Everyone knows of the six Elements of Harmony that have saved Equestria before. But none know of the Elements of Chaos except Discord and the elements themselves. Now, they are taking action. With Discord freed and ponies who could free him again, the Elements of Harmony are Equestria's only hope.

What is this? Equestria unbalanced? What could possibly have caused it to happen so soon after the wedding?

Oh no. The Elements of Chaos... the Elements of Harmony alone will be unable to stop them... unfortunately, it's time for some intervention...

 

Chaos went soaring from the sky and landed in a golden comet, in Ponyville. He was able to keep at least one of his Soul Gems... and then he passed out.

Jacob,the element of darkness, was sitting on a chair, he was bored. Suddenly, Jacob walked up and sayed to the other elements of chaos. "The time has come, we have waited long enough. Lets free discord and take over Equestria." Jacob awaited for the other elements opinions

"Yes. The time has come for chaos to reign! Harmony is much too long lived. Now is the time to strike! The time to free Discord!" Lightning Flicker, the element of Deception had worked hard at gaining the trust of the Elements of Harmony. Considering one would have to turn against the others for the Chaotic elements to win, it had been necessary.

Rainbow Dash was sleeping on a cloud when she opened her eye. Dang it!

 

"Omigosh omigosh! I'm supposed to practice for the Wonderbolts today!"

 

Rainbow Dash whisked away and started swirling around a cloud. She then proceeded to do the Sonic-

 

Dang.

 

Rainbow Dash was flung backwards and hit into the house the Elements of Chaos were meeting. She opened a window to apologize.

 

"Sorry...uh...gotta dash!"

 

And that is what she did. Dash away~

Chocolate Truffle was trotting to Celestia knows where she was still shocked over the fact she was an Element of Chaos."This sucks." Chocolate Truffle exclaimed. "I got the lamest one out of them all too!" She said. "Not that i can represent it well or anything but i hate it nonetheless." She giggled a little before stopping herself. "Wait there's no laughing in my element!........This really does suck!" She complained as she continued towards the direction she was already going.

Twilight Sparkle had her nose in the thick of a large tome- even by her standards, which meant this beast of a book was larger than the table it was resting on- studying a very strange concept she had just come across. They called it 'duplicative magic', and it seemed to be a more user friendly version of the same dark energies that gave the wayward changelings their power. Twilight had gone through a lot: a veritable mountain of paperwork, three security checks, and a changeling detector (however that was supposed to work) to get her hooves on this book. Not that her hooves were on this book, since it was simply far too weighty. She had to employ a carriage just to get it back to her library.

 

"Duplicative magic will not always create perfect replicas, but similar to an imperfect glass blowing, will create copies with 'bubbles': deformities and flaws, whether obvious or not..."

 

Twilight looked over the page larger than her body in surface area again, her eyes and mind strained to levels they had never been before. Beyond being incredibly dense in it's writing and subject, to a degree that even Twilight struggled with; the writer had jarring changes in diction and style at times, including an area on this page where instead of writing a chart or graph to illustrate his or her point, the author had chosen to write POWAAAAAAAAAAA which was misspelled, bolded, and underlined all at once. Half wondering if this book was a farce, Twilight turned away to give her eyes a much needed rest.

 

"Hey Twi!" Twilight was about to question how Pinkie had gotten into her house without anypony noticing, but she determined that the effort would be wasted and just smiled back:

 

"Good to see you, Pinkie. What brings you here?"

 

"Have you seen Rainbow Dash? I wanted to get her to help me throw a surprise party for Mayor Mare! It's her birthday in two months!" Twilight grinned at that. When it came to parties Pinkie was even more on the ball and organized than Twilight was... in her own unique Pinkie way, that was.

 

"I think she was going to practice today? We can probably find her outside Ponyville somewhere."

 

"Then let's g-g-g-g-g-gooooo-!?" Before she could finish speaking, Pinkie was overcome by a set of gyrations: a twitch of both ears, a crack of her neck, a triple spin on her tail, a weird hoof maneuver that approximated breakdancing, and a two second holding of her breath. Twilight's attention to detail took it all in eagerly and without fault- this was a new Pinkie Sense! "Whoa! I've never had that one before!"

 

"What do you think this one means, Pinkie?"

 

"I dunno, but whatever this one is it's super super big! Let's go!" The two mares galloped out of the library, looking for Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash smiled. She was ALWAYS up for a challenge. Even if it was versing a weird pegasus.

 

She dashed quickly and caught up with Shade. She smiled. She's Rainbow Dash, the fastest of them all! While she was racing, she passed Twilight and Pinkie. She waved and got her attention back on the race.

 

"First one to Cloudsdale!" Rainbow told Shade with a wink, and used her Fantastic Filly Flash [Totally got that one from Turnabout Storm] to accelerate toward Cloudsdale.

"I dont know about the rest of you but im going to go to the discord statue. When you guys wanna free him just meet me there." Jacob got out of the home the EOC meet in, and began to walk towards the discord statue. He wanted to free him and get the chaos started.

Chocolate Truffle was headed towards the area Discords statue was. She thought the other elements of chaos would be there too.

 

Chocolate saw Fluttershy on her way there and "Oh hi Chocolate Truffle." Fluttershy asked as timidly as ever. "Would you like to ummm hang out together today? If thats ok with you that is." She smiled brightly.

