How is the relationship between Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo after season 2?

So after the Mare Do Well episode, it seems that Scootaloo was not as obsessed with Rainbow Dash, then at the start of season 1 tell that episode. So that got me thinking, does Scootaloo not care about Rainbow Dash anymore? Could Scootaloo have learned that other ponies in town could be just as amazing as her? It just seems odd that Scootaloo who claims to be a Rainbow Dash fan, would start to follows Mare Do Well everywhere and forgets all about her.

 

Or in Ponyville Confidential how she wrote a story that showed RD in a weak kind of way. It just seems odd that she would do that. Then again Apple Bloom and Sweetie Bell did the same thing.

 

Now it could just be that the writers of the show have yet to write any good parts for them and are going to try and do more during season 3. What does everyone think?

I wouldn't look that deeply into Scootaloo's admiration for Dash because of that one episode. Keep in mind that the entirety of Ponyville swooning over this foreign, unknown hero was the entire point of the episode, because the goal was to pop a huge hole in Dash's ego blimp. Scootaloo's fascination with the new hero was the icing on the cake for it. Scootaloo has been Dash's fan since day one; they're not going to derail that big part of Scootaloo's character just because of one episode :3 Trust me, I'm pretty sure that in the context of the Mare do Well episode, it was a temporary fad. Something new and cool, that everyone was flocking to and paying attention to.

 

As for Ponyville Confidential, the Crusaders thought what they were doing was good, and like you said, it was not an isolated event for dash/Scoots, because the other two pairs of fillies and their sisters had the same thing going on.

 

I don't think anything has changed. No, scratch that. If there's going to be any change in the future season(s), it's going to be growth *I hope*, between the two of them. I know I want to see Scootaloo and Dash develop a closer relationship, sort of like Surrogate Sisters. It *sadly* may not happen that way, but the orange filly's fandom for best pony is safe and secure, I'm sure

I choose to write that off as the icing on the cake of the crapton of out of character moments in the mare do well episode. As for ponyville confidential the crusaders also published Rarity's diary and an editorial about Applejack's laziness, so I'm going to write that off as them feeling pressured into attacking even their loved ones. Of course maybe scootaloo's attitude is changing. We wouldn't know, since she's never gotten an episode. This is why we need that scootaloo and rainbow dash season 3 episode

Well everyone was fascinated by this new Mare Do Well character -- that was the whole point -- so Rainbow Dash's ego would lower for one episode.

 

But Ponyville Confidental, they all wanted their cutie marks badly, so they'd pretty much do anything.. Even if it means hurting loved ones..

Yeah... That was just to punch a hole in her HUGE ego. Just a fad... and something awesome.

I'm actually waiting for either Rainbow Dash to declare Scootaloo her sister, or that something awesome like that will happen.

Definitely just a thing to knock down Rainbow's ego. I mean, really, she's been her fan since day #1, I don't think she'd truly lose interest that easily.

i think that they should show rainbow and scootaloo as becoming close and more sister like in future episodes which weould be good because rainbow dash doesnt really have anyone very personally close to her other than the other five mane six

The entire point of the mare do well episode was to have everyone in town be fans of this unknown masked hero in order to make RD's ego go down, so I think the show needs to give us more information on the subject before we can draw any conclusion.
