Hypno noticed Starbolt ask him what was wrong. He collected himself for a few seconds before starting. "A year after you left the forest, I met a mare. She was the only thing that actually meant something to me, and gave my boring forest scavenging life meaning... But once this... infection started... We had no idea. Once the infected reached the forest, they ambushed us. And she ended up getting bitten right in the neck." He started to cry again "T-there was nothing i could do to s-stop it, i at least killed them afterward. B-but she slowly started to turn and bleed out afterward... And i lost her forever now..."

"I-I'm sorry." She said to Hypno. "I bet she was a nice mare." She added. Starbolt thought back to Lapis Lazuli. How could she tell Octavinyl about what she did. Starbolt killed Lapis.... It was her turn to cry now.....

"Something wrong with you too?" He asked her as he wiped the tears from his face once more. He needed to calm himself, he was acting like a wreck so far and that wasn't going to get him too far when it comes to surviving. But he didn't see the point of surviving anyways. "A few minutes before you arrived, I was with a group of ponies. We were ambushed and there was one pony named Lapis Lazuli. He saved Octavinyl who is the one in charge here, at the cost of his own life. I got left behind when one of the other ponies here fled with carrying Octavinyl with her. I saw Lapis..... His last words..... Before he turned into one of them.... H-he attacked me and.... I was forced to k-kill him....." She replied to Hypno sobbing a little.

Hypno patted her on the back "It'll be alright, you did what you had to" He said with a sniffle. His voice was oddly comforting in a magical way to Starbolt only. "We just... gotta calm ourselves i suppose."

Starbolt suddenly felt better. "I-I uhh.... I guess you're right." Starbolt replied to Hypno. His words for some reason calms her.

Fae flew into the main lobby after scout the outside area. 'Starbolt, you're back. It's Hypno!' Fae told Starbolt hovering next to her.

"Hello Fae. Yes I found Hypno." She replied to Fae.

Hypno looked at Fae and gave a wave, knowing he could not hear her at all. He slumped down in his chair and closed his eyes, trying to calm himself further. He took a few deep breaths, still in shock of what had happened to him.

Starbolt sat there next to Hypno. She began to doze off. She kept on thinking on Hypno's words. For some reason they were very calming.

Fae went and looked outside for any other ponies around.

Octavinyl turned back to Misty with a feeling of anguish, "We could've saved him! If you hadn't run off like that then this wouldn't have happened!!! He saved your life too when you got bitten in the leg and he carried you to shelter!" she yelled at Misty for her disastrous actions. Of course yelling at her wouldn't do anything to help the situation. She got back on her hooves with her ears dropped and face still wet with tears. Octavinyl set up the papers and pens in the lobby for everypony to vote for the leader. As she finished, she collapsed on the floor and continued crying, 'I shouldn't have put him on such a ridiculous mission! This was all my fault from the start, but if Misty had just stayed in formation we all could've came back safely. I was selfish to love Lapis, even if he didn't love me, he would still care about me...' Octavinyl thought to herself as she kept beating herself up with mere words. She directed her attention to Misty who didn't seem to care about Lapis at all, 'I will kill her when I get the chance!...No... Lapis wouldn't have wanted me to kill anypony...' She was in a hurt and confused state and just continued mourning for Lapis.

(OOC: I'll be very busy for the next two days, so I won't be able to post much. Feel free to control Silver Heart if you can. You can even make her do some larger decisions and to talk to some others if you wish. All I ask is that you keep her relatively useless in a fight and you don't kill her off.)

 

(OOC 2: Mayuen have you been let inside yet? Octavinyl, Misty, and I are in the hospital. Other then us I'm not sure where others are.)

 

Silver Heart walked back into the lobby to see that the scavengers were back. Her heart immediately skipped a beat as she realized that only a few were back. She didn't see Lapis, only Silver Heart and Misty. Frantically she searched the room for her friends. Her eyes finally landed on Octavinyl, who was weeping as she lay on the floor. Silver Heart ran quickly up to her friend, fearing that she already knew why Octavinyl was crying. "Octavinyl..." Silver Heart whispered as she got near her friend.

Octavinyl's weeping woke up Starbolt. Starbolt stood up and walked next to Octavinyl. "Hey, it's okay, it's okay.... I-I was there when he died.... He told me to tell you.... He loved you." Starbolt whispered to Octavinyl.

Octavinyl turned to Starbolt and Silver Heart, "He really did say that?... It's all my fault that he died... I-I shouldn't have let him go on the mission, but Misty... she recklessly ran off..." she said to them in a soft tone.