 

"Fluttershy I have neither the motivation or inclination to do anything with you so id appreciate it if you LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Chocolate shouted at Fluttershy.

 

"Oh" Fluttershy started having tears in her eyes already "ok" she started to go back to what she was previiously doing.

 

Chocolate could Fluttershy sniffling behind her as she continued her trail. "Hmph....crybaby." Chocolate slurred

What a day. The sun was shining, its golden rays bathing the land in a welcoming, cheery glow. The birds of all hues and shades fluttered around the palace garden, their beautiful songs all blending together in the most beautiful euphony (as all of them had been specially taught by Fluttershy to sing at the perfect pitch). The sweet smell of the flowers wafted on a light breeze.

 

Yes, it was true. Yet another horrible day.

 

Discord had passed most of the morning arguing with himself about what kind of jelly the stars would be (obviously grape was the superior choice, but noooo. He just insisted on mango. Ugh). So now he couldn't even do that, as he and himself were no longer on speaking terms. So he didn't think. He just watched. And he felt.

 

He felt many things about the land of Equestria, the strongest of which being a supreme sense of disappointment. It was a land with so much opportunity; it could be so much more than it was, unrestrained by the laws of nature that dictated the functions of this boring planet. It could be truly FREE.

 

But DULL-lestia was too close-minded to see it. No, she wanted everything to be nice and orderly and peaceful and friendly. If he had any feeling in his body he was certain the thought would make him feel ill. What good were constants when all they did was make you constantly miserable? What good was trust when those that lied and deceived gained the most because they weren't so limited by society's arbitrary rules? What good was happiness when it came at the cost of absolute freedom and endless opportunity?

 

And they thought he was crazy.

 

Well anyway. No use complaining about it now. Might be another thousand year wait before he'd be released again by somepony chaotic enough to be worthy of his presence. Maybe by then Equestria would have learned to loosen up a bit and stop being so gosh darned sensible about everything.

My, my, what's this? He'd not felt such senseless, unprovoked anger since that faithful day...however long ago it was now. Ohh, it was enough to make him feel positively giddy! He wasn't quite strong enough to make himself heard, but any that had a keen awareness of the presence of spirits would have felt a grand sense of amusement radiating from the statue.

Lightning headed to the statue. She went as often as she could without seeming suspicious. She liked to pay homage to the one who she believed had made her such a wonderful deceiver. She smiled at the ponies she passed. "What a wonderful day!" She smiled as she passed Fluttershy. "Good day Fluttershy!" She trotted on. She absolutely could NOT stand the ponies that possessed the Elements of Harmony. And yet she remained friends with them. Why? She took joy in deceiving them. Especially sweet little Fluttershy.

Rarity: where is rainbowdash!? When I get my hooves on her I'm going to....

 

She sees flutershy crying...(err looking depressed) and walks to her.

 

Rarity: flutershy darling, what's wrong?

An annoyed Chocolate Truffle was only a few yards away from the Discord Statue. She felt some weird energy radiating from it but couldn't see it. "Thats weird.' Chocolate said to herself as she stared at the statue of Discord going into a hypnotic trance.

 

 

Meanwhile Rarity was asking Fluttershy what was wrong. 'Well...' Fluttershy started "There was a pony i knew then, i asked her if she wanted to hang out and for some reason....*sniff* she just yelled at me as if she hated me or something." Fluttershy began to sob she was nice and polite to everypony so why didn't she get that in return? "I've never seen her act like that before since I've known her."

Jacob was approching the discord statue. He saw that there were birds perched on the statue. Jacob walked up and stared at the birds with an intimidating look. The birds were terrified, they immediatly flew away from the statue. Jacob looked at Lightning and chocolat truffle. "Were are the others?"

"I do not know." Lightning had her eyes closed. Soon enough, you shall be free Discord. And then Chaos will reign as it should. It will be perfect. And I'll finally be able to ditch those loser elements of Harmony as 'friends'. Yes, soon, things will be as they should be.

Chaos Breaker sat up with a groan. He really needed to work on his landings. He stood up and groaned. He had hit something, and hit something hard. He stood up and smacked his face into... Discord's! He flinched. Then he realized... he was still a statue. For now. But Chaos felt an air of amusement radiating from it.

And it only got better! He hadn't seen a mortal with the ability to commune with his mind for a very, VERY long time. Not since the good ol' days when the gang was still together. Ahh, he could remember it well...wreaking havoc, setting the seeds of chaos so deeply into society that it had taken a total rehaul of the system to completely fix the beautiful chaotic disaster that had been Equestria back in its glory days.

 

Celestia had her little fan club, and he had his. And it wasn't hard to guess at which of his choice elements he was speaking to.

 

The art of deception has always been a personal favorite of mine. Interesting you'd take such a forward path in weaving your web of lies, but you know. Everypony has to start somewhere, I suppose.

He couldn't place an element to this one. In fact, he got the impression there was...something off about this one. And that intrigued him even more.

 

Even being bored to death would be better than this. I'm being bored to sanity. I mean, honestly, my thoughts have been so coherent lately, it's unbearable. Every day is the same as the last...it's. PREDICTABLE. Absolutely terrible...but enough about me. Let's talk about you. What brings you crashing face-first into me, hm?

Lightning was shocked. She'd been quietly trying to pray to Discord for the longest time. Since she was a little filly! And now he had answered. It would be so grand when he finally broke free! She felt tired of waiting. But, Deception required patience and forethought, which she possessed.
