Carrick turned above him to see the fedora-wearing peagsus on the Minotaur's back. He seemed to of asked if Carrick was fine. Carrick touched the blood from his forehead and wiped it on the grass. Never better, just a blood mark on my head. A bit dizzy, a burning arms as well as-

 

The minotaur took the pony off his back and he flew alongside Carrick. He suggested a team up to defeat this beast. Carrick couldn't help but, adjust his fedora give a big "heh." It was probably the best idea. The sounds of the battles around him were silenced in his head. All he saw was the minotaur in front of him, he could see the seething anger that Carrick could even feel. If he just able to get a few hits on the beast. This fight might end. He took a deep breath and analyze the minotaur in front of him. He slowly saw if he could do. The only weak spot he could find was his head.

 

"We need him to go back to a four legged stance. Stay low and dodge his charges." Carrick whispered to the fedora-wearing peagsus. Hopefully, that feeling he had gotten to get here doesn't kill him or the others...

Everything had come together, the inevitable fight ensued. Ice knew that the minotaurs wouldn't back down. They were too dense, dumb, and prideful to get talked down by ponies, but they would soon find out that with the group that they had, they would have been better off doing just that. The fiery unicorn, and the grayish blue pegasus were the first to attack, a pillar of fire going up while two pegasi that were in the air managed to tangle up and one of them had been sent to the ground. Just then though Ice noticed that the fire unicorn had lost his magic. not good, she thought to herself as she noticed the minotaur walk over to her with the intent to harm and leaning into her. Ice started to run in her direction. REALLY not good, she spoke in her mind as the spell that she had been charging released.

 

The shot was true to it's mark and put enough force behind it to sent the Minotaur into one of the nearby trees. She was certain that if you listened closely, you could hear the bones snapping on impact. Ice ran over and got in front of the other unicorn. "Are you okay?" she asked before a decent sized boulder came into contact with her neck and chest shattering the ice armor that she had cause some of it to cut into her. "Not so tough now are you popcicle?" the minotaur laughed. She let out another quick burst of icy energy to freeze his mouth shut. "Sorry, your mouth seemed to be leaking, I plugged it up for ya though," she spoke defiantly.

There was too much going on for her to process.

 

In the ensuing chaos of the fight, a pony being beaten to bleed and other such nonsense, icy magicks and crazy fires... she had no idea what was happening. All she knew was that it was frightening, and she wanted to get away from it. The magic in her horn fizzled out as she could not retain the intense focus her magic required. It was all too distracting. She needed peace and quiet. Even in noticing that the ivory pegasus had returned, she had no real urge to return his fedora to him anymore. All she desired to do was to edge away from this insane situation.

 

Things were getting too serious.

 

"Make it stop... make it... s-stop... I... I don't know... what to do... can't... can't..."

Her eyes began to tear up from overstress, as she turned her attention to the first pony she had encountered, and felt a sense of attachment towards. One of the foul beasts had delivered a brutal kick to his head, and knocked him over completely. A sense of concern overwhelmed her as she looked down to see if he was okay. Still breathing... still alive. But her body was more frozen than the icy unicorn.

 

Then... it came.

 

The still nameless mare's horn began to glimmer more intensely, growing brighter and brighter, and more vivid. She could hear the sounds of words in her mind, awash in a wave of chaotic thinkings. It was a lot of what occurred before a typical spell use, but she could feel it heating up beyond her expectations, and a little bit beyond her control. Still, she grasped at the reigns of control in her mind, searching for words such as "power," "restraint," and "manipulate." Those words echoed more within her mind, and made a shape in reality. Each of the words manifested as an image, the image extending from the magic emanating from her horn and creating a beast of crimson light. The bipedial beast was roughly as large as the minotaurs. It had a caninelike muzzle and overall shape, and displayed a great deal of protruding claws and fangs.

 

She continued to focus within her mind, unable to speak at the moment. But the beast's roars spoke for her. It angrily slashed its claws across the trunk of a tree, showing that it was indeed somewhat corporeal. It stood sentinel in front of her and the fallen pony, before she commanded it to leap at the minotaur that had attacked him. The creature let out another ear-shattering roar, and ripped off a sharp pointy branch from a tree. It brandished its makeshift weapon at the minotaur, managing to draw a little blood from his arm. He backed off slightly, looking extremely uncertain at these ponies... maybe they were more tough than they figured...

 

Sweat dripped down her forehead... she couldn't maintain this for much longer.

[Alex Night 870]

Alex surveyed the field to see that everypony was involved one way or the other. He looked to see which pony needed the most assistance. Jet Stream got hit pretty bad by Ali when she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing while attacking the Minotaur who in turn was able to land a hit on Ali. Alex then saw that the Earth Pony with the fedora was joined by Klopp after he hit the Minotaur that the Earth Pony was dealing with on his own. He also saw that the fire unicorn collapsed after having to hold the largest Minotaur in the fire field for a long time. Alex was about to fly to his rescue until he saw Ice Storm jump in to knock the Minotaur for a loop. However, she didn't see the Minotaur get back up after the hit and struck her to cause her Ice armor to shatter. She immediately shot a block of ice to its mouth in order to stop the Minotaur's laughter.

