Ice continued to listen while Twilight continued checking up on the other ponies that had been in the forest. It was really quite something. Every single one of them had been drawn to the forest today for some reason or another, Ice, herself literally drawn there for reasons she has no idea of or at least at the moment any way of finding out. Something them wanted them in that forest, and she knew that some how, they would end up there again tomorrow. It was only a matter of time.

 

As Twilight was talking to some of the others though Pinkie randomly jumped in and started being pinkie, immediately causing Ice to facehoof. She couldn't really fault Pinkie for her actions, cause it wasn't like she knew what was going on. In fact, Ice would be a lot more surprised if she did know something. Instead she just talked about usual antics and parties and the like and then rushed off. Seeing that there was a bit of a pause now, Ice started to get closer so that she could try to answer Twilight's question from earlier, once she remembered what it was, and to ask her about possibly staying with her tonight since she no longer felt safe at her shop. When she got close enough, she heard Twilight ask what happened to cause everypony to get in the condition they were in. "Simple enough, we were trying to find a hat, and get out of the forest when we ran into a group of minotaurs that thought it would be fun to play kickball with us," she said with a bit of sarcasm. "Honestly, if you hadn't shown up when you had, I don't know what would have happened. My ice armor was destroyed and I didn't have the energy to repair it and continue fighting. It was also a lot sharper than I remember it being..." she trailed off.

 

"Other than that though, like I said earlier, I actually have no idea how or why I got out to the forest to begin with. All I felt was a knock on the head last night in my shop, and then when I woke up in the forest. I don't know how or why, but thankfully, it didn't feel like anything else was done to me after I woke up. Which still has me questioning what was going on..." she said trailing off again. "That being said, Twilight, I have a very big, and personally important favor to ask of you. Is it okay that I stay with you for a few nights at the Library, I don't really feel safe at my shop right now, considering that whomever put me into the forest has already broken into it once to do so. I'm almost certain that whoever it was will do so again," she asked, hoping Twilight would allow her shelter there if only for a few nights.

Silver Heart listened on as the other ponies talked to Twilight. The pair of yellow eyes that the other ponies had seen scared her. I wonder if there is a connection between the...filly...I saw and those eyes? Maybe I should tell Twilight about her. Just as she was about to speak Twilight noticed that the unconscious pony was waking up. Silver Heart hurried over to Alex Nights bed,

Tune Strings suddenly burst through the door where Alex Night was. Suddenly, everypony was staring at Tune, then she realized she interrupted a dramatic moment, "Did I interrupt your ritual? Sorry about that", Tune said; but then she headed over to where Alex was waking up, "Hey, anypony know what happened to those ponies?" Tune called out. "Where were they risking their lives? I'm sure they must be crazy or something......", Tune also said. "But anyway, why don't you introduce you all to me and maybe I might help you doing whatever the heck you are doing......", Tune added in along with a *squee* grin on her face.

[Iron Wing 237]

It was only three weeks ago that Iron Wing had been transfered to her watchtower. It was near Ponyville, a little town she already heard about. The bearers of the elements of harmony lived there too. She hadn´t met even one of them until now, but that didn´t matter. She was too busy within this weeks with renovating the watchtower, getting supplies and tools to get everything ready for her new job. She had orders to patrol and scout the surroundings of Ponyville and that was no problem at all. After all, she was too young to be stationed at a borderline watchtower, so her commanding pony gave her an own watchtower within the homeland. Armored as always she flew her main patrol route over the forests and the town. Her little sister Dazzling Wing wanted to come with her as she left home, but Iron was against it. Of course she was sad to left her behind, but she was sure that Dazzling was better off at home with their parents for now.

 

Her patrol included to talk to some of the ponies who lived within the towns, so her route led her to the hospital after a while. She entered and looked around. But instead finding a calm place she noticed it was rather crowded. Everpony seemed to be confused, talking to each other about the forest. Did they get those injuries within the forest? Somepony mentioned minotaurs as the cause but Iron Wing wanted to hear facts. She wandered through the hospital, looking for a source of information what was going on. Her heavy hoofsteps of course were heared within the hallway with a metallic echo. She just passed the room where Ice Storm was talking to Twilight and stopped to listen to her story. "Hmm... if something is fishy within the forest, i´ll find out what it is..." she said without thinking that she was heared. She looked at the two ponies. "Oh, excuse me, i didn´t want to interupt..."

