent that it was a sea of water that suddenly crashed down onto Jack, surprising him utterly and knocking him out.

@, @, @, @, @, @@Dave247,

...Only for him to wake up in reality, choking as he quickly swam to the surface of the lake that he had apparently fell into. So that's where the water came from...thought Andrew might have caused something to happen. Coughing out water, he swam as best he could back to the shore, noticing along the way that Artsy too was in the water very close to him. I think I knocked her into the water too...Whoopsie daisy. Once he reached the shore, he stood up for just a second before collapsing again, coughing out even more water. Once he had all of the water out of his system, he looked up to the group that had formed near him and said a little quietly "Okay...ignoring that, what did I miss? And where in the hell are we going?"

@,

Her brother continued to ramble on, and she began to recall this characteristic of his rather vividly. Momentarily, Artsy was distracted from her question to Jack and had forgotten for a bit about his weird... binary thingy. "Ah yes... brobro. I suppose that's a good point, but you're NICO now. It's official. Something a-about that.. name feels right. You probably don't remember," She sighed a little sadly, not really feeling much from his consolations. Did he still even love her if he could barely remember they were siblings?

@, @,

Grasping for another distraction from the umpteenth wave of negative thoughts that had stricken her, she now listened to Klopp's response to Nico's query... and saw them finally noticed those markings that were on their flanks. To her, her own marking was fairly obvious. And Jack's made sense to his personality too. In fact... all of the markings seemed to be related to personality. Some sort of defining characteristic in picture form. About to respond with her theories about Klopp's thunderous ass hat tattoo, Magenta had suddenly spoken up. More silliness about zombie ponies that she decided to disregard... but also, something about PROGRESS. About getting out of here, far away from them. Going to find out...

"Yes, we must see this Princess Peach. It... it's a bit of a long shot, but I'm sick of sitting here, doing nothing. We should start going right now... whenever uh... you're finished with your... snack there," Artsy put her gaze back to Klopp, looking at him with a slightly repulsed expression. He was... eating things from the ground. They weren't even cleaned! How unsanitary. And... embarrassingly enough, he was letting those damned pony instincts take ahold of him. This suddenly brought up a small pang of hunger within her stomach, as it softly rumbled. Dammit. Now she was hungry as well. But she refused to resort to that. Maybe when nobody was looking...

@,

...AAH! All of a sudden, her boyfriend finally made her aware of his presence again. She had forgotten he was even there with how long he had taken to respond to her. With a small splish, she rolled into the water and struggled frantically, not having a clue how to swim in this body. Somebody about its center of balance made swimming seem impossible. Her limbs flailed about and her head bobbed up and down.

"HEY! DON'T LEAVE ME!"

But the lazy bum had swam away without her, safely on shore, leaving her to drown in this shallow lake that she somehow could not traverse. The water was going in her ears and her nostrils. Artsy sputtered more before she sank to the surface dramatically...

...Only to hit the relatively shallow ground on all fours.

Feeling rather embarrassed, she tried to walk underwater towards the shore. Yet things became even further ridiculously comical and complicated. Her hooves hit some kind of algae on the bottom, and became tangled up in it, tripping her up. Somehow, she had struggled so much that she was now floating... upside down. Her body floated to the surface and her hooves flailed around in the air, rolling atop the water as her head hit the shore. Now she knew how Nico felt. Did some sort of pony motion incompetence run in the family?

Her hooves were still tied up in the algae, so she could do nothing more but sit there on her back on the shore. Sighing in a rather red-faced manner and peering through her water-splotched and temporarily useless glasses at the sky. She could see that it was getting late. A blur of colors similar to the dawn had begun to possess the sky. Purples, oranges, blues of all hues, with the oranges focused on the tip-toeing sun behind the mountains. It was moving its way behind the castle that Magenta had motioned off to. The afternoon would be over in a a few hours.

Carrot Top scrunched up her snout slightly. This was going to be exceedingly difficult. She knew that from the beginning. But how oblivious could both of these ponies be? Well, perhaps she could use that to her advantage.

@@Ice Storm,

"T-t-that's what... you think..." She trailed off at Ice Storm's statement about her having scared Aurora, and the unicorn's timid demeanor, before adding: "Bu-but... I... I don't want to... t-talk about it... just... do-don't leave me... a... aaaalone with her..."

Her ears perked up as the icy pony continued to ramble about odd things, until she got to the information she was looking for. Yes. Magically teleported. Go home... they definitely weren't from here. But she needed to be sure. More information needed to be prodded out of this possible not-pony. "Ye... yes... I'll stay with you. I... I want to find out more as well. I... I was also transported here... wh-where are you from? Di... did you... used to have hands... like... me?"

As she followed unicorn to Aurora, she found out the next answer to her question. The pony's name was Ice Storm. She decided not to say anything more around her, and settle for a sufficiently frightful look. Any words she said around this local could mess up the plan, create inaccuracies, and other such nonsense. So far, Ice Storm trusted her more despite the fact that they did not seem to know each other well. Carrot Top would simply have to creep her way slowly into that nook of trust.

As Electrobolt read through the book some more, he took in as much of the details of Equestria as he could. This world really has him interested, and after having read up about this world, he was even more so curious about what might be in this world. But he didn't exactly want any of the ponies that lived in this world to exactly know that they didn't really come from here, so this ended up being rather beneficial for him. At least now, he had some knowledge to hopefully allow him to pass as a standard citizen of this place, although he was actually wondering about whether or not he should keep this secret from Aurora, especially since she had taken them in when they had no idea where they were.