Alex saw the tan unicorn finally conjure a spell, but he never expected what he was going to see. It was a conjuration in the form of a great beast that was using a giant branch as a jagged wooden blade. The Minotaur that was attacking Ali Finish and Jet Stream was backing off out of caution, fear, or both; Alex couldn't be certain which. Weighing his options, Alex decided to help Ice Storm with her Minotaur problem. Alex hovered a couple feet off the ground to give him an extra boost of speed to help check the large Minotaur that was distracted by its frozen mouth. After reaching the height he wanted, Alex flapped his wings as fast as he could to shoot off like a bullet towards the Minotaur. Alex positioned his body with his front right hoof extended like a pony superhero and made contact with the back of the Minotaur's head, causing it to be dazed before just collapsing on the ground. Alex shook out his hoof after the impact to alleviate the pain of using his hoof as a battering ram on the Minotaur's head. "Nice work with the ice attacks. That's impressive." Alex told Ice Storm. Alex placed his eyes back to the tan unicorn and her conjuration. He could tell that the magic that she was wielding was taking its toll on her as well and it wouldn't be long before she has to stop the magic.

 

All of a sudden, Alex heard a roar to his left and saw that the first Minotaur that he dealt with earlier was back on its feet and charging straight for the tan unicorn, whose concentration was focused on the magic she was using. "Oh no, she'll get hit if I don't stop the charge." Alex thought to himself. He took one last look to Ice Storm before flying off with all of the speed he could muster. Alex reached out with both front hooves and aimed for the right horn of the Minotaur. Moving with intensity in his speed, Alex made contact with the Minotaur's horn to wrap his hooves around it. Alex utilized his momentum to pull the Minotaur's charge off course to the left. Alex managed to let go of the Minotaur and flying in back flips before the Minotaur made contact with a tree which Alex saw that the Minotaur wasn't getting back up again any time soon now. Alex was attempting to once again right himself before he felt a great hit come at him in midflight. Alex got hit in the back of the head by the impact of one of the trees. He slumped down to the bottom of the tree seeing stars around him. He could barely get a glance, but he could tell that it was one of the Minotaur and could see him closing in to give Alex the beating of his life. The words spoken from the Minotaur were all garbled to him in his dazed state. "Vision fading.... Can't stay awake..." Alex thought groggily as he strained his eyes to stay open which was being a monumental effort to him. He could see the fist of the Minotaur rising. "Say goodnight, my little pony." It was what Alex was able to catch at all and watched on as he was about to destroyed by the Minotaur, failing at being able to protect the ponies he just met. Before passing out, he saw a purple light encircling the Minotaur which now flew across the clearing and the hazy image of a light purple figure standing in front of him.

Twilight and Silver galloped through the various thickets of trees to find the source of the disturbance. As they were getting closer, she could hear the telltale sounds of a battle raging on. "What in the world is going on?" Twilight thought to herself. She looked behind for a second to check to see if Silver Heart was keeping up and sure enough, she was. Twilight saw daylight ahead underneath the dark canopy of the Everfree and pushed through the light to see a battle royale between 8 ponies and 4 Minotaur. "Sweet Celestia, what is everypony doing here?" Twilight thought in shock. The battle wasn't looking good for the most part on the ponies as she was seeing a grayish Pegasus get smacked down by a Minotaur when she was paying attention to another Pegasus she hit accidentally, a white Pegasus and an Earth Pony working to whittle down another Minotaur, and an ice blue unicorn trying to help out a red unicorn who was looking so tired that are also right next to a Minotaur with its face in the dirt after light-blue Pegasus checked the Minotaur. She also saw a tan unicorn using a conjuration of a great beast trying to take down the Minotaur attacking the two Pegasi. At this point, she heard a roar as another Minotaur from the back was charging to the tan unicorn before being thrown off-course by the light-blue Pegasus and into a tree. Twilight looked to Silver Heart who was watching the desperate battle. "They are all holding on, but I don't know for how long..." Twilight told her with worry and concern in her voice. She looked to see the light-blue Pegasus get punched into a tree by the Minotaur that was down by the two unicorns and he was not getting up. Twilight saw the Minotaur closing in on the Pegasus and decided that she had to take action. "Silver Heart, get down next to the tree by the light-blue Pegasus and see to his injury." Twilight looked to Silver Heart as she spoke in the same way she does when she has a plan.

 

Twilight's horn glimmered brightly before she disappeared into thin air and reappearing in front of the Minotaur before it strike down the blue Pegasus. With her horn glowing still, Twilight focused a levitation spell on the Minotaur in front of her and sent it flying into the Minotaur staring down the beast conjuration being controlled by the tan unicorn, effectively knocking down the two Minotaur hard. "Go ahead, Silver Heart! It is safe over here now!" shouted Twilight Sparkle. Twilight let her horn stop glowing in order to conserve her magical energy and ran towards the tan unicorn and two Pegasi to stand by them. She looked towards the two Minotaur on the ground dazed from the impact. "That's enough from all of you. Take your friends and leave while you still can." Twilight said while making her horn glow with magic to show that she wasn't playing around. The biggest Minotaur that was down looked at the purple unicorn and shock was in its eyes as it knew who this unicorn was when it looked at the mark on her flank. He could see that was gonna be a losing battle for the four of them now. "Uhh, boys. We gotta bail on this one. Besides, these little ponies aren't worth our time. Get moving!" said the biggest Minotaur as it was getting up and running through the treeline without looking back to see if they were following.

While Twilight confronted the minotaurs, Silver Heart sat back by the trees. While she waited for Twilight to take care of the minotaurs she looked at all the ponies that had fought. From what she could see, it looked like everypony was injured. She was particularly worried about the pegasus that had been knocked unconscious. After Twilight had thrown the minotaur away from the lightblue pegasus, Silver Heart ran over to Alex Night. She checked his pulse, luckily he was still breathing but he wasn't conscious. We really need to get him to the hospital. Silver Heart lifted her head and looked over in Twilights direction, waiting for her to come back. A medical team most likely would not be able to make it through the Everfree Forest, but maybe Twilight could teleport them out.

