I agree, I prefer the colour system. Although we could perhaps pick colours that aren't quite as homicidal to our eye sockets as this and this and this. It'd be easier to remember which colour was which than it would be font.

To be honest i think it would be harder to figure out what house your from, if you change the font. If it hurts your eye just underline my post as if you were going to copy, much easier on the eyes.

 

But we do need some type of way to distingush what houses were from, and i think the color system is the best

Usually... When players do that (Myself included), it's out of personal preference, rather than any... specific need to. That shouldn't really be a problem.

1. That will be discussed with my moderators as to be honest apart from the over arching plotline being there is conflict between the factions and each of the Houses and the Cult have secrets. For the end result the ending will be this:

The Good Ending: The factions will be dissolved, the princesses found (wherever they may be or why they left), and the Elements of Harmony will be brought back together again. Peace will slowly return and Equestria will be healed from it’s wounds.

The Bad Ending: The Houses will tear each other apart, the leaders of the Houses and the Cult will be killed or scattered, and Equestria will fall to chaos and bloodshed. Supposed good intentions of the Houses will lead to suffering and pain. The only possible survivors will be members the Cult, ferals, mercenaries, and warbands as well as possibly some of the players OCs.

 

Which of these endings will come about will be up to the players, and on how myself and my moderators handle things.

2. Yes it is possible for the characters to meet the Mane Six, though not exactly true in Pinkie Pie’s case since she is seemingly dead. Also it would not be possible to kill any of the leaders of the factions, at least not at first and especially unlikely for the former wielders of the Elements of Harmony unless the ones playing them are being stupid as they will have plot immunity… it will be up to my moderators or myself to come up with a reason why this is without seeming forced.

 

I would hope no player would be stupid enough to try or their characters are actually stupid or insane enough to try.

As above, but to a lesser extent as even to the leaders of the factions these characters could be considered disposable or myself or my moderators my feel we have a way for them to go out in a memorable way. Your characters could possibly have the chance or means to take the ‘lesser’ case members out.

4. I would ask that no one gets too graphic with their descriptions and detail as while there will be violence this is not Cupcakes or Sweet Apple Massacre. There will also be NO sexual details or activities allowed at all in anything but passing mention. 5. I believe the rough estimate was by the end of the month though they didn’t have an exact date.

On the Six Gifted (or Cursed, mattering how you look at it) that will be kept on the back burner until we get each of them with a bio made for each. The important thing is that the Six Gifted will be antagonists for the players before they face the leaders of the Houses. There will be a side plot involving them

 

More importantly the Guardians of Harmony will be the seventh faction working towards bring the Elements of Harmony back together and the current members of the will be in search of recruits to help them fight against the Houses and the Cult. The seek to discover what happened to the princesses and find out why they left. To bring Equestria back to the glory and harmony it once knew.

 

My dedication to this roleplay is 10, without a doubt, as I wish to see this to the very end.

We have around 15 roleplayers, we need to have some sort of system for us mods or else things might get hard to follow and get out of hand. 1 being that you would drop out as soon as you get slightly bored with the roleplay

10 being that you would stay in the roleplay from start to finish

As far as actual colours used go, I'd suggest...    Moon and Star Whitegold Earthborn Everfree Stormwing Cult Unaffliated Guardians   But that's just me.

 

So who gets black? Only fair that someone should get black, possibly the Guardians (the pink being a bit more difficult to make out than the others).

I was just demonsttating what a header was but yeah, that looks like a good system. I think we should keep the colours as they let us know the character's House at a glance and we can use different colours for character speech.

Try to keep it simple and not use colors which are known to kill people\'s eye if they have bad eyes? HEader with information and character color works, no? I mean, using color for a character is better idea when just faction color IMHO. At least dont turn it into a hassle.

And my dedication is 10, until there will be the case, for example when explained by DM situation has a much simplier solution, compared to intended route, but DM will pull a quick rule out of his back to make you do it all anyway. If General leaves the door to his room open for an assasin, it's Generals fault, not assasins. If that happens and happens a bit too often or the common sense will be completely neglected - i quit. I am not a fun of "Stupidity is the only option" trope. Basically, everything what begins with "I am DM, that doesnt work that way, blazing fire doesnt ignite obviously flamable things in this RP, because i say so" counts.

So we will do it like in descent's example:

House Earthborn - dark orange

House Everfree - dark green

House Stormwing - medium blue

Cult of laughter - red

Guardians of harmony -  (black) automatic

I like that idea. I agree with it. Possibly because it was mine.

 

Should those without a faction have a colour to themselves, as well? There are some ponies that are drifters.

 

Also you spelled Descant wrong.

 

So guys, the format is:

 

House name - OC's location

Where the name of the house is bold, and it's all in your house's assigned colour.

Make it easy for us, and use your OC's name in your RPing, please. There are times where that tends to be forgotten.