Alex could only see a bright light and heard a constant beat from his right.  Little by little, his vision was regaining and soon enough, he looked to his left and saw a silver unicorn with a blue mane standing over Alex with a look of concern.  "Wha?...  Where am I?"  Alex asked aloud.

 

"You're inside Ponyville General Hospital.  You took a blow to the head and were knocked unconscious for a while."  Alex looked to his right and saw a purple unicorn that also looked towards Alex with concern.  Alex slowly got up.  "Ughhh, how long was I out?"  Alex asked the purple unicorn.

 

She looked at the two ponies. "Oh, excuse me, i didn´t want to interupt..."

 

@@Iron Wing, Twilight looked toward the iron clad Pegasus.  "Oh no, you're not interrupting anything.  I was just trying to get the full story from these ponies.  Now that our mysterious Pegasus is awake, we can get the whole story."  Twilight said to the iron clad Pegasus before looking over at Alex expectantly.

Alex and Twilight looked towards Ice Storm as she spoke.  Alex looked around and saw Carrick Murphy, the fire unicorn, Ali Finish with apparently an injured foot, and two new ponies that he didn't remember seeing from the forest.  However, Alex didn't see the tan unicorn, ivory Pegasus, and the smaller Pegasus with a sort of writing Cutie Mark.  "Wait, there were three others with me.  Where..."  Alex said alarmed as he got up and felt a headache.

 

"Don't worry, Alex.  They'll be okay or, at least TWO of them will be okay.  A small Pegasus is resting up in another ward and won't be checking out for awhile.  Klopp went back to his duties as a Weather Patrol, and the tan unicorn who called herself Artsy had left the hospital already.  She didn't say where she was going, but she says that she is sorry for having everypony here hurt.  She especially seemed sorry for you, Alex."  Twilight explained to him.

 

Alex felt slightly relieved that everypony has got out safely.  He knew what the tan unicorn meant by her being sorry for him since he got hurt from saving her by wrestling a charging Minotaur out of its path on her.

@,  Alex and Twilight looked towards this new pony as she just burst in unannounced.  At this point, Nurse Redheart, an ivory unicorn with a Red Cross Cutie Mark came in with a stern look on her face.  "Excuse me, but would you ALL keep it down here?  We have patients trying to recover and the noise is not helping!"  Nurse Redheart said in a harsh whisper to the group.

 

"We're sorry, Nurse Redheart.  We'll keep it down."  Twilight said to the nurse as she walked out of the ward in exasperation.  Twilight looked back at Ice Storm.  "Hmmm?  You need to stay at my library tonight?  Sure, I suppose that's alright."  Twilight said to her before focusing his attention to Alex.  "I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself to you.  My name is Twilight Sparkle.  Could you tell me what happened at the forest from your point of view."  Twilight asked the light blue Pegasus.  

 

Alex positioned himself against the backboard and gave her everything he knew from when he entered the forest to when he got knocked out.  "That's all I know."  Alex said finally to the group.

 

Twilight pondered thoughtfully.  "Hmmmm, that definitely does seem strange...  If it's not too much trouble, would you mind staying at the library with me and Ice Storm, Alex?  There is something I want to discuss with you in private."  Twilight said to him informatively before focusing her attention on Silver Heart.  "Silver Heart, how long until he is cleared from the hospital?"  Twilight asked her, awaiting her response.

"Okay, so your name is Twilight Sparkle, cool name. seriously." String Strung said to Twilight. "So is anypony going to tell me how you got all injured?" she asked them. "I promise I'll be more quiet..."

[Ice Storm 1,020]

Ice let out a rather large sigh of relief when Twilight mentioned that she supposed that it would be okay if she stayed at the library for a few days until everything blew over. It was a sad fact that Ice had become well, nearly paranoid of her shop. She literalle felt like somepony was out to get her now and wouldn't stop at nothing until they succeeded. Oh no... what happens if they see me going with Twilight and the ponynap us both? Ice shook her head of the thought. What she didn't need to do right now was worry herself even more and make herself even more antsy. She also heard Twilight mention to Alex that she'd like him to come stay with the two of them as well, that she had some things that she wanted to talk to him about in private.