Carrick was ready to fight off this minotaur with his new ally on his side. Though his plan wasn't the best, he knew if enough effort and determination he would beat the odds and defeat the beast in front of him. Though it seems that providence was on his side again when a very famous unicorn appears in the woods with another mare. As if all of her effort needed was to just open a box from Princess Celestia she was able to scare the minotaur and made the one in Carrick's battle retreat.

 

Carrick took a sigh of relief as the battle was not needed, Providence was shining on me today. Who would of though that Twilight Sparkle would come and save this whole group. Though he didn't know Twilight Sparkle in a personal level. He knew her by all of story that written about her all around Manesdale. He turned to the battle and saw many ponies bruised, cut, and even unconscious by the battle. The one who got the most beating was that blue peagsus. The detective wiped the cut from his forehead and walked up to blue peagsus with the silver unicorn. Carrick saw the beaten he gotten, and from the look of what Silver Heart was doing and her reaction, he had a pulse. Carrick looked at him, he was still need some sort of medical attention and it would need to be in a rush so he's not necessary.

 

Carrick didn't have any type of first-aid kit with him. However, though his front hooves where still felt the pain of the battle. He knew what needed to be done. "If anyony can't heal him, I need to know now or I'll have to take him to the hospital." He said. There were many unicorns here. There must be somepony who can helped him now.

Watching the events unfold made her lose her focus, and effectively paralyzed the beast in motion. She could do nothing more but be haplessly frozen at an assault from one of those terrible minotaurs coming towards her, and then the one who had proclaimed himself Alex Night, a leader, save her and her conjuration quite selflessly. She could only blink and watch further in awe as the events escalated to an amazing fever pitch. The purple unicorn she had recognized and heard talk of appeared. With impressive effort of magic (that had caused a spike of jealousy within Artsy's mind. Why was she so useless? She had barely managed to do as much in the battle as the others), Twilight Sparkle ended the battle swiftly.

 

The still-unnamed tan unicorn panted and broke off her magical connection from the beast. Both the magical glow encapsulating her horn and the monster of light faded away. She was a bit exhausted as it had been a while since she had summoned something semi-corporeal like that, but compared to the injuries of the others, she was quite unscathed. The minotaurs hadn't even touched her.

 

Unsure of what to do, she merely stood there feeling a cascade of guilt and regret wash over her. They fought, and they were injured. She ran like a coward from them, and they had saved her. If she hadn't had run away, they wouldn't have followed her into the clearing. And never have seen the minotaurs. This mare was no such healer. So even now, she couldn't help. She couldn't even levitate, or teleport, or aid them in any concrete way to help them get to the hospital. And no physical strength either... her magical abilities would not prove much. Right now, she simply didn't have the energy to conjure a fully corporeal beast to even carry some of them.

 

The tears in her eyes had not yet dried, but only begun to pour a bit more freely. In their scrambling, she knew they wouldn't notice. Then, a simple idea of what to do had entered her mind.

The fedora was still in her basket. She hadn't returned it to the ivory pegasus.

 

Trotting over to him carefully, she picked it up in her mouth and presented it before him. She noted that the pony with the other fedora was still standing near him, and quite injured, but tried to ignore the twinge of guilt from his words of hospitalization. The point was, she felt this would be a fitting end to the events. The fedora that had started it all.

Klopp prepared to take on the minotaur, but he soon found out it was unnecessary as a purple unicorn came along and took care of the situation on her own. He was a bit unsure of what to do at this point, there were a few injured ponies, and one pegasus in particular was in need of immediate medical attention. Klopp never knew what to do in these type of situations, so he just stood in place and let his eyes sweep across the scene, and there was really nothing positive going on at all.

That was until the nameless tan pony walked up to him, and pulled a very familiar looking fedora out of her basket. Klopp smiled and said loudly, "It's Pheddie! Thank you!" Klopp took the hat from her in his mouth and threw it into the air, the piece of cloth landing perfectly on his head and he smiled at the small pony in the glasses, before again reviewing the aftermath of the recent struggle. His smile gone as quick as it came, and with his hat reacquired, he felt a little more confident in what needed to be done.

 

"If anyony can't heal him, I need to know now or I'll have to take him to the hospital."

Klopp walked over to the injured unicorn and took a look at his injuries, before offering his own assistance to the pegasus. "If he needs to be taken to the hospital it would be quickest to fly him out of here. I may not be as fast as Ali there, but I am stronger and the added weight won't slow me down. So if no one here can heal him, I'll be glad to fly him to the hospital. But I must know right now! Is there anypony here that can heal him!?"

 

He got up close to the downed pegasus and was ready to pick him up and take off as soon as possible once he knew if none could help heal him.

Everything was happening so quickly, and Ice could now feel the pain setting in from the contact with the boulder and the blood that was now trickling from the cuts on her chest. With her armor now completely useless she would have to be creative in what she was going to do next. These minotaurs were tough, and were taking a lot from them and still getting back up. Everypony here seemed to be decently powerful, but these minotaurs just wouldn't stop. What more are we going to have to do to get rid of these idiots? she thought to herself getting ready to attack the minotaur that had hit her with the boulder. As soon as she got ready to launch her counter attack towards the Minotaur she was forced to take a step back that towards her side she saw a bright red, very large canine creature attack one of the others and draw blood making it stagger and then watched a purple beam of energy take the one that she was aiming for and chucked him back a good ways. She turned to see that the beam came from Twilight and they seemed to be decently afraid of her.