After he finished with the book, he closed it and carried it back to the shelf he got it from, before going over towards Aurora, Alex, and Ice Storm. He also happened to notice Carrot Top, who wore a face of fright. This caused Electrobolt to become confused, wondering why this pony was frightened. Shaking his head, he looked around as he saw all the ponies were there, except for the red unicorn. Although he was curious about where she ran off to, he didn't quite worry about it. Instead, his attention was drawn to Alex, whom brought up the notion of continuing with the tour.

@, @@Aureity

"Well, I think I got everything I need here. So, if everypony is ready to move on with the tour, I'll be looking for an adventure book. Any recommendations, Aurora?" Alex told the two ponies before focusing the last question to Aurora.

Electrobolt nodded at the suggestion as he had finished what he was doing here and ready to move on. As he opened his mouth to say something, suddenly, his stomach growled. It was loud enough to be heard by him and those nearby, and he looked away, face turning red out of embarrassment. Only now did it dawn on him that he hadn't eaten anything since waking up."Um... Perhaps we could... Go find a place where we could eat... Or something...?" he asked as a sort of suggestion, still embarrassed from what his stomach had just done in front of these individuals.

Ice couldn't help but wonder what could happened between Aurora and Carrot top. It obviously had to be something really Important to Carrot Top in order for her to be affected like this, but for Aurora to be fine. She'd have to make a note to ask Aurora about it later on tonight. Doing so in front of the other pony could have very bad reactions and right now, they needed all the help they could get. When Carrot top ask if she used to have hands, Ice nodded, but then found it odd. This was the first time that Aurora had said that she had come across any ponified humans from her world, yet here was a pony she was very familiar with and she apparently was a human before. Wait! that has to be it!. Aurora had to have found out about it and originally thought that she was crazy!! that must be it what's got Carrot Top so upset with her! IF that's all it was then she could fix things tonight! If they were indeed old friends, she was sure that Aurora didn't mean that it wasn't a big deal, because frankly it is, but that it simply didn't matter to her what she was because she was her friend! she thought to herself.

When she told her that she would find the book alphabetized by subject, and that the history books would be under H, but then Alex stopped her saying that he had found a book dating back almost a full millennium. That it may have some of the information that they were looking for. that he originally got it for Silver to help him get back with the times. Ice nodded, "I think that would be a great idea, less things to carry around that way and one less book to have to worry about returning later. For now though, I seem to like Electro's idea about finding somewhere to eat. Perhaps while we're waiting, we can... Oh wait.... That might be a bit difficult. From what I remember from the show at home, if it's the same here, Ponyville and Equestria runs off of a bit system, A coin system similar to what we had on earth. That being said, I don't know about anypony else, but I'm, I don't have any bits..." she admitted upon realizing the situation. Surely poor Aurora couldn't afford to treat all of them, and to expect her to would be down right rude.

She looked past everypony else to see that the red unicorn, who's name she still hadn't manage to catch at all was already heading outside, most likely thinking the same thing that they were. though by her facial expression wasn't seeing much. She tried to think again. This Ponyville was similar to the one in the show yes, but she was unsure if everything would still be here and if they would be named the same things as from earth. After all, they were in their world now and what they could have known as a reality could be a very different thing from what the reality in Equestria actually was. They would find out soon enough.

Still staring at Starry, he saw her blush and her face turn the darkest shade of red he had seen so far. His heart skipped a beat and all doubt cleared from his mind. It was obvious that she had figured it out. He felt her face press closer to his until their lips touched and they kissed.

Day closed his eyes, making sure to savor every second he could. His first impression of it was that it was wet... very wet. He was surprised that he was not disgusted by it as whenever he used to see other kissing so passionately he couldn't bear to look at it. It was only now that he realized that that was because it made him jealous and sad thinking that he would never get to experience it for himself. Well... he was wrong.

His emotions exploded inside him, feeling like they couldn't be contained and were going to burst out at any second. It was the happiest, saddest, and the most excited he had ever felt, all at once. He wasn't sure how much of of this he could handle before exploding with pleasure.

The kiss felt like it went on forever, even though logically he was sure only a minute or two had passed. When it finally ended by them both pulling away slowly, Day opened his eyes to see that Starry was still blushing, with an even darker shade of red which he did not think was possible. He couldn't help but blush himself. If he could see his own face, he was sure it would rival that of Starry's in colour.

"Um......thank you....that was wonderful.....I...I love you." She said with a smile before cuddling Daylight again.

"I love you too." He replied, before embracing her with a hug again. Thinking back, things had just happened so fast, but he didn't care. He had gotten to experience love for the first time, real pure love, and now felt the most relaxed that he could ever remember. He would cherish this moment always, and think back to it in times of hardship.

Releasing Starry and standing with all four hooves on the ground again, he felt a little sore from being in a strange position for such a long time. Next time they would have to try something different...

He couldn't help but continue to look at Starry and smile. It was then that he remembered that there was others around and he looked to see what they were doing. He was so relaxed that the thought of them watching what had just transpired did not worry him at all.

He saw and heard Klopp's partner who's name he learned to be Magenta, freaking out about some sort of "Zombies" which he very much doubted existed, and then mention the idea of going to the big castle which they could see in the distance to meet a "Princess Peach". Day frowned, he was sure he heard that name somewhere before. The only thing that came to mind though were red and green plumbers that traveled though pipes. How this had anything to do with where they were now he wasn't sure but traveling to the castle seemed like a good idea. Somepony there would hopefully be able to help them.

He looked up at the sky, it was getting rather late in the afternoon and he very much doubted they would get there before nightfall. They would need to find somewhere to spend the night tonight before heading off in that direction.

