Race: Earth Pony

Coat Colour: A beige or creamy colour, like old parchment.

Mane Colour: Brown

Cutie Mark: A computer terminal interface.

Eye Colour: Brown

Faction: CoE

Profession: Network Security Technician for the CoE's Ministry of Intelligence.

Ship: "Edge", a lightly armoured yet maneuverable Interceptor-class fighter.

Background: When he was only a colt Smart Flank still had an insatiable fascination with computer systems and their operation. In his school years he offset his lack of social life with research, and after some years of digging acquired a special interest in the field of hacking and penetration.

 

After leaving high school at 18, Smart Flank went on to work in security at several private firms before eventually applying for a post in the Ministry of Intelligence; patriotism and support for Celestia and Luna had always been deeply ingrained into his family, and this steadfast loyalty made him eager to serve his country and rulers.

 

Gladly accepted! A nice, non-OP character.

Faction - CoE. He and his ship pretend to be a group of Mercs for hire, in control of a single massive ship. Their goal is to dismantle the rebellion from the inside, but they have yet to gain their attention.

 

Profession - CoE Special Operations Captain. He commands a single ship.

 

Ship: The "Lightbringer".

 

Background: LP has had a military career since he first came of age. He served for most of his adult life in the CoE military, although he was eventually selected for service in their special forces fleets. He excelled in most of his infiltration, command, and assassination duties, rarely, if ever, failing. Eventually, partly due to his specialized version of magics, rose quickly through the ranks of the CoE and quickly became captain of a prototype ship named the Lightbringer, equipped with various technologies, both specially engineered and stolen from other empires. Once this ship was released from dock, the records of most of its crew we're erased as completely as possible, new fals slices manufactured for each and every one of them. They have a single mission: infiltrate the enemies of the CoE and bring them down at all costs.

Faction: Neutral. He has no alliances with any major faction, and he helps anyone who evokes his sympathies. Although he isn't loyal to the crown, he will not let anyone harm Princess Luna.
Profession: Mercenary wih vigilante tendencies. (mostly assassin-type stuff)
Ship: The Blue Moon. It is a very small, basic vessel. It has very little in terms of offensive capabilities, with weak defensive shields as well. It has a fairly good auto-pilot system though, which can be used to catch him when falling from tall buildings while on a planet. Most of the time, he just travels with allies/ companions or stows away on other ships though.
Background: Moon Shiner was once an elite soldier for the Coalition of Equestria. He was even the personal bodyguard for Princess Luna, during which he gained a great deal of love, respect, and loyalty towards her. Then on a dark, dark day, he was sent off on a mission deep within Zebrayik territory during which he saw something so horrifying that he became disillusioned with Celestia and the Coalition in general. He became determined never to be blinded by dogma and faith in any faction. From then on he would follow his own path, fighting evil alone as the mercenary, DeadEye. He has a very rigid sense of morality, and those who violate his personal code should fear him. He avoids energy weapons, prefering to use older types of weapons such as a bow and arrow. He relies mostly on skill, rather than on the power of such modern technologies to win fights. In fact he is old school in most regards.

Personality: Outwardly, he acts very cocky and proud, but he hides a lot of turmoil on the inside. He is confident, contemptuous, ruthless, and distant, but on the inside he truly cares about some of the people he helps. His pride often gets the best of him, and he is terrible at dealing with emotional problems.

Is it necessary to have a ship? Because I have NO clue about ships and stuff like that. If it is, I may not be able to do this RP.

Background: Was homeschooled all 12 years of education, and because of this, finished math a year before other subjects. Was always a little nerdy, and was shy/awkward by nature. Was formerly working on a project to see if earth ponies and pegasi could cast weak magic with their hooves/wings, and lost access to the college lab because of an accident that happened during an experiment.

Ships are 100% optional. Also, accepted! The background could be a bit more in depth, but other than that, you have a good character.

Important Announcement!

Pegasus, unicorn, and earth pony applications are temporarily banned until some people start sending in buffalo, zebra, sea pony, robot or changeling OC's. Background:Colt have been around for the last 1000 years on the realm on Equestria, at one point he swear to protect and guar the realm of the sisters with his life. And it would looks like the times for that are growing near.

He has learned study train and apply much of this to the magitech used by his ship and the Coalition fleet. He separate his way from the royal alicorns time ago exploring the cosmos and learning much from it. But deep inside longs for the pony kind and their leaders he cares for.

 

He was the lead head behind the Beyond the Bounds Project, shuttled down because of the diplomathic situation. Going rouge because the change of the Coalition priorities he and the heads of the project stole the ship built for that and traveled like the project planed. Developing in this time the Magitech Core and discovering the metatron jewels in that time.