 

Twilight came forward and the Minotaurs bolted and the dark blue pegasus looked like he had taken a swift hit to the head and was unconscious. It was very concerning for Ice and apparently several of the others, as the brown earth pony asked if any of then knew healing magic, that if not, they would have to take him to the hospital. When no pony else spoke up, Ice decided that she better do so. "I don't know about anypony else here, but I don't know any healing magic. Right now I kinda wish I did, but that's beside the point. The point is, he was hit in the head. I don't care how much magic anypony knows I think a visit to the hospital would be the best to check for injuries that we can't look for," she said turning to Twilight, realizing that she was still in her ice armor, and with a small bit of light from her horn and a kick of her back hoof, it shattered off of her.

 

"Twilight, thank Celestia you got here when you did. I have no idea what happened to anypony else, or even myself for that matter. All I remember was going to sleep last night at my store, and then waking up out here in the middle of the forest. Then I ran to everypony else out here almost as if something was leading us here. At the very least I know you know how to get us out of here," she said with relief before her eyes went wide and then put her hoof under her chin in a thinking motion before speaking again. "That being said though, I brought it up earlier but if something brought us, here, or at the very least, I know something brought me here, I'd like to find out what it is before leaving so I only have to find my way out of this place once. This isn't really the place that anypony should visit on there own more than once unless they are visit Zecora," she spoke still dumbfounded as to how she even woke up here to begin with.

As Twilight looked on to see that the other Minotaur were following the biggest one through the treeline and out of her sight, she took one last look around the clearing before deciding to let up her magic. She looked at all of the ponies around her and her timing couldn't be more perfect. She saw that some of them had some cuts and bruises while some of them were just knocked out altogether. She saw that the light-gray male Pegasus was getting up out of a daze. Twilight moved towards where Silver Heart and the light-blue Pegasus lay unconscious. "How is he? Is he still breathing?..." Twilight asked Silver. Silver made a motion that he was still alive, but is unconscious from the hit. Looking around at the ponies, she saw familiar faces that she knew personally while others she just seemed to have known through walk-bys.

 

"If anyony can't heal him, I need to know now or I'll have to take him to the hospital." He said. There were many unicorns here. There must be somepony who can helped him now.

Twilight looked to her right to saw an Earth Pony with a fedora and a black trenchcoat speak up to the others around her. Everypony was now converging on her, Silver, and the light-blue Pegasus who lies unconscious on the ground. Twilight recognized this pony as Carrick Murphy, a detective from Manesdale now residing in Ponyville. She first met this pony when there was a missing chocolate pound cake at Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie Pie still works at, which didn't really surprise Twilight since Pinkie always loves anything sweet. She looked around to the others where she saw one of the new Weather Patrol Pegasi named Klopp Thunderhead, another Pegasus she recognized as Ali Finish, one of the fastest young fliers in Equestria although she is not sure if she is faster than Rainbow Dash, a red unicorn whom she recognized as Fire Opal who lives on the outskirts of Ponyville, the light-gray Pegasus who just got up out of his daze, and a tan unicorn who looked familiar to Twilight, but didn't get her name and was unharmed for the most part. Twilight looked back to the unconscious light-blue Pegasus. "This pony seems all right at the moment, but he is going to need a hospital visit." Twilight told Silver.

 

"If he needs to be taken to the hospital it would be quickest to fly him out of here. I may not be as fast as Ali there, but I am stronger and the added weight won't slow me down. Twilight looked to see that Klopp was ready to pick up the light-blue Pegasus in an attempt to fly him to the hospital. "That's not really necessary, Klopp. I can just teleport us all to the hospital, no problem." Twilight told the eager Pegasus. Twilight was about to tell everypony to get in close until another unicorn rushed up to her.

 

"Twilight, thank Celestia you got here when you did. I have no idea what happened to anypony else, or even myself for that matter. Twilight asked in a surprised tone. "That sure is strange. At the very least, everypony here is all right for the most part." Twilight said to Ice Storm while motioning towards everypony around her.

Twilight looked on as she spoke about continuing to look through the Everfree and she shook her head in disagreement. Even though Twilight saw how these nine ponies worked together, they were still in no condition to roam through the Everfree forest. "You nine are lucky to be standing right now, given everything that has happened. Don't worry, I'll try talking to Zecora to see what exactly is going on here. Everypony here is going to make a hospital visit to get their injuries treated. Now, everypony come in close so I can get us there." Twilight said to Ice Storm before looking towards the other eight ponies. Twilight lit up her horn brightly before she and the other nine ponies disappeared in the blink of an eye. Out in a bush, a pair of eyes was looking at Twilight and the group of ponies before they disappeared. The eyes were of a pale sickly green and didn't look too friendly. The eyes disappeared after the group disappeared a few seconds later.

 

The Ponyville General Hospital was a strong outstanding facility filled with bright doctors and nurses who knew how to treat ponies with precision. It stood just outside of Ponyville, but not too far as to respond quickly to an emergency should it arise. It stood about three stories tall and had different wings for various ailments. Twilight and the group of nine ponies materialized out of thin air. Twilight turned off the light coming from her horn feeling slightly exhausted from concentrating to teleport herself and nine ponies to a specific destination. She looked up at Ponyville General with relief and looked towards Silver Heart. "Okay, we're here now. Silver, could you inform the ER about this Pegasus quickly? The sooner, the better." Twilight said to the silver unicorn to her right. Twilight looked towards the group of ponies behind her. "Okay, I'll work on getting everypony here checked in. I'm going to need everypony to come with me so we can give the front desk your names. Does anypony know who this light-blue Pegasus is?" Twilight said to the group before motioning towards the unconscious Pegasus next to Klopp.