 

The statement sparked some curiosity from Ice but it was ultimately none of her business, and the fact that Twilight was letting her stay there was a blessing. She raced over and grabbed Twilight in a short thank you hug. "Thank you Twilight, I know it was a rather sudden thing to ask but... Well, I'm scared that the next time something like that happens, I won't be lucky enough to come home next time...," she admitted.

 

Then from her left she heard another pony ask abut how everypony got hurt to begin with. Ice almost immediately wanted to facehoof, but she held it back. Did she not just hear the entire conversation leading up to this? she thought silently to herself. With a soft sigh she let out, "Minotaurs in the Everfree Forest. That's how everypony got hurt. How everypony got they we don't know, but what happened there well, is why we are now here," she stated turning back to Twilight. "So, when are we heading back, and how bad were the injuries on everypony else? I didn't really get a good look at everypony before they took us in," she stated hoping that nopony had seriously gotten hurt. Granted getting knocked unconscious was pretty serious, but she hoped that was the extent of the damage.

 

After her comment though she saw the pony in the armor approach where they were and say that if there was something fishy in the forest that she would find out what it was. "As much as I want to get to the bottom of what's in the forest that was drawing us all there, I don't think too many of us are in any condition to immediately go back into the forest. I think we should at least wait a day or two for those who have taken heavier damage to recover and then see what we have to work with. At the very least if you're willing to wait until tomorrow, I'd be more than happy to accompany you. That being said... I have an aching suspicion I'm being followed myself so.... I don't really know what to do at the moment. Ugh, I'm afraid to even walk through Ponyville now," she said with a huff.

Fire Opal eyes snapped open, and clarity filled his mind, though of what he didn't know. He felt better, and immediately wanted to get up to date, but he felt like he knew that there was nothing to find out. He surveyed the room, and took another sip from the cup of water next to his bed. His lips were completely dry, and he had no intentions of keep it that way.

 

He noticed that the pony who had helped him and even possibly saved him in the room. She seemed a bit busy, but what she said resembled how he felt. Unsafe. Suspicious. He didn't want to go through Ponyville, as whatever force had drawn them all into the force might even be there.

 

He left his bed and stretched his hooves. "While we're all in the hospital, we might as well get some things straight. How did those Minotaur even know where we were, and why were we all in the same place in the first place? Not like we know any of this anyway," he finished, mumbling the last sentence.

Iron Wing listened to the ice blue unicorn as she explained that she wanted to wait for tomorrow before investigate the forest. It seemed the best decision considering that someponies here had taken more than just a beating. Also the unicorn said that she wanted to go with Iron to investigate the forrest. "Hmm... fine, i´ll wait until tomorrow. I´m at the southern watchtower of ponyville, so you may tell me if you are ready to go." Iron answered to the unicorn. "If you are afraid to walk through Ponyville, i can escort you if you want. I am happy to help anypony who is in need. Protection is my job after all..." She said to the icy unicorn. Of course Iron Wing heard the story what happened, but she couldn´t imagine how something like that was even possible. A mysterious power had drawn them into the forest? She wasn´t an expert with magic but she would do anything possible to do her duty.

"Ugh, never again." Purplepower said to herself. "Well, not for a while." She was a bit of a daredevil sometimes, and it usually ended up getting her hurt. This time it involved wheels, a ramp, and her flying into a brick wall because of momentum. She had gotten a bit of a bump on her head, but by now she was getting used to things like that. I've got to stop doing that kind of stuff. She walked past another room, where there seemed to be quite a few ponies, and she heard the words 'Everfree' and 'Minotaur'. Leave it alone, it's none of you buisness. But- NO. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she peeked through the door. She saw that almost all of the ponies in the room had some sort of injury. "What happened to you guys?" She said, in a curious tone. You said something. You're screwed now. She was embarrassed at asking the question now and she figured that the ponies could tell.

