Anyone who's known me for a while knows that I really like the band Thrice. And I mean I really like them. They're legitimately my favorite band. Unfortunately, though, they're breaking up for a little while (they're going on hiatus, that is). So yeah. Super sad.

 

Luckily on October 30th, they're gonna release a live album featuring songs performed on their final farewell tour. So I had an idea that I'd do chiptune remixes of all their songs and release them every now and then, up till the release of this live album.

 

So that's the idea. I remix all their songs and release 'em every day till the live album is released. I was just wanting to know what you peoples think.

So yeh. That's one vote for me to do the thing. I'm actually thinking of calling it "Bits of Thrice". Like 16-bit, 8-bit, etc. It's a pun.

 

Hmm... I kinda just now realized that if I want to get all of Thrice's songs remixed before October 30th, I have just over 30 days to remix far over 30 tracks of music. Maybe I should just keep going after the 30th. Or maybe I should just do remixes of some of Thrice's best songs from all of their albums. Grrrr, what the crap should I do about this!?

I would say "Because I can", but I have to post 100 characters, so here's an actual answer.

 

They're my favorite band. They're taking a break from music. There's gonna be a whole bunch of hype on the day of the release of their final live album, so I figured "why not make an album and get some fans while also having fun and doing a tribute to my favorite band".