 

Twilight had seen the rest of the group of ponies before, but she has never seen this light-blue Pegasus before in her life. Upon closer inspection, Twilight noticed his Cutie Mark which was in the image of a red shield with a white star in the center, but she noticed something was off about it. The Cutie Mark appeared to be faded slightly in comparison to the Mark on her flank and the others around her. She had never seen something like it and she made a mental note to find out why his Cutie Mark is like that. "Maybe Princess Celestia knows the answer." Twilight thought to herself.

Fire Opal lay on the ground as the fight around them went on. They would need a miracle to win now! The Minotaur were so close to winning, with so many ponies on the ground. Of course, who doesn't believe in miracles?

 

Twilight Sparkle, the famous research pony originally from Canterlot who now spent her time studying friendship, came charging into the clearing, and he knew she was analyzing the situation in her eyes. He felt a magical aura fill the space around him, and whatever she was doing seemed to be working. The Minotaur were backing off, until the leading Minotaur shouted to his mates that they weren't worth it. They were quickly gone, and a conversation began between Twilight and another, silver pony. They seemed to be discussing that they should go to the hospital, but he couldn't help thinking that they would not get there in the condition they were in.

 

Well, thinking that was absolutely useless. Suddenly, the familiar magical feeling came over him again, and he had a feeling he knew what was coming. He suddenly disappeared into a void of black, but soon enough, he appeared in a building that he knew was the hospital. He fell a small distance to the ground and he heard and felt a loud thump before he heard the same thing happen around him to the other ponies. He stood up, a little wavy but otherwise fine. All he needed was a small bed where he could sleep...he plumped to the ground, not quite asleep, but he could feel himself drifting off...

As soon as Twilight had turned around Silver Heart ran into the hospital. Next to the Welcome Desk was Nurse Red Heart. "Someoony was attacked by a Minotaur. He was knocked unconscious during the fight. It's been at least ten minutes since he was last conscious. I didn't get a very good look at any other injuries. There are also a few other ponies with injuries but his are the most severe. I'll try to check on everyponies injuries."

As the hospital staff prepared the E.R. Silver ran back outside. She waited until no pony was talking. "Could any pony tell me if they are injured and if so where?" she asked to every pony present.

I guess that's excepted it is Twilight Sparkle. Carrick thought to himself as she assess the situation. She already decide that we all needed to go to the hospital. Carrick didn't think it was necessary for himself. Though his hooves were rather sore. A pack of ice and a bandage for his cut on his forehead would be just enough for him to go on his merrily way. All of this seemed a bit trivial to him.

 

However, he was already teleported by the power of purple unicorn. The nurses all walked around as the various patients needed the help to get themselves better. She wanted all of us to sign in, What a nuisance. Seems like I'm stuck doing such a thing, well...I guess we'll stick together. She asked about the blue peagsus, Carrick finally spoke up, "That is Alex Night," Carrick remembered as he was our unofficial leader.

Twilight was brought out of her curiousity as Carrick mentioned that the light-blue Pegasus' name is Alex Night. She saw that Silver Heart came back to ask about the injuries of the other ponies. Twilight looked them over a bit before answering back to Silver Heart. "Carrick here has a bit of blood streaming from his forehead underneath the fedora. I've also seen that the red unicorn looks worn out so he might need some bed rest and a once-over, the young grayish Pegasus colt has a nasty bump on his head, Ice Storm here has got some bad cuts on her front, and it looks like the others have some minor injuries." Twilight said to Silver Heart. She turned to the group around her. "Alright, everypony. Let's get you all checked in. Klopp, can you help me with bringing him into the ER, please?" Twilight looked to the white Pegasus, seeing as he was one of the least injured of the group that can work a bit. Twilight looked back to Carrick. "Detective Murphy, could I get the story on what happened in the Everfree Forest after you get seen?" Twilight asked the detective.

After being hit by the Minotaur, Ali flew up, out of it's range, in order to survey the battlefield. As she looked around, she noticed fighting going on all around her. Noticing Twilight Sparkle had joined the battle, she quickly regained her composure. As a magical aura filled the air, the Minotaur backed away, and started to retreat to the forest, shouting out "Get back boys, they ain't worth it."

 

For some reason, the former statement angered Ali. Without thinking about reason, she flew straight towards the Minotaur closest to her. She extended her leg back, preparing to just knock him off balance, when a purple flash of light surrounded her.

 

The next thing Ali saw was the side of a building, as her would-be eye-kick continued to travel, it's inertia carrying forwards, straight into the wall.

 

A sickening crunch sounded from both the wall and Ali's leg as the two connected, causing a searing pain to shoot up her leg, into her back, and straight to her head. She let out a cry of mixed fear and torment, collapsing on the ground, and grasped her leg, constant pain emanating from it.

 

Ali looked up at the building she had kicked, tears starting to cloud her already fuzzy vision, to see she was right next to the Hospital. "Well that's Ironic." She thought, before calling out for help from the first pony she saw, Alex.

Silver Heart wrote down the injuries onto a clipboard she listened to Twilight. She repeated the list back to Twilight to make sure she wrote everyponies down. Twilight nodded an affirmative.

"Alright thank you. I'll let the other staff members know."

Silver Heart left the others to go report to Nurse Red Heart and to make sure the ER was ready for the blue pegasus.