Day then heard another splash and saw Jack and Artsy fall into the lake. "What is it with this lake?" he thought. "Almost everyone seems to be falling in it! The sooner we move from here the better." He saw Jack was easily able to leave the water but it seems Artsy was having trouble. She had somehow managed to end up floating upside down with her hooves in the air looking rather silly. He couldn't help but chuckle a little but then frowned. He noticed that jack seemed unaware of his girlfriend's predicament and failed to check on her before leaving the water himself. He doubted how much he actuality loved her. He wouldn't be inconsiderate like that with Starry.

@, @

"Okay...ignoring that, what did I miss?

"Only your girlfriend almost drowning" he said coldly to him, before walking out next to the shore of the lake where Artsy was floating upside down. "Umm... do you need a hoof getting up?" he said to her trying his best to keep a straight face. Edited by Dave247

Aurora frowned, puzzled, as Alex stopped mid-sentence, obviously on the verge of divulging something and catching himself just in time. Huh, I wonder what a Cheyenne is. Probably something to do with "human", Aurora thought brightly. I still don't know where these ponies are from, actually. Or what any of those weird words actually mean. Ah well...if they want to tell me, they'll say something eventually.

The discussion shifted back to cutie marks, and Aurora spent most of the conversation half-focused on listening, and the other half contemplating the mark on her own flank. She'd never actually thought about it too much...it had seemed obvious in what it represented at the time, but now she wasn't so sure. The stars now never seemed quite so bright, as dazzling, as they had been in the meadow years back. It was almost like watching them through a film - they were still pretty, but lacked something that made them special. Of course, all the other ponies in Ponyville thought that was crazy.

"I guess we both have something to find out, don't we?" Alex asked, breaking the silence.

Aurora swished her tail once, quickly hiding that one moment of sadness behind her usual cheery smile. "Yep!" she laughed. "It'll be fun figuring out who we are, though. Well...I know we won't find any answers standing around here." Slightly impatient, she turned her head towards the other ponies in the group, silently counting them as they began to finish up. One, two, three, four, five...am I missing someone? Puzzled, she hesitated, about to double-check, when Alex interrupted her thoughts with a question on reading material.

"Depends on what you like," she replied, turning her gaze back towards him. "Umm...I hear this series called Daring Do is really popular right now. I've been meaning to check one out of here for ages." Her eyes wandered across the many large shelves before they finally fell on a row of the D column, near the top of one of the taller oak bookcases. "If you can reach it, that is," she added half-jokingly.

There was an ominous growling noise from behind Aurora, and she yelped in involuntary fright, the cruel, sharp features of a timber wolf springing into her mind. N-not again! She whirled around in terror, backing up a hoof-step as she frantically surveyed the scene in front of her, looking for the sign of danger. Rows and rows of unthreatening books loomed across her field of vision, as Electrobolt and Ice Storm stared blankly back at her, confusion written all over their faces. Puzzled, she blinked. "D-did you ponies hear anything...?"

The truth suddenly dawned on her, and Aurora felt her face flush crimson with embarrassment as Electrobolt took a glance at his own stomach., his face a matching shade of red. There was an awkward pause, permeated only by the sound of the shuffling hooves of others in the library.

"Um... Perhaps we could... Go find a place where we could eat... Or something...?" Electrobolt suggested, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

Ice nodded in agreement, and immediately launched into another ramble about "show" and "earth" that left Aurora none the wiser, try as she did to understand. "You ponies are from..earth?" she asked doubtfully, the name leaving no impression on her. "Is it someplace near Ponyville?" I'll go look it up in an atlas as soon as I get home! "Well, wherever you're all from, you ponies sure do look hungry," she commented. "Tell ya what," she announced, addressing the group. "If you all want to keep exploring, we can stop by Sugarcube and I'll treat you all to a snack. Or, umm...since it's almost noon, we could go back home and I'd make you all some lunch instead..."

Her voice trailed off slightly as she realized just how many guests there would be. Well...at least I bought all my groceries yesterday.

Once Daylight went away, Starry watched him trot down to the lake while, also she couldn't help but bask in the sweet memory of kissing him, since it was her first kiss, it had an intense impact on her, she was really glad to have done it with him

"Ehehehe, Awwww, Daylight,....I love you...."

That rosy moment will always be in her heart.........that is as long as she doesn't crash onto something and land on her head.

And now, Starry decided to relax for a bit and stare at the lake to experience it's beauty,

"Wow, this place really looks.....serene, and with a mountain up ahead with a castle..........Woah woah woah! What? A castle? Are ponies, capable of such architecture?"

Then she heard someone talking, so she looked to see that it was the magenta pony speaking, thanks to her volume, it was loud enough for Starry to listen to.

"We've gotta let 'em know!" she yelled, trotting in place. "Um, uh, the Princess will know what to do, yeah! That place up there, everyone told me about it: it's called... um... C--Canterlot! We need to talk to the Princess of the Sun! Her name is... uhhh..." Now all she had to do was remember the Princess' name, whose name had now totally eluded her. An image of the Princess she had spotted a few days earlier flashed through her mind, but it was now badly distorted and rather useless. Still, it was all she had to go by, so she went off of it. "She's pink and--and has a big horn and wings like an eagle! Her name is... um... Princess Peach!" She shouted triumphantly.

"Yes, that's her! Though I don't know why she's pink," Magenta paused to ponder the peculiar palette picked by a particularly posh princess. "It really doesn't suit her... she must dye herself or something... But Princess Peach will know exactly what to do!" Quickly returning from her ponderings, Magenta jumped over next to Klopp and twirled him around to face the city with her. Putting her left arm around his back, she pulled herself onto her hind legs and pointed to the castle with her free arm.

"Who's with me!!??"

