The The CMC: who gets their cutie mark first and how will it change them?

It's a question the show will address sooner or later (I hope)...who's getting their cutie mark first and how will the other two feel about it? Unless they all get their marks at the exact same time, but that would be kind of a letdown for me.

 

I'd put my two cents on Applebloom. Of the three fillies she seems to have the most solid family life and accomplished interests. I think it would kind of throw a wrench into the CMC's relationship, with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo feeling left out.

Sweetie Belle seems to be the easiest to say will get her cutie mark first... It would probably tear apart the CMC... It will be a duo.

Sweetie Belle. She seems like the most mature out of the CMC, and most conscious of her talent. I think she knows that she's good at singing, it's just she doesn't embrace it as her true talent. Also, she seems to have stage freight, which doesn't help at all. Once she overcomes that she'll be fine. She also seems like the kind of pony who would continue helping her friends no matter what.

 

I like to think that once the CMC grow up they'll be a three-pony act. Sweetie Belle will sing, Scootaloo will do stunts/choreography and Apple Bloom would design sets and costumes. Their apparent talents just work too perfectly together.

All three of them will gain theirs simultaneously. I can't see how it would go down any other way. Probably will happen in Season 3 finale or the movie or Season 4 finale if there is a Season 4.

my money is on sweetie belle getting her cutie mark first, once she learns to embrace her talent of singing i can only imagine how jealous rarity will become of her little sister just the thought of rarity being bossed around by sweetie belle when she begins ordering concert outfits makes me neigh with glee

Maybe if Applebloom started making zap apple jam, while Sweetie Belle sings about zap apples, and Scootaloo delivers zap apples while on a scooter. Then they all get their cutiemarks all of a sudden!

Yes I kind of agree with this. But what if two of them were to get their cutie marks before the 3rd person? Like, apple were to be the latest one to get her cutie mark? I'm just thinking hypothetically what series of events that would cause to happen..

Also agreeing with Purple Moon that sweetie belle would be most likely to get the cutie mark first.. because of her maturity. Apple bloom could though.. It's weird like that. She learned a lot of lessons when she got the cutie pox from Zekora's potions.. that was just an example.. but I'm just saying.. I think my money might be on Apple.

I think Sweetie Belle would be the first. Apple Bloom would be the last (because she just wants it SO MUCH). Kids of that age tend to have a strong desire to fit in and be popular like Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon (they are popular right?) and for Sweetie Belle to get her cutie mark might serve as a sort of "initiation" into the popular clique. She would be left facing a choice to embrace her new role as Ms. Popularity or to remain true to herself and her blank flank friends.

I think Scootaloo will get hers first. It's pretty simple that in no time she'll discover that her special talent is her scooter.

 

I think that when she gets her Cutie Mark, she'll begin to brag about it and forget bout AppleBloom and Sweetie Belle. They'll both get jealous and then try harder to earn their CM. Meanwhile, Scootaloo would be hanging out with all the popular people (the ones who have heir CMs) and trying to act cool around them. Eventually she realizes that her friends are hurt, and they continue to find out the rest of CMC special talents.

 

I think that would make a great episode! Are maybe in a two-part episode they can all earn their cutie marks trying to help the mane six.

It would be fun to see them pursuing another harebrained scheme, and each get their cutie mark at the same time like the mane six.

 

Its too bad that they may be too valuable (to Hasbro) as ponies for girls to identify with...they may never get their marks in the show.

I would think Sweetie Belle would be the first to get her cutie mark. Her talent is the most obvious and easiest to get. Plus Sweetie Belle is probably aware that she is good at singing, she just needs to overcome stagefright.

I think Sweetiebell just because of her awesome singing. She knows she's good, but, like others hav states, she has terrible staged fright. I would love to see Scootaloo get hers first though. Be a nice surprise since she can't fly.