Alex looked around the new group of ponies that have appeared along with the ones he had met in the Everfree Forest.  Alex looked to see a very young pony, a mare clad in heavy armor, and now a purple Pegasus pony had joined the group inside the room.  "Just everypony, calm down and listen.  Me and these ponies here met up on coincidence in the Everfree Forest and we got attacked by Minotaurs until Twilight came in to get us out."  Alex explained to the new ponies.  Twlight shook her head.  "Okay, everypony here is getting too excited.  You need to calm down before Nurse Redheart kicks us out for the sake of the other patients."  Twilight said to the ponies before focusing her attention to Alex and Ice Storm.  "Alex and Ice Storm, I'll see if I can clear the two of you early so you can come and stay with me tonight."  Twilight said informatively to the two before proceeding out of the library.

 

Alex inwardly groaned.  "Sheesh, all I was doing was just traveling away from everypony and now it looks like I'm grounded to this town."  Alex thought to himself before looking towards the others.  "So, how is everypony here?  Are you all going to be okay?"  Alex asked sincerely to the injured group.

[Ice Storm 1,020]

Ice Storm nodded at the blue, armored pegasus that had stated that if she needed somepony to walk with her that she would be more than happy to. That after all, protection was her job, and that once she was ready to go with her, that she would be waiting by the southern watch tower. Of course, she'd said that prior to commenting on the traveling with her part so she could only presume at this point that the first scenario would be one of those, "if/than" situations that would come up should she decline her assistance here.

 

As soon as she was about to answer though, another pony had approached the group and had asked about what had happened. She facehoofed. Granted it was to be expected, this many ponies being teleported to the Ponyville Hospital was going to entice questions but it didn't change the fact that she was already tired of hearing them, and even more tired of answering them. Listening to somepony else answer the question wasn't all that much better and the nurse had already once threatened to kick them out. Alex, the other blue pegasus that had been knocked out had answered the question while Twilight reminded everypony that they were very much still in the hospital and that they needed to keep it down. She gave a small laugh and a good smile. When she said that she was going to go check on getting them release, Ice spoke up.

 

"Actually Twilight, I've already been released. The only issue I really had were the cuts from my armor, and those have been taken care of. So I'm ready to go whenever everypony else is ready," she told her turning to Iron Wing. "And to answer your question Iron wing, I thing that would be a great idea as well. Can't really ever be to safe about everything these days. That being said though, I think that once we get to Twilight's library we should be fine. Though if you'd like to stand guard, I won't stop you," she added smiling sheepishly at the comment. She then heard Alex ask the others that were injured if they were going to be okay and she decided to add a bit as well. "And does anypony need anything? I'll be happy to do what I can," she smiled waiting for Twilight to get Alex released so that they could head back to the library and figure out what's going on from there.

"Really? You guys fought Minotaurs-" Purplepower stopped, realizing that they had already moved on to another topic. She stood just inside the room, unsure of what to do. "Well, uh, you guys seem busy, I'll just uh, leave I guess...." She said as she began to head for the door. "Oh, by the way, if anypony's looking for somewhere to stay or anything like that I have an extra room at my place...." You just had to do that, didn't you. She thought to herself as she left the room.

Alex looked on at this purple Pegasus who just joined in the conversation.  "Hey, wait a minute.  You don't need to leave if you don't want to.  It's just that we have to be quiet in here."  Alex said to the purple Pegasus before she could completely leave the room that they were in.  He looked at Ice Storm, Fire Opal, and Carrick.  "Guess we were lucky to get out of there, huh?"  Alex asked the three of them.  He looked at Fire Opal in particular.  "How about you?  Will you be okay?"  Alex asked him concerned.

 

Twilight came back inside the room.  "Hey, everypony.  I've checked with Nurse Redheart and she agreed that I could take you to my home in Ponyville for Alex and Ice Storm to rest until they've recovered.  What about everypony else around here?  Do you all have a home to stay at?"  Twilight said to the group around her, awaiting each for their response.

Carrick's mind must drifted off, not seeing eye nor ear of Ali Finish. He did wonder what she meant about those eyes. Maybe the injury was more serve than he thought it was. Seeing that she wasn't anywhere close by. He wasn't a doctor nor a physician. So he wasn't one to be able diagnosis something like a tear or break of a muscle or bone. The detective made a mental note about learning more about the subject. More ponies came onto the scene, asking about what had happened had been answered by the others.