Ice didn't even have a chance to nod before she found herself standing in front of the hospital, and the ponies looked both at her and the blue pegasus that had come in that were unconscious immediately. "Oh sweet Celestia, what happened?" one of the nurses asked. She listened as twilight started telling the ponies the basics and lead them inside. Each pony was taken into separate rooms and the nurse came into her room. She was a Unicorn and she was pure white with a medical cross for a cutie mark. "Good heavens Ice, what did you do to get cuts this deep on your chest?"

 

"I was fighting in the Everfree Forest and my Ice armor shattered and raked into me. It didn't feel as bad as this when I was fighting," she said noting the confused and surprised face of the nurse. "And before you ask, because I know it's coming. I have no idea what I was doing out there. I went to bed last night at home, and then I woke up there. I have no idea what's going on," she admitted as the nurse began to apply disinfecting balms which burned even more then when she got the cuts causing her to wince back.

 

"Please try to hold still I know this stuff burns, but if we don't disinfect it before we close it up, you can get deathly sick."

 

"You could try a less painful method of doing so. Seriously that's more painful than when I got the injury to begin with!" she said a bit agitated. She wasn't angry at the nurse, after all, she was just doing her job. What was agitating her was the fact that she had no idea what was going on, and was now slightly worried that whatever had drug her to the forest would do so again tonight. I'll have to see if maybe I can stay with Twilight tonight. If they were able to get into my house and know where I live. I'm not safe there... she thought to herself as the nurse lit a quick flash of light and the cuts were gone.

 

"There you go Ice. Good as new!" the nurse said escorting her back out into the waiting room.

 

Once Ice was back in the waiting room she spotted Twilight but she was busy speaking with one of the others that were in the area with her so she decided not to interrupt and would wait until she's done. While she was honestly concerned with her own safety at the moment, it wasn't really something that need to be rushed and addressed. After all she had a good portion of the morning left. As long as she asked by mid afternoon she figured she'd be okay.

Soon after Klopp's suggestion to quickly fly the blue pegasus to the hospital, Twilight had already taken charge and teleported the entire group straight there. Was a very strange experience for him, as the suddenly felt weightless for a moment, he became a bit lightheaded and then suddenly he was at the hospital, falling a few inches onto the floor, stumbling a bit. He looked around to see all the injured ponies here, and it seemed the doctors were going to have their hands full with all these injuries.

 

"Alright, everypony. Let's get you all checked in. Klopp, can you help me with bringing him into the ER, please?"

"Wha... Oh, sure, no problem Twi! Anything to help an injured pony."

 

Klopp took his Fedora off for a moment, resting it on the floor, and then got his head under the injured pony's stomach, lifting his head to force him up onto his back. He just lay there motionless slumped across Klopp's back, and the ivory pegasus used his wings to steady him in order to keep the unconscious pegasus from falling off. Then nabbed his hat back and placed it upon his head where it belonged.

 

"Alrighty then, let's get going!" Klopp then began walking towards the ER with the injured pony on his back.

Carrick's ears twitched when he heard the sound of a cry. Though it was a hospital and it was something you do hear every now and than. The sound was particular was it was one of Ali Finish. As she winced herself in pain. From the look of what happened she must of damaged her foot. Carrick saw a small mark on the wall from her kick, It must of been a kick to the wall? Brain must of not except such a impact which might of lead to this. Carrick turned to Twilight Sparkle and Sliver Heart. From the teleportation, the question is...why was she kicking? Did she tried to hit a minotaur? The detective decide to ask her later, there were more important matters to take care of. "It looks like you miss a pony over here. Ali Finish, she must of hurt her foot pretty bad. Doctor might want to check that out." Carrick said to Silver Heart and Twilight Sparkle.

 

The detective went to Ali. Who called for Alex, "Sorry, you're stuck with me for now. Let me get you on a bed so you can get checked out." Carrick was careful to grab her and carry her on his back. He didn't want to agitate the leg even more. Carrick went over to Twilight Sparkle once more, "I'll give you a verbal report on what happened, Twilight Sparkle." Carrick tipped his hat and went with one of the nurses to an empty bed for Ali Finish.

 

The earth pony was careful to put her down as well on the bed. With the help of the nurse, he was able to get her inside this room. Carrick looked at the room. The white walls and the window that showed the peaceful day outside. The bed that seem pretty comfortable for anypony to relax on while they heal. The smell was something to get used to. Chemicals were infused in the air and Carrick's nostrils questioned each and every one of them. Still, it wasn't that bad and would take some time to adjust. Carrick tipped is hat off to Ali, "Well, as much as I would like to ask some question about why you did what you did. I have some business to attend to with a nurse. Feel better now." Carrick said as he walked out of the room...

Ali watched as the pony she had called out to walked over to her. However, as he came closer, Ali saw that it wasn't Alex, it was Carrick. Because her vision was so fuzzy, she must have gotten the two mixed up, or called out the wrong name from pain. It didn't seem to bother Carrick, however, whom bent down, and picked her up.

 

A spike of pain erupted from her leg as she was lifted, causing her to wince, and accidentally dig her foreleg into Carrick's shoulder. He soon set her down on a nearby bed, however, with a nurse directly behind him. Carrick said something about a questioning, before starting to walk out of the room, but Ali couldn't half hear him at the time. "Carrick!" She called out. "Thank you."

 

The nurse almost immediately began to work, grabbing the miniature X-Ray in the room, while her magic pulled a heavy apron from the closet. She put the apron over Ali, leaving the wounded leg visible, and placed the machine over the leg. Ali could only feel the heaviness of the thing resting on top of her, feeling like it would slowly push down more and more, pinching her lungs, and suffocate her. When she voiced these opinions, the nurse discarded what she said, implying that the "Iron Curtain", as she called it, would be off in a minute.