Ruby tiredly half-flew, half-glided down to the floor, she barely was able to keep her balance when her hoofs touched the floor. It seems the wound on her face was deeper than she though, and she had lost lots of blood. "T-Thank you for letting me in, I am so happy to see other ponies again" she whispered, seemed even though she was hurt, terrified for life and had just fight of a monster she still had a hard time keeping a normal tone when speaking with others.

"It's not your fault... It's mine I shouldn't of lagged behind. If I was there maybe I could of fought of the infected attack..." She told Octavinyl. Starbolt didn't mention when she had to kill the infected Lapis. She knew that if she said that Octavinyl would probably hate her.

Silver Heart walked closer to Octavinyl to give her a hug. "It wasn't your fault dear..." She said in an attempt to comfort. "It was misty's fault, not yours." Silver Heart whispered, hoping she had said it quietly enough that Misty hadn't heard, she had seen what Misty was capable of and didn't want that to happen to her. Silver Heart was looking past her friend as a pegasus that had a rather nasty cut on her face. She was conflicted over whether to stay and try to comfort her friend or to go help the new arrival.

Seeing the pegasus finally relaxing slightly from a traumatic time stuck on the roof, Emerald let a slight smile go.

"Hmm, You appear to be losing a fair bit of blood there...You need help getting to a nurse?"

'I'm amazed she's still standing after that...She must be tougher than she looks...'

A slight recollection surfaced,

"You...You're..Umm, Err....Uh..We met before didn't we....A while back.....Nope, I've lost it, I'm Emerald Blaze, usually just Emerald though...What's your name?"

'Hey, there's a nurse over there...She's like, one of the last nurses in this place...I wonder if she's seen us..'

"I-I need a moment alone..." Octavinyl replied as she got up and flew towards the elevator. She then went back to her hospital bed while leaving a trail of tears behind. Of course she wasn't going to commit suicide, that would make Lapis's death in vain. She got herself into the hospital bed and just kept weeping over Lapis.

"Y-Yeah... I needed to fight of some of those... monsters, I didn't get bitten though so I won't get infected" Ruby blinked away some of the blur from her eyes before she continued. "I-I'm Faint Ruby, but you can just call me Ruby. S-Seems or names matches each other"

She saw one of the ponies flying away in deep sorrow. "H-Have something happened?"

Silver Heart watched on helplessly as Octavinyl flew off knowing that she couldn't do anything to ease her friends pain. Lapis had been a good pony, she hadn't known him well but he didn't deserve to die in this situation. Silver Heart walked over to the newly arrived pegasus and asked "Hello, I'm Silver Heart. I can help you with your cut."

Starbolt also felt sad. Technically she is the one that killed Lapis Lazuli. She concentrated and in a flash of light she disappeared.

 

Starbolt reappeared on the roof of the hospital. She was upset and sad. She sat on the edge of the roof looking at the street. There were several infected lumbering about. Fae's spores were keeping them away from the hospital though. Starbolt felt a sudden anger take over her. She stood up and from the roof started to fire several arcane bolts. The infected didn't stand a chance. Almost all of them were obliterated. Starbolt levitated one of the surviving infected and pulled out the knife Hypno lent her and stabbed it several times, she then threw the dead infected back down to the street. She returned the blade back to it's sheath. Starbolt sat down again and began to cry.

"I-I'm Ruby, that would be appreciated" Ruby answered Silver Heart, but then turned her head back at the direction Octavinyl left with a concerned look on her face "I-I guess something has happened?"

Earth and Air Opal made their way toward the hospital, only stopping a few times to get rid of a few zombies. Upon arriving at the hospital, Earth Opal shouted, "Could somepony give us a hoof? We have a reverse mutation here!"

Silver Heart gave a half-hearted smile to Ruby. "It's nice to meet you Ruby. If you will just sit still for a moment I can close the wound for you." Silver Heart casting her magic. "Yes, one of our friends, Lapis, didn't make it back. Octavinyl, the white pegasus that just flew off is handling it especially hard. She liked him."

"That's a point, do you know what happened to Octavinyl? I saw her crying and she flew off somewhere..I'm guessing something pretty bad happened...Um...Nurse, Miss. Silver, can you check this cut on my leg out after you've dealt with Ruby here, I wanna make sure I don't get infected, but she's losing a lot of blood..."

Hearing a shout from the entrance hall, Emerald jerked around slightly,

'Did he say...Reverse mutation?...That's possible?'

This possibility brightened up Emerald quite a bit - They could maybe save some of these infected beasts...The ones left, anyway...

"I see, how terrible..." was the only thing Ruby answered. What else was there to say, really? She kept quiet and let Silver Heart do her casting, when she suddenly heard he shouting. Reversed mutation?