 

However, there were bigger matters at hoof. Questions that need to be answers. The biggest one still stuck inside Carrick's mind. Why was there a group of ponies coming around in a forest where nopony should not be in at anytime of day? What has providence given me? I guess I'll have to find out. Detectives never get to enjoy a bit of a break do they? He gave a "heh," as he turned to Alex.

Asking about the status of everypony, Carrick spoke out. "Well, just a cut on the forehead and some soreness in my forehooves. Nothing too serious. A good night rest should help." Carrick tipped his hat. Than Twilight chimed in, talking if anypony needed a place to stay with another pony interjecting that she had an extra room for anypony to stay. "Well, I've been in a hotel for the past few days, nothing special. However,"

Carrick turned his head to purple pony that had appeared mere minutes ago. Asking what had happened to everypony in here. The detective had an odd feeling about this mare. "If you're offering an extra room. I would probably more comfortable than the hotel. That is, if you're okay with it." Carrick said.

"If you're offering an extra room. I would probably more comfortable than the hotel. That is, if you're okay with it." Carrick said.

Purplepower shrugged. "Ok." She said to the brown stallion. "My name's Purplepower, by the way. How 'bout you guys?"

"And to answer your question Iron wing, I thing that would be a great idea as well. Can't really ever be to safe about everything these days. That being said though, I think that once we get to Twilight's library we should be fine. Though if you'd like to stand guard, I won't stop you,"

 

Iron Wing thought a bit about the words. "Well, of course i can stand guard and escort you to the library. Safety of others is my primary objectiv after all." she answered to the icy unicorn.

 

"Hey, everypony. I've checked with Nurse Redheart and she agreed that I could take you to my home in Ponyville for Alex and Ice Storm to rest until they've recovered. What about everypony else around here? Do you all have a home to stay at?" Twilight said to the group around her, awaiting each for their response.

 

"I live at the southern watchtower. If anypony needs to stay somewhere, i have several guest rooms and you are welcome to stay. Of course the watchtower was designed to have more than just one guardian, but since i am the only one stationed in Ponyville, i have plenty rooms left that are unused." she answered to Twilights questions and stated her invitation to everypony in the room who might have no place to stay. She was waiting for an answer. If Ice wanted her to escort them she would do this of course.

Alex looked towards the Iron Mare as she offered a place to stay for any of the ponies here that didn't have any place to go.  "Well, I guess everypony is set then.."  Alex said towards the group before looking towards the nearby medic, who happened to be a gray coated unicorn mare.  "Thank you for your help..."  Alex said to the medic.  He got up from the bed and moved to Twilight Sparkle.  "So, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"  Alex asked the purple unicorn.

 

Twilight shook her head.  "I can't really discuss it here.  It's something we have to discuss in private in the upstairs section of my library. So, if you and Ice Storm are ready, we should get you out of the hospital."  Twilight stated to him and Ice Storm before walking out of the ward.

 

Alex shrugged.  He looked back to the group around him.  "Well, I hope you all will be okay now that we are out of the forest.  Take care.  Maybe we might see each other again..."  Alex said to the group before walking after Twilight Sparkle.  He assumed that Ice Storm was giving chase with them.  He really wanted to get out of the town and back on the road as soon as possible.  He wasn't much of a pony to stay around.

Ice waited in the lobby of the hospital while she waited for Twilight to come back with her and Alex's release forms. It didn't take her too long and she had everything signed and ready to go. Meanwhile Iron Wing had stated that she would be more than happy to watch the Library, and if anypony else needed a place to stay, that there were several rooms at the watch tower. That it had been designed for a small squadron but that she was the only pony stationed there at the moment. The others continued to talk for a bit and introduce themselves, but all Ice could think about was her shop, and how it had been broken into... even more so, she was embarrassed by the fact that the intruder had seen her at her most inopportune times, as she had been wearing one of her overnight garments to help keep her bed clean and dry last night as she did every night. Thinking about it, she realized that she would have to inform Twilight about her overnight issue.

 

"Hey... Twilight... before we go... can I speak to you in private please? I need to tell you about something since I'm going to be staying with you for a couple nights and... well, I don't feel comfortable talking about it in front of everypony else..." she asked hoping that she wouldn't shun her away once she broke the news to her.
