There only been a few seasons in English even it was AMAZING show, it continues on in Japan.

the story is as follows:

Jimmy Kudo is a 17-year-old high school prodigy who frequently helps the police to solve cases. During an investigation, he is attacked by two criminals, codenamed Gin and Vodka, from the syndicate known as the Black Organization. They force him to ingest an experimental poison, APTX 4869, and leave him to die. A rare side-effect of the poison, however, transforms Kudo's body into that of a child instead of killing him.

I LOVE this show and I keep watching the subbed version every so often. I first got into the series when I was about 13 years old... and its still running today :D

Wow haven't thought about this show in so long and it's astonishing it's still going! I used to love watching this when I was younger (only 20 so younger wasn't too long ago though) but season 16? Wouldn't he be naturally grown back into his original age by this point? lol Thanks for letting me know/reminding me it still exist because now I get to waist hours upon hours upon hours watching it!

Case Closed is one of my favorite Animes. In german the Series is getting a Dvd Release currently, including the normal series, some specials and almost all of the Movies. In english i think they stopped to produce Dvds of it, but maybe we germans have more luck and get more of the Series dubbed.

I think the series might be a little to long, but the cases are to good to not watch and life is just about getting your time over with anyway, so XD

Some cosmic entity who's sympathetic to him must've enchanted that whole setting with Simpsons spacetime -- to give him all the time he needs to solve his age issue.

Ahh yes, my favorite anime. I was exposed to the English dub through Adult Swim and various dvds that my brother had.
As a kid, I was intrigued by it, but thought it was too real. Nowadays, I love it. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was one of the contributing factors to my interest in murder and mysteries.

I still have yet to watch the entirety of the English sub, most of what i watched was on Netflix and out of order, I think.

I remember watching the english dub on Adult Swim, when I was younger. It's been quite a long time since I've seen the anime, but I thought the characters and cases were pretty interesting. I might try to watch the anime again, sometime in the future.

How did I never realize this was a thread?!

But yes, this show and the movies were my childhood! I binged these films all the time when I was a few years younger. Hell, I still own 4 books, 17 movie DVDs, two boxes of figurines, and one of the seasons of the show on DVD. I think the only Japanese thing I liked more than this was Doraemon, you don't want to know my collection for that. :adorkable:
