gaming R.I.P Blizzard Servers

Lost

Recommended Posts

Ooh, awesome. My main is in PonyWaffe and i have 2 alts living in a C3. I am however slightly shocked and confused, since you are the first person i've met to actually like and play both games. As you know, EvE community enjoys spitting on WoW.

"Did you know that if a WoW player gives up WoW to start playing EvE, the average IQ in both games drops?"

No offense, its a joke :)

My favorite player bio i came across while playing EvE was one that said "WoW holds the player's hand from 1-85 and no matter what, win or loose they give you a cookie. EvE not only does not give you a cookie, but laughs at you for asking for one in the first place!"

I have not heard of ponywaffle, i have been out of touch with EvE for a while, mainly because of having to juggle university, other games and whatnot and i don't seem to be able to convince my friend to play it, its too hard for them -.-

Im sad, I really want to play this expansion it looks really cool. I stopped playing in cataclysm because I didn't have a guild or anyone else to play with and dungeon finder groups me with people who just hate hunters i guess. I don't really care about waiting a day or two for servers to pop up lol...

Wait what? there are people who hate hunters? but we carry the hell out of the DPS, often out DPSing even mages (unless it is that rare elusive form of mage that actually knows HOW to play and didn't just roll a mage because its a 2 button rotation)

*plays original GW*

*Hasn't had to deal with anything like this in years*

Get on my level, bitches.

Actually, I used to play WoW, and quit because it wasn't fun enough for the monthly fees. I'd like to play EVE, but it also has fees, and I hear it has a really steep learning curve.

This is why i prefer GW2 over WoW... In WoW i felt forced to login to play and do my daily stuff so that it didn't feel like i had wasted my paid subscription. Most of the time i ended up flying in circles in one of the main cities which is absurd when you think about it. x)

GW2 gives me more control over my play time, which i honestly prefer over anything else because force play is fun, right? c_c

To be fair.

That is a problem you got, and its not forcing you to play.

I never felt forced to play it, it sounds horrible and annoying if you ask me.

I played it, and when i got bored with it, i stopped playing.

The time when you fly around the major cities you should know its a sign that you are bored of the game and should cancel the subscription until you feel confident in playing it again.

I'm not into World of Warcraft at all and I don't know much about it. I have played it until level 47 a long time ago but I didn't really like that you had to pay for it. (So I got Lord of the Rings Online instead which is free hayo!)

But I don't think any game will replace WoW anytime soon. It still has so many players no game of it's kind can really compete with it.

But new games are being made all the time and WoW is outdated and old. It's getting "so 2005" if you know what I mean.

Give it 2 years and I think WoW will start to suffer as it's fuel runs out.

Lord of the Rings online feeds of people buying their stuff with real money.

That is worse if you ask me, since you pretty much need to buy their stuff in order to compete with the ''Big guys''

And there is new stuff coming all the time which means more money spent on digital items. It would be like buying on RMAH on Diablo 3.

WoW is amazing. Sure MoP is based on a joke (literally) but I love the game and have been playing for three years now. No matter what happens I will be sticking by it and all you guys better lay off because next expansion is Emerald dream :D YEEEAAAHHHH!!!!!!

All games do that. Mw2, Tf2, WoW, Battlefield, Even old games like super mario you would lose a life then go back to the first world and get back three. Its not fair to single out WoW if all games do it.

So far everyone is focusing on the lore which is terrible. We all wanted emerald dream and they gave us pandas and pokemon. But these new outdoor dungeouns are nice considering the last ones I played were sunwell plateau and SM

Saying 'all' games doesn't seem fair. Ever amassed a fortune in Dayz and then been skullfucked by a bandit? It is one of the most discouraging things ever.

"Get on my level, bitches" this made me lol, the exact reason i quit playing the original GW was because the level cap is 20 >.> that and the whole instance based crap, rather than open world.

EvE, is brilliant, but yes the learning curve is steep:

I never liked WoW as it constantly felt too grindy to me and that's what really put me off. As much as I laugh at WoW not being able to cope with numbers it is true pretty much every other popular game has the same issue on launch day, but how long it takes them to recover is a sign of how good are to deal with it. Hopefully this will deter players that once they actuality get to play the game and realize it was a waste of their time and money they will finally move onto other games.

I've played a fair share of MMO's and most of them couldn't keep me entertained for longer then the month. A few did but then quickly got boring soon after. The main thwing I liked about SW:TOR was the story, but as the gameplay was average I lost interest in that too. GW2 though really is a great game and I should get back to playing it, I just wish I had someone to play with though.

I like the low level cap. You really have to choose what you're going to build, because you simply don;t have enough points to level up all of your stuff.

And I like only having to play with people I choose to play with, but that's just me :/