"Could that castle, no place, be Canterlot? I guess so. Oh! I need to follow them!"

Starry ran down the hill in a hurry, but she tripped over because she wasn't really accustomed to running as a pony yet, she tumbled down and continuously got hurt, "Oww! Ack! Aah!" she grunted with every hit till she lands in the water, "WAAAAAH!"

And she made quite a splash, luckily she was very close to the coast, so she managed to swim her way out,

"Sigh, I shouldn't gallop too often, I-" Her thoughts were then interrupted by the sight of Artsy in the water

@,

"Huh? This is phenomenal!!" She exclaimed as she watched her float on the water, but when she looked around her hooves, her mood changed "Eh? What is that? Algae? They exist in this world too?"

@,

Then she sees the fedora pony walking up to the lake, "It's Fedora pony! Oh that's good! I'm sure he'll save her, that reminds me, where is Jack?"

Klopp was having the time of his life filling his stomach with these delicious flowers, but that ended when he looked up and saw Artsy flaying her hooves about in the air on the edge of the lake, before stopping and just laying there on her back with her hooves in the air, coerd in algae. The whole scene was slightly humorous, but he just couldn't help but feel sorry for her inability to get up on her own. All the flowers were gone anyways, so he decided to head over and lend her a hoof.

@,

"You okay Artsy? Lemme see if I can give you some help there..."

He wasn't sure how to help her in this situation, not without the use of some proper hands, anyways. He just settled on the one thing he could use effectively as a pony in order to get this algae untangled from her hooves; his mouth. He just grabbed the algae with his teeth and spit it back out into the lake. "BLeakckth! That shtuff tastes nasty! Nothing like them delicious flowers."

There was still a lot of algae tangled up in Artsy's hooves, so he just repeated the process until enough algae was gone for her to move about easily on her own. The terrible taste in his mouth was only a minor suffering in exchange for freeing Artsy from her nasty organic shackles.

"There, that ought to do it! Can you get up now?"

@@Aureity, Alex saw that she was confused when she heard Alex cut off his sentence about Cheyenne. He felt sort of guilty about it. Alex knows that she has went out of her way to help them when she had every reason to stay away from them, given what had happened at the forest edge. "As soon as we get a chance to talk, we gotta let her know everything that we know so far. She deserves that much." Alex thought to himself.

Aurora swished her tail once, quickly hiding that one moment of sadness behind her usual cheery smile. "Yep!" she laughed. "It'll be fun figuring out who we are, though. Well...I know we won't find any answers standing around here."

Alex nodded his head in agreement with her. He figured that two heads were better than one and might as well help her about her Cutie Mark while he was here in this world. Alex looked back at Ice Storm as she praised the idea of having the one book that they needed for information. Feeling ready to go, Alex asked Aurora about any kind of adventure books that might be interesting.

Alex listened as she told him about a series called 'Daring Do' and looked at where she was pointing at. It was at the top of the shelf labeled 'D'. She commented about Alex's ability of reaching the book, which he could tell that she was telling a joke. Alex couldn't help but grin at her statement before replying back. "Oh really now?" Alex willed his wings to float up slowly to the top of the shelf to grab the book with his front hooves. Alex looked at the cover bearing the title 'Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone' on the front with another Pegasus like him, but she was yellow coated with a jet-black mane. "Huh, looks interesting. Maybe I might-" Alex's thought got cut off when he heard a loud yelp from below.

she yelped in involuntary fright, the cruel, sharp features of a timber wolf springing into her mind.

Alex got startled for a sec to see what was going on and looked to Aurora in a small panic. Alex rushed his hover down to her. "Aurora, are you alright? What happened?" Alex asked in a hurry to try and assist Aurora. He saw her looking frantically around her, trembling as if she had seen a ghost. He noticed that the others around him were just looking at her with confusion on their faces. Alex started to have the same confused look as they were acting normal.

The truth suddenly dawned on her, and Aurora felt her face flush crimson with embarrassment as Electrobolt took a glance at his own stomach., his face a matching shade of red. There was an awkward pause, permeated only by the sound of the shuffling hooves of others in the library.

Alex looked to see that Electrobolt was rubbing his stomach as it was making a loud growl and that was when it dawned on Alex. He looked back at Aurora to see her flushing red with embarrassment at her small panic. Alex gave her a sympathetic smile as he looked towards the other ponies before he walked towards her, giving her a reassuring pat on her shoulder. (or at least, the place where Alex assumed the shoulder would be at for ponies) "It's alright, Aurora. It's okay." Alex whispered to her so as to not give away her embarrassment to the others. Now that Alex thought about it, his stomach has been very quiet lately, but it would only be a matter of time before it does protest again.

"Um... Perhaps we could... Go find a place where we could eat... Or something...?"

Alex looked towards Electrobolt as he gave a good suggestion. "I agree, that sounds like a good idea for most of the ponies here." Alex said to the green pony with a smile. Alex looked at Ice Storm when she made the notion about the requirement of monetary value in Equestria and making the reference about this being a TV show. "Hmmm, if it's true, I wonder why I haven't heard of this show before." Alex thought to himself. Regardless, it does present a problem seeing as how they are 'Bit-less'.

