Should I Write: The Great Historical Legend of a Brave Man Named Bob?

<p>hey, this is Dreaming. I'm a new member, and I love to write stories, but what I like even more is knowing that they're actually being read. that's why I made this topic; to see if anyone would actually be interested in reading it.

 

"The Great Historical Legend of a Brave Man Named Bob" is a comedy-based series I made about a year ago, on a different foruming website. it had won me an Author of the Month award, although it wasn't a very large site. it still had some good authors though. I got about 7 "episodes" into the series before the website shut down and I lost all my work.

 

I plan on rewriting it, brony style. the origional story involves a regular kid stumbling upon a secret world within his own, populated mainly by pokemon, or human-pokemon cross-species. the world is under military rule by a strange organization known as the Handiban. replace the pokemon with ponies and the Handiban with Changelings and you've got yourself a fully equestrianized story.

 

it may contain some mild language and pony violence, and some of the jokes are suggestively sexual in nature, though I don't think it's anything alarming or that a young child would even understand. by far the most questionable joke is the main character's last name, although it depends on how you interpret it (I was thinking cat when I came up with it... only later did I realize just how inappropriate it was). I plan on using a different last name, although I don't think it'll be nearly as funny as the origional.

If you love doing something then im sure,

to you it won't be much of a chore.

 

So you should definitely do it i say,

and see how many people you make happay!

I certainly am! I love reading pony-parodies, and a comedy would be even better, So yeah, you should definitely go for writing it. Looking forward to when it's finished, if you decide to write it that is.

Will it be like a fantasy epic as well? Or will it be a short sort of adventure story?

 

I love both, but I'm currently (it's on hold actually) writing a pony fantasy novel that I hope to continue. If you feel as if you have the tools and brains (which I'm sure you do- no doubt there, I read what you said ) then go for it!

 

It will be nice to see some cool fanfiction on this site!!

 

hm... I'm not sure what defines it exactly. I think it might lean more towards a fantasy epic, but I might have to keep this one short or devide it into seasons. anyways, I hope you'll still have time to read it. ^^