 

After the nurse was done with the machine, she began to push it back into it's corner, her magic picking up the curtain, and putting it neatly back in it's spot in the closet. She turned to Ali, saying "I've got good news, and bad news. I'll start with the bad first, okay? The bad news is that you've fractured your femur. The good news is that it'll only take a month to heal." The nurse then began to pull out three things from the closet: a cotton gauze, a colorful gauze, and some kind of liquid.

 

"A couple of weeks, huh?" Ali said, thinking it over. "Will I be able to walk on it at all?" She asked, watching the Nurse as she brought the three items to the bed.

 

"Well," the nurse began, "not for the first week or so, no. It's only a hairline fracture, so after that first week, it'll have healed enough so that you can slightly limp on it. Until then, you'll need to not put any pressure on it. Luckily for you, you've got wings, so that'll help you out. You'll need to come back and see me every week or so, though. I'll need to check on it professionally to make sure it's healing." She began to wrap the cotton gauze all around Ali's leg, doubling up the wrapping, and pulling it tight. She cut the gauze, and held it in place with tape, pulling out the colorful one next.

 

Ali watched the nurse work as she thought everything over. "Miss, what's this gauze stuff for?" She asked, still watching the nurse.

 

"This is what we call a cast. It'll help keep your leg from moving while the bone is healing." The nurse replied, still wrapping the colored gauze over the cotton gauze before it. When she had covered Ali's leg, she picked up the spray bottle, filled with the liquid. "You might like this." She said, to Ali, before beginning to spray the gauze thoroughly.

 

Ali watched as the liquid hit the gauze, causing it to begin to harden, forming a perfect fit with her leg. Her eyes widened at the process, and she looked up at the nurse, who nodded in return. When the cast was done hardening, the nurse helped Ali up, and to the door. "Remember," she said, "Don't put any weight on it."

 

The nurse went back into the room, presumably to clean up, and Ali began to half-walk, half-fly down the hallway, towards where Twilight Sparkle, Carrick, and an unknown pony were standing.

Fire Opal began to hear sounds around him, which probably meant he was finally waking up. He didn't know if he was asleep for a few days, or maybe even just a few minutes. His eyes eventually opened and he took the opportunity to take in his surroundings.

 

As far as he saw, he had probably been asleep for an hour, with a few ponies still in their unconscious state. He seemed to have gotten lucky, as his pain was still pretty naturally, because it was caused by him overusing his magic abilities.

 

He found himself in a hospital bed, nothing on him, no drugs in his bloodstream, which calmed him a bit, but not enough at the moment. He did feel a little guilty, as he thought that the others with more wounds should have gotten treatment first, but he was happy either way. Taking notice of the dryness in his throat, he asked quietly, "Could somepony bring me some water?"

Twilight jumped a bit at the sound of a thud and a scream from a pegasus that she saw was Ali Finish. "Oh Celestia, Ali. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry!" Twilight said in quick repetition as she started towards the now injured Pegasus, but quickly saw that it wasn't necessary as Carrick already picked her up to get her treated by the nurse. "Thanks, Carrick. Why don't you get yourself seen first and I'll get with you in a bit about what happened? For now, I have to see to the Pegasus, Alex." Twilight said to Carrick as he walked off to the hospital ward. Twilight walked back with Klopp who just placed Alex on the hospital bed next to Fire Opal. Twilight saw that the whole group was in the same ward, which helped make it easier for her to track how they are doing. Already, she could see that some of them have already been treated. Ali Finish, who just ran into the wall of the hospital, had a cast on her hoof, but was otherwise okay for the most part. Ali was looking over the others in the room as she stood past the doorway inside the hospital ward. She saw that the red unicorn was in a hospital bed next to Alex and he was awake asking for some water, which a nurse responded promptly by placing a glass of water with a straw next to Fire Opal. Ice Storm was just outside the doorway leading out to the hall and the waiting room.

 

Twilight looked back at Alex and used her magic to tuck him in with the sheets. A nurse with a red cross symbol on her flank had already finished wrapping his forehead with some bandages after checking for it for infection and left a note next to his bedside before heading off to attend to the other ponies. Twilight was still confused as to how everypony here got involved in something so dangerous as the Everfree. She used her magic to levitate the note to her and took a quick look at it. The note read, "I'm sorry for having you all in this mess, especially Alex. At least, I brought you your hat back, Klopp. Sincerely, Artsy." Twilight read aloud to herself. Twilight turned her attention back to Klopp. "Thank you for taking him, Klopp. Rainbow Dash was wondering where you went since you didn't show up earlier this morning for Cloud Detail." Twilight said to Klopp. She turned towards the group she met and addressed to them. "Okay, now that we have a moment..." Twilight began to say until...

 

"Hi Twilight! Whatcha doing here, huh? Huh, huh, huh?" Twilight jumped in surprise as a familiar pony came bursting in from the open window behind her unexpectedly. "Ugh, Pinkie. You are so random! How did you know I was here?" Twilight asked Pinkie a little annoyingly. "Oh, I saw you pop in out of nowhere as I was walking by the hospital to visit Fluttershy and then, I saw you bringing other ponies around you inside the hospital. Then, I decided to pop in and say hi to everypony with-" Pinkie said very quickly without stopping until her eyes laid on Alex, cutting off her train of thought. She gasped very loudly at the sight of him. "Who IS this pony? I've never seen him before and I know EVERYPONY in Ponyville because everypony here is my friend!" Pinkie continued again very quickly before gasping again. "You know what this calls for? A GET WELL/WELCOME PAR-TAY!!" She exclaimed before zooming out of the window, moving at a seemingly impossible speed for an Earth Pony. Twilight couldn't get a word in before she left and sighed heavily. "That's Pinkie Pie for you" Twilight thought to herself. "Anyways, back to what I was trying to say." Twilight said as she looked to the group around her.

"Would somepony explain to me what happened in the forest earlier that left you all like this?" Twilight asked quickly as to not to have any more interruptions occur to prevent her from asking.

"Well, Twilight," Ali began, easing over towards the group a bit, keeping her casted hoof off the ground. "I saw an ominous shadowed figure with yellow eyes standing just inside the Everfree, watching me during my last race. It didn't give me a very good feeling, so after I finished, I flew over to where it was, but it was gone."

 

Ali shifted slightly during her telling of the story, leaning slightly against a table, before continuing. "Then I just started flying over the forest, looking for it, because I wanted to know what it was, and if I posed a major threat to Ponyville. I heard the scream of a pony, so I bolted below the trees, and I joined in on the already growing group we were in. Then a couple things happened, and a couple minutes later, we were all fighting Minotaurs. I think you know what happened next, Twi."

 

After Ali finished, she looked up at Twilight, expecting to see a look of concern at her mention of a shadowy, ominous, yellow-eyed creature. "Maybe she knows what it is, having so many books to read in her library?" Ali thought to herself, pondering what would happen next.

Carrick gave a tip of the hat to Ali as she thanked him. Another nurse came along with him, Carrick gripped his shoulder for a second as a quick sting came when he put his hoof down. He must of not noticed that she dug her forehoof into him. More pain to worry about. Carrick walked with the nurse and took him to another room.

 

The detective was than told to take off his hat and show her his laceration. The cut was a curved line with blood starting to harden. There was still enough time to clean it off before it became a scab. There blood was around the center of the cut that stained his fur, but Carrick didn't seem to care. The detective took out his notepad and started to write down notes. Notes of what had happened when he went into the forest. What happened in the fight between himself and the minotaur. The information of each ponies that was there. All of it embed in his min and now in the notepad for future reference. The nurse had already put on some balm to disinfect the cut. Carrick ignored the feeling of burning and continued his notes. His attention just on those notes. The nurse pony started to get the bandage as she wrapped them around the earth pony. The silence just a bit awkward as all you could hear was pencil touching paper.

 

She finally got tired of the silence and asked, "How did you get this cut? It's a bit deep."

 

Carrick looked at the nurse for a second than back at his notes as he continued to write down some more, "I was in a battle of strength by a minotaur. Since I didn't have the strength to beat him in such a way, I cheated and headbutted him. Giving me the laceration." His monotone voice appear once again, it gave off a cold tone to the nurse and she felt a little angry at it. She tighten the bandages around his forehead and said, "All done, you can go now. Try not to hurt yourself more."

 

Carrick nodded as he place his notepad back in his coat. The earth pony went and grabbed his fedora hat and place it under his bandages. Carrick took a few steps as he felt the strain on his shoulder and hooves. Before the nurse could say anything, Carrick replied "That isn't possible. I'm a detective." Carrick said as he tipped his hat and walked back to Twilight.

 

For the breif moment he went to get Twilight, he saw Ali Finish, with a cast on one of her legs going over to him and Twilight. Carrick gave a simple nod. Carrick continued to write down some notes. As he heard Twilight wanted to be debriefed from the other ponies. Carrick was interested as well to heard what they seen and hear. He would tell the report later to Twilight. It will be a long one.

Carrick listen to the testimony of Ali Finish. A shadow figure with yellow eyes? What did she see? Maybe it was her imagination? Physical exhaustion could lead to something like that. Regardless, I'll take a note of that. Carrick wrote it down and than realized the question he wanted to ask her. "What about your leg, Ali?" "What were you doing before we got teleported." He asked Ali.

Everything was so dark around him. The ground was moist and the air that he breathed in was feeling quite stagnant. Alex opened his eyes and found himself somewhere dark and cold. "What? How did I get here? I remember being at the forest..." Alex said to himself. Alex got up and looked all around him. The darkness felt so heavy on him. It was so dark that he couldn't even see his own hooves in front of him. "What is this place?" Alex asked himself. "A place that is cold and dark. Suitable for a pony like you, Alex." Alex heard a voice call out to him. "Huh? Who's there?" Alex gets himself into a fighting stance as he looks around to find the source of the voice. Off in the distance, he sees a pair of yellow eyes staring back at him. "Who are you?" Alex asked to the voice. The yellow eyes narrowed its eyes back at him. "You'll know soon enough, Alex Night." Suddenly, the darkness seemed to close in on Alex.

 

Twilight looked as Ali and Carrick gave their inputs. She was especially interested about the yellow eyes Ali mentioned. Unfortunately, Twilight couldn't give an accurate answer since there could be many creatures in Equestria with yellow eyes. "I don't know, Ali. I've never heard of something like that before." Twilight said around the group of ponies. Twilight looked all around them before resting her eyes on Alex Night. "First, there is this group of ponies who were trapped in the Everfree Forest fighting Minotaurs, this Pegasus' Cutie Mark is slightly faded, and now there is these unknown yellow eyes... I definitely need to mention this to Princess Celestia as soon as possible." Twilight thought to herself. She saw the blue Pegasus make a noise and realizes that he regaining consciousness. "Oh my gosh, he is waking up! Silver Heart, come quick! Anypony, please!" Twilight exclaimed as she called out for help across the ward.