Or, umm...since it's almost noon, we could go back home and I'd make you all some lunch instead..." Her voice trailed off slightly

Alex was on the verge of making a plan with the group when Aurora spoke up. She made a suggestion of Earth being somewhere close to Ponyville and Alex could tell she was trying to understand our group. "We can't just let stumble around our situation blind. She has done so much for us already and we barely met her. I'll have to tell her as much as I know about our situation and what we have to do. I just need to talk to the group about it. Hopefully, they'll agree." Alex thought. Somehow, he doubted that Earth was just another town over seeing how he fell from the sky high up. Now that Alex thinks back, he must have landed softly thanks to his instinct telling his wings to help. Alex made a note to master at using his wings for more than just basic flight. Alex looked on to Aurora as she suggested that they could stop by a place called 'Sugarcube' for a snack. This did get Alex's craving for sweets skyrocketing seeing how it has been a while since he had a tasty treat. "I wonder if they sell ice cream. If they do, I wonder if they sell Sea-Salt Ice cream." Alex thought to himself. Somehow, he doubted it, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Of course, Alex had to converse with the group on whether or not to keep exploring. "That is really kind of you, Aurora." Alex said to the white unicorn. At that moment, Alex remembered about Silver and wanted to get his opinion.

@, "Hey Silver, I got something for you." Alex said to Silver with a loud whisper, keeping in mind that he was in a library. Alex went over to Silver and handed over the book 'Equestria: A History' to Silver for him to use. "I figured you might need it to catch up on current events. We can use it to figure out our next move." Alex said to Silver. "Come over real quick. There is something that everypony here needs to discuss." Alex said to Silver while beckoning him to the group. Alex got back to Aurora and the others. "Alright, who here is in favor of exploring the town some more?" Alex said to the group. At this moment, Alex noticed the orange-maned pony that he saw before at the door. Alex had a puzzled look on his face as he saw that the pony had a frightened look on her face, making Alex wonder what could possibly be frightening this pony. It also made Alex wonder if she is tagging along with the group, which would only provide one more mouth to feed for Aurora and she couldn't possibly attend to another. Alex walked over to this mysterious pony. "What's your name? Is she coming with us?" Alex asked addressing to this new pony as well as Ice Storm.

@,@@Dave247,

She was fairly disgruntled as she noticed something; Jack was still taking no action on her predicament. Was probably staring off into the sky thinking about binary ponies or whatever it was he STILL hadn't told her. Or maybe he had fallen asleep again. That man was ridiculous.

But just as Pumpkin Pie asked her a question, Klopp had begun to help her without any invitation. Putting his mouth on some nasty natureish things that he had no idea where they had been. The thought of it repulsed her slightly, though she was grateful. "You... you really didn't have to. Thank you." Then, she turned her attention to Pumpkin Pie. "He seems to have taken care of it. I'm all right." However, she wasn't quite free just yet. She continuously struggled even after being freed from her organic shackles though... she wasn't sure how ponies got up from their backs. In an attempt to finally regain her posture on four legs, she rolled to the side. And then to another side, nearly back into the lake.

"Oh no you... do... don't..."

Her eyes flashed green once more for a moment, and she saw everything before her displaying that tint. Some faces and places flashed into the pony's mind, and then a brief pang of pain throughout her head, which she clutched with her hooves. It felt like there was some kind of struggle of continuous conflicting thoughts. The green kept flickering on and off, as though being turned off by a very indecisive person.

"Get up. Abandon your human ways... surrender yourself to this world."

"No! Don't!"

"Just for a bit... then you won't make a fool of yourself..."

The conflicting voices and forces trailed off, and she recalled the voice she had heard before when she was alone on the lake. The others couldn't hear it, most likely. Did they have the ability to communicate via telepathy? But she recalled, they seemed particularly focused on embracing humanity... what was this other voice? Perhaps it would be wise to listen to it, if it edged her further away from the likes of them. But at the moment, since she had gotten to this world, her boyfriend was particularly inattentive, and not much good had happened. Embracing it would be a foolish endeavor.

"Does he... really... love you?"

She shook her head of the last remnant of the voices, and pushed herself into an upwards human sitting position. Quite slowly and awkwardly, she regained her position on four legs and looked to the entire group. Though Artsy tried hard to hide the disturbed expression on her face, she knew some of it couldn't help but leak and run off into the outside world. Such were her thoughts. Focus on other things. Focus... on your next destination.

As she observed the rest of the group, she realized that they were extremely disjointed. Magenta, though having more experience in this world, was clearly insane. Her brother and boyfriend were too clueless. Klopp? He was... well, he was decent, she supposed. With sufficient initiative. And Artsy really didn't know what to make of Punpkin Pie and his apparently new girlfriend. But from what she had seen, they didn't seem like leadership material either. She sighed slowly... realizing what was happening. If nobody else was going to step up, she'd have to be in charge of this raging group of misfits. She wasn't sure how...

Have a confident posture. Look them all in the eye. Yeah, easier said than done.

@, @, @,

"All right, I think that's enough fooling around. We need to get serious. Something weird's going on here with those bug things. Something we don't want to get in the middle of. I can just... feel it. So we need to start setting off. And maybe we'll set camp in the middle of it somewhere. We'll figure it out. But what's important is that... we take the first step. You guys want to get home, don't you? I bet the others by now have been way more productive than us. They haven't been falling into lakes! Falling asleep." She glared at Jack for a particular moment, then addressed them once more. "So let's mosey. Maybe we can learn how to control our bodies on the way."

Shaking off her embarrassing moment was easy for her to do, because her mind right now was distracted on other matters. Something very very odd was going on, and though she was curious, she wanted to go home more than to get to the bottom of it. They were outsiders. It wasn't their place to get involved in a conflict that had nothing to do with them...

But she was afraid that she herself had already gotten in too deep.

So far, they didn't seem to be paying her much mind, which caused her to get a bit bored. This group didn't particularly have much interesting to it. It lacked the amount of love to feed on that the previous ponies she had encountered seem to have. For the most part, Carrot Top zoned off on the discussions, thinking of a nice juicy healthy relationship to sink her fangs into. The energy radiating through it... how she loved it to touch her snout. It was one of those sensations that she had enjoyed and found vastly superior.

