Fox 5,330 February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 (edited) Many of us have jobs, but where do you work? This thread is to discuss why you like, or hate your job. Or where you would like to work and why. Share stories from past, or current jobs you've had. I work at a chinese take-out place, and I'm white. I get questioned sometimes why I work there. The answer is I'm loyal, close to my work, and get paid cash after I work. (yes under the table) Edited February 29, 2012 by Fox
Kazuki Fuse 534 February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 *Works one day a week in the back of a liquor store, paid in cash. Makes about $150 per week doing nothing* 5 Eh? Nandatte?
SrFrog 927 February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 I work at a Korean restaurant but like you I'm not even Korean. The thing about it is that I have to drive 1 hour just to get there and not get home till 11PM, which sucks. Secondly I get paid 700 every two weeks which would be fine if I lived closer and I work around 66 hours per week. That place is just killing me "Never give no manipulative bitch the benefit of the doubt" - Compa's grandpa...

TOMahwk 351 February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 I work at a local restraunt and I act as a host/busser, (mostly busser). Worked there since October of 2011, and I get $4.25 hourly + tips (They have to give me up to minimum wage at least), after taxes and all I make roughly $8.40 an hour, so not bad... Do I like it? Depends on my mood. Some days I have no problem working, other times I'm annoyed, usually because of customers. With those Gas Prices going up I think I'll just look for another job closer to where I live "Never give no manipulative bitch the benefit of the doubt" - Compa's grandpa... MrAnthology 11 February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 I don't have a job right now, but I've been promised summer employment with a big software company. 7:30 per shift, come in whenever and leave when your hours are up. $15/hour sure sounds nice when you're 17 and planning on going to college in September, haha. Kazuki Fuse 534 March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 Hmm, well it turns out I have an interview at Chapters on Friday, after I put in a resume with them back in October haha. Might take em up on it if they're looking for part-time workers. I love books and I like going to Chapters alot so getting paid to be there would be pretty tight. Eh? Nandatte? Jay6 29 March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 Boston Pizza... either wash dishes, or make nachos or salads. All for $9.75/hour. I can't complain much since I'm making money, and I really don't have too many expenses. I am looking towards a career in animation after I get out of my "personal projects" phase.