@@Ice Storm,

However, she did tune in for the bits that were relevant to her mission. She heard that they also weren't experienced with money from around here. More and more suspicious. They seemed to have been hungry. A perfect opportunity.

"W-well... I came here a while ago... and... I have some... b-bits... I think that's what they call it. I could... I think I have quite a few... I'll pay for you... if-if you like... Ice Storm. And some of the others as... well. Just as long as... we-we don't eat any... ap-apples," whispered Carrot Top in a hushed tone, flashing them a shy little smile of a thing.

@@Aureity,

She, however, couldn't restrain her reaction of shock at hearing Ice's words about earth. For a brief moment, that shy smile was replaced by a rather ominous smirk. Stupid clueless idiot. Earth! Yes, that proved it. They were surrounded by genuine humans. She had heard the legends from Lyra and her Queen. Earth, the human paradise. Their world, their land, much more superior to any place in Equestria. Their promised land.

The local had a sudden timid reaction... some kind of hallucination, a pipe dream she had heard that the others hadn't. A weak point. Ice had described her as timid... excellent. The smirk left her face as quickly as it had gone, however, and she continued to smile shyly as she made her way out of the door. "I... I think... I saw a si-sign to Sugarcube Corner. We should go-go there. It's... it's on me... let's go... everyhuman ..." She disregarded Aurora's offer completely, knowing that-

@,

"O-oh... I'm Car-carrot Top... and... of course I'm... c-coming... if... you'll all let me... I... I just... don't want to be... left alone..." She grimaced a little at her thoughts being interrupted by this pegasus, but relished the acting opportunity. In her own opinion, that sad face she had made whilst saying that to him was probably her most convincing yet. When she went to Earth, she'd have to take up acting there.

As Electrobolt was listening to the group speaking, debating what they should do, he heard Aurora was offering to take them to this place called Sugarcube Corner, or to her house for lunch. He also heard Ice mention some things about a show, and a bit system. He was confused about what she was going on about, but just shook his head. Right now, he just wanted some food. He could ask about this show thing later. "Um, I don't really mind either way, to be honest... But I think I'd---"

@

At that moment, he had just heard Carrot Top speaking up, suggesting that she had seen a sign to Sugarcube Corner and that it was on her. This sounded good, but he didn't really feel like having any sort of sweets yet, assuming that was what Sugarcube Corner sold. But when he heard the last thing that she said, he had a confused look on his face. In his mind, he thought, *Did she just say... Everyhuman...? No... I must be confused and hearing things... This hunger must be getting to me...* Clearing his head of these thoughts and looking back to Aurora, he then finished, "Um, I'd like to have lunch, if that's alright with the others."

Day was standing there, waiting for Artsy to respond when he heard a familiar voice grunting and then another splash. He turned to see that Starry had now fallen into the lake. "Well... that makes all of us now. This lake must be cursed or something..." he thought.

"Are you alright Starry?" he said worryingly to her as she climbed out. "Now your all wet. Let me... help with that..." Day said rather flirty and with a grin on his face began to rub his body against her's to help dry her off. He then saw Klopp had come over and started helping Artsy by freeing her from the algae that was keeping her trapped. As much as he had previously wanted to help he could see the look of disgust on Klopp's face from having to use his mouth to remove the algae and he was enjoying himself too much at the moment...

Then, she turned her attention to Pumpkin Pie. "He seems to have taken care of it. I'm all right."

"Hmm? Oh yes good" Day replied having got distracted for a moment. Artsy then was able to get up but rather clumsily, her rolling reminded him of that of her brothers before she stood up. It was then that he noticed that there was something going on in her head as she just stood there while watching the group and shaking her head. Whatever it was it seemed to be really troubling her.

Artsy then started talking and it could be heard and seen from her that she possessed the skills to lead the group. He was much to shy to ever do something of the sort himself although he wanted to one day have enough confidence in himself to do things. As he agreed with what Artsy had said and disliked talking in groups he just kept his mouth shut and didn't plan on saying anything unless something that concerned him came up.

Silver continued flipping through pages and pages of books, quite often getting side tracked by something a little more interesting. He was quite surprised when he found out that the bow and arrow he used had pretty much been retired. Nopony ever really used them anymore. They still existed, just they sat deep in the storage area's of Canterlot.

It made sense though, seeing how many ponies were disturbed by his carrying a weapon. He was still used to that being the norm. Ponies, guards in particular often had weapons on them. He didn't really understand why everyone was so on edge. What had happened between then and now that made such a difference?

@,

Silver lifted his head up from the weaponry book that he was reading, among three other open books he had traced back and forth from. Somepony had called his name. "I've got something for you." Silver quickly recognized the voice of Alex Night. He smiled the slightest bit and stood up, curious to find out what Alex was giving him.

Alex walked over and Silver went to meet him, resisting the urge to turn back and continue reading all about the sort of items and tools invented since his day. Alex handed Silver a large book labeled "Equestria: a History." Silver took it curiously and tucked it under his wing. "I figured you might need it to catch up on current events. We can use it to figure out our next move." Alex said to him.

Silver couldn't help but feel a little upset and annoyed, that the book he was looking for was somewhere else the entire time. He knew he couldn't really blame Alex though, he really was looking out for Silver so he felt he deserved some credit. "Thank you Alex Night. I greatly appreciate it." He said nodding to Alex.

"Might I ask what you mean by figuring out our next move?" Silver wondered aloud. Alex seemed to be in a hurry though, as he said something else quickly after. "Come over real quick. There is something that everypony here needs to discuss." Silver's eyes widened. It must be of some importance, otherwise they wouldn't call everypony together... Silver thought to himself.

Silver noticed the entire group had in fact assembled. And then some. There was a new earth pony that he had remembered seeing from earlier. Alex brought up about continuing the tour and moving on. Silver couldn't help feeling a little disappointed that they hadn't gathered for the sort of thing he was hoping. But he stayed a listened anyways. He kept quiet and sat to the edge of the group. He looked to the door longingly, knowing his bow was on the other side. He hated being nearly defenseless like this.

He couldn't help feel that Sugarcube Corner sounded like a pretty interesting name for a place. It caught his attention and he couldn't help but become curious about the sort of things they had for sweet treats now.

However the new pony seemed to be acting unusually suspicious. Sure she was timid, but in such a strange way that it didn't quite align with what he normally expected out of a timid pony. It almost looked... a little too timid and aware of their situation. When she said everyhuman Silver knew something was very wrong. Even his distant memories told him that was not how a normal pony, or human speaks.

"Alex Night, something seems odd about her..." Silver whispered very quietly to his companion, leaning over to him. "She does not appear to understand human speech, and she also seems to be a little exaggerated..." He pointed out to Alex, pointing with a hoof. He quickly brought his hoof down and stood normally as the ponies gaze reached him for a moment. Silver tensed and straightened away from Alex. He looked right back at her, trying to hide his suspicion as best he could. He knew he probably wasn't doing a good job though.

When she looked away again Silver relaxed, and waited for Alex or any other nearby pony to respond that may have heard him.

"Actually, I think it's a different planet, either that or it's the same planet from a different universe," she answered Aurora. "And as much as I know that you're probably wanting to know how we got here, I can assure you that we're trying to find out the same thing, and for others, a way to get back home. I haven't really been here long enough to judge, but from what I understand from home, I honestly don't really wanna go back. It's the complete opposite of everything is here, and believe me, if you don't have to go there you don't want to," she started. "Most of everyone there is always rude, not sometimes or whenever they get upset or angry, no everyone. Even in some of the smaller villages. People willing kill others of silly things like whomever had more milk in their cup, and you couldn't walk around a single corner without fear of getting robbed. I've only been in this place for about six hours, and I can already tell that everything is different here, and quite honestly. I don't want to go back," she spoke as she turned to look at the book.

"Still though, the fact that something here caused an earthquake to appear in our world and bring us to this one is... very precise I should say. Something here must have happened in order to create a crossover through universes. This did prove a few scientific theories at home, but it remains, we were brought here for a reason. I wanna know what that reason is, and I think that book," she said with a hoof pointing towards it. "Is going to have a vast majority of the answers we're looking for," she finished as she heard Carrot Top start speaking up again. She heard her mentioning that she was willing to cover her as long as they didn't have any apples.

"Hmm, well if everypony is going to Sugarcube Corner, then I would think that apples would be off the menu. If the show is accurate to this place, then Sugarcube Corner is a Bakery," she said with a smile. "Come to think of it, Donuts sound really good right now anyway. I'd be of for the offer, Thanks Carrot Top!" she said looking around to everypony else. "Anypony else coming? The more of us that are together, the least likely someones going to get left behind, and considering the only thing that any of us have to go off of at most, is a Television Show. I also remember there being three princesses. We need to find them. If anypony here would know what is going on, then it would be one of the three princesses," she said with confidence before hearing the pegasus call her into the corner.

She trotted over to the corner and listened to him talk a bit about exploring the town. "Well, as much as I would like to explore, I think figuring out why we're here is the most important objective. Ponyville is supposed to be rather small though, so I guess it shouldn't take too horribly long. As it stands though, like I said, things like this don't happen without a reason. In every circumstance of this in every book I've ready and movie I've watched, there's always been a purpose behind things like this," she commented as he asked about Carrot top and she introduced herself.

None of the other ponies had volunteered their opinions on her idea. And truth be told, Aurora was kind of hungry herself, but managed to stifle her impulse. Think about anything but food, she begged herself. Casting her eyes randomly around the room, searching for a distraction, Aurora's gaze, unluckily, fell upon a weathered cookbook that lay tantalizingly open on a nearby table. Even from this distance, Aurora could tell that it was filled with vibrant pictures of cakes, muffins and cookies. She blinked rather distractedly, red-faced as she still was from her earlier slip-up...and then, of course, her own belly chose that instant to grumble for food, breaking the silence between the group.

Her face reddening to a shade of scarlet that dwarfed even her previous embarrassment, Aurora gave the group an awkward smile, her cheeks feeling as if they were on fire, even as she was mentally hitting herself. "S-sorry...Um...I-I guess we're all hungry, then?" Aurora asked the group in an apologetic tone. The silence that followed her quiet inquiry could have killed, as most of the group continued looking at her, their faces expressionless. A knot seemed to form in her stomach as she hastily dropped her gaze from them, barely able to take a breath in her panic. Even still, she could feel them judging her.

Aurora's face flushed - so somepony had noticed her mess-up. "N-no, really," she stammered in protest. "I, uh...it's nothing. Really." She closed her eyes, wishing that she was anywhere but here, but Alex, undeterred, began patting her near the shoulder. Inwardly, Aurora groaned. Great, now it's obvious AND even more awkward. But even as her blush deepened, the knot in her chest did seem to loosen, and Aurora found herself able to breathe freely. Thankfully, before any more embarrassment could ensue, Alex moved away in the direction of Silver Arrow, and the awkward silence that had fallen upon the group broke as a familiar orange earth pony joined the circle, and opened her mouth to speak.

Aurora frowned in puzzlement as she listened to Carrot Top talk - she had never heard her stutter this much before. Even Aurora's own stuttering was never this bad. Is she frightened? Hurt? Or just in shock or something? she wondered as sudden sympathy flooded into her system. Maybe the parasprites got into her crop... Aurora had seen her just a few days ago, and she had seemed fine. "Carrot Top?" Aurora asked quizzically, but carrot Top did not seem to hear her, instead making her way out of the library.

Carrot Top paused for a brief second at the door, turning her head to announce her intention to treat the group to a snack at Sugarcube Corner. Confused at this strange turn of events, Aurora hastened forward. "Oh, Carrot Top...you don't have to," she protested, thinking about the precarious financial situation Carrot Top would be in if indeed she had lost her crop. "It's no problem, really...I got a small bonus from work last week..." But Carrot Top, ignoring her, trotted straight out the doorway.

Concerned, Aurora turned to the ponies that were still nearby. "Well, there's nothing we can do here anymore," she said, inserting a note of cheerfulness that she did not feel into her voice. "Let's follow Carrot Top to Sugarcube and find something to eat. And, um..." she shot a worried glance out the doorway where Carrot Top has disappeared to make sure that she had gone, before letting the false cheer drop from her voice. "Let me treat some of you, okay? I really don't think it's fair for her to have to pay for everypony...She was crying all last month when the price of a bushel of carrots dropped ten bits again.Aurora paused before adding, “I hope she'll be okay...” She didn't bother to disguise the concern in her voice.

"Well, umm...if you ponies would like a snack, let's get going then!" Aurora announced as she began making her way past the voluminous bookshelves towards the exit, thoughts still swirling around in her mind.

"O-oh... I'm Car-carrot Top... and... of course I'm... c-coming... if... you'll all let me... I... I just... don't want to be... left alone..."

Alex listened on as this pony was struggling to get her name across with great difficulty. He had never seen anyone act this timid before in his life. He felt slightly bad due to him not understanding why she is acting so frightened, but he did get her name, which was Carrot Top. "Wait, why does that name sound so familiar to me?!" Alex thought to himself.

"I... I think... I saw a si-sign to Sugarcube Corner. We should go-go there. It's... it's on me... let's go... everyhuman ..."

Alex listened on as Carrot Top gave an offer to treat everypony here something at Sugarcube Corner. He felt slightly more towards the idea since he was curious if whether or not they had Sea-Salt Ice Cream. Alex was surprised when he heard the phrase 'everyhuman' come from her mouth. "What in the world did she just say?... I have never heard someone from home call others like that..." Alex thought to himself.

Alex was surprised as Silver came to his left to whisper to him about his observations on Carrot Top's oddities. Although he wasn't doing a very good job at hiding his suspicion, the others didn't seem to notice. He was right though, something was off about Carrot Top, but he can't figure out what. Alex thought about it a bit, but his thoughts were interrupted by Electrobolt voicing his opinion about visiting Sugarcube Corner as well as Ice Storm voicing her opinion about getting to know the reason why they were here. Alex decided to let the matter go for now and whispered back to Silver. "We'll worry about it later, Silver." Alex whispered to Silver rather discreetly. Alex looked on to the group of ponies. "Alright, I guess it is Sugarcube Corner next, everypony." Alex told the group. At this point, he saw Carrot Top was already on her way out of the door.

Concerned, Aurora turned to the ponies that were still nearby. "Well, there's nothing we can do here anymore," she said, inserting a note of cheerfulness that she did not feel into her voice. "Let's follow Carrot Top to Sugarcube and find something to eat. "Well, umm...if you ponies would like a snack, let's get going then!" Aurora announced as she began making her way past the voluminous bookshelves towards the exit, thoughts still swirling around in her mind.

Alex saw that Aurora spoke up as she told the group about her possibly bad situation with her crops and made Alex wonder if that is why she was so nervous back there. "I guess this world does have its share of economic problems as well." Alex thought. Alex was slightly taken aback when she offered to treat some of them. "Oh, that's really not necessary, Aurora." Alex said to Aurora. However, she didn't seem to hear it as she was already on her way out of the door. Alex gave a slight smile. "This world really brings out the best in others, doesn't it" Alex thought to himself. He looked onto the others. "Well, you heard the mare. Let's get going." Alex told the group with the same smile that he wore before trotting after Aurora towards the exit.

@@Dave247,

When Daylight approached her and rubbed his body against hers in an effort to dry her up, she found it to be quite pleasant, however it also embarrassed her a bit. "Aaah! Wh- what are you doing? Uh......Drying me with your coat? Um....I....I actually find it.....pleasing." She spoke with reluctance, then her heart starts beating faster "Oh no, it's beating faster because of him, well....I guess it's okay now, now that we.....we...kissed." She blushed again and looked at him, "Uh....thanks," kissing him on cheek and giggling afterwards.

After Watching Fedora pony get the algae off Artsy's hooves, Starry felt a sense of relief, then she approached her as she started talking.

"All right, I think that's enough fooling around. We need to get serious. Something weird's going on here with those bug things. Something we don't want to get in the middle of. "Um.....I agree, we should really get used to them...and...in my case....I should get used to flying, uh....let's introduce ourselves! Um...I'm Starry Sky...you can call me Starry or Starr for short," She looked around to check if there's any other pegasai around besides Fedora pony and herself, but didn't find any, then she noticed that she's the only female pegasai around "Oh yeah...I'm the only female pegasus in this group, this.....this actually gives me the goosebumps," Her mind snapped back to reality "Oh...Um...please take care of me!" she spoke without thinking "Eeek!" she covered her mouth with her left fore hoof, embarrassed by what she had said "Um....was that a proper introduction?!?"