Profession: Stealth Warfare (Infiltrating an enemy's base and disabling defenses, assassinations, spy work, ect.)

Ship: The Night Goddess (A Light Gunship with a custom made engine to allow travel at almost light speed.)

Background: Cosmo was a former member of the Blood Winds, a small (30 member) clan of assassins who worked for the Rebel Fleet. He spent 20 years of his life serveing them as the best assassin in the clan. He lived content in that life until a mission that changed his view of his entire life. He returned to his clan and eliminated every other member, he offered to spare them if they would accept being crippled, preventing them from being assassins ever again. Many of his former brothers chose death. He works with a young mare named Tiamat. Both of them are quie about their history, but one of their clients who hired Cosmo during his time as a Blood Wind has supsicions of the connection between Cosmo's final mission, and Tiamat becoming his partner.

He's a tad OP, but if you promise to fix that up, you're accepted! I recommend not making him the best assassin in the whole clan, and also, why did he kill all the other assassins?

Your first concern was Cosmo being OP? If you mean the part of him being the best assassin in his clan, I can't remove that part without his whole backstory being flawed, so again, I'll have to compromise or leave, sorry. Now, I said he was the best of his clan, I never said how good or bad his clan was. Cosmo is a pretty good assassin, not a great one, but the others in his clan were just decent. Being the best only means something if you're being compared to good or great. Being the best when compared to decent and bad is just... not as bad. Also, he had to be the best. If anyone was better than him, he'd be dead. They would've killed him for leaving the clan. Which brings me to the second issue you had.

 

2. Cosmo's reason for leaving

I left this one a bit mysterious for dramatic effect but I'll explain. Cosmo's last contract was to kill Tiamat but he fell in love with her instead (not an original story but still one I like so...). That's why he eliminated his clan. Like I said, you can't just fill in a resignation form and walk out when you work for a group of assassins; either kill them or go into hiding.

1: I suppose so, since Twilight's magic ricochet off of crystal.

2: There will be four kinds of NPCs;

 

     Citizens: Pretty much make up crowds. Species depends on what faction they're aligned to. Nearby NPCs are described to the        

     player by an admin. Attacking one will get you arrested.

 

     Police: Arrests criminals and offenders of the law. Once in jail, you can pay the fine (depends on crime and faction) or do the

     time.

 

     Non-sentient Characters (NSC): Animals and certain aliens. Behavior depends on their diet;

          Herbivore

          Carnivore

          Omnivore

     

     Robots: A ship's autopilot, a robot servant, etc. Reaction to attack depends on programming.

 

So, yes, NPC's will be controlled by admins.

All of these factions must have armies, and if someone' s character is from a different faction, there is bound to be direct conflict at some point.

Detailed background: Born and raised in early Phillydelphia, being a blank flank the entire time. He joined the 

Royal Guard in his early 20's, then Discord hit. They were down on numbers, and needed a way to win. His comrade, Thunder Warning, found a potion, that grants basic immortality,not being able to die by natural causes (EXAMPLE: Old age and sickness) at the sacrifice of having to kill a pony every 4 months to stay alive.   He takes it and leads the last group against Discord. From there, he became head of guards in another 30 years. Not aging, he was head of guard for another 150 years. After that, he resigned, and went off to settle down in the newly founded Ponyville. From there, years later, video games came out, and he was in love. This proved to be his talent, along with his adventurous spirit. He spent the rest of the time running a game shop, spreading his joy to others. Pirates raided his shop and left him bit-less, which caused him to have to abandon his shop and find a source of income elsewhere. He joined the rebels for this reason, and eventually agreed with what they believed in. While in the rebels, he was trained as a Software Engineer to create viruses and worms to take and destroy important files from their enemy. This is where he stands today, ship-less and not even in command of anything. Yet.

 

 

I hope this is a detailed enough back story. I thought, along with my OC's backstory in the link, it would be enough, and I'm sorry for making that assumption.

Why I want to be an admin: I have good organizational skills, and I have experience as a writer, creating scenes and such so I would be good at describing surroundings and directing NPCs. I also already kicked off the plot of the adventure in my first post and I have interesting ideas for where it will go. I also enjoy having a strong role in the story of the RP through painting a picture of the situation.

I think the problem is less that there isn't much to do, than that people just aren't posting much. I'll go put in some action right now though.

Colt is long gone. The only ones present with Axel right now are DeadEye  and Purplepower.

If I my memory doesn’t fail, you said your OC would dig into the Beyoud the bounds project, would you like me to do a brief description of that?. I t could explain some of the things happening and would help to create the story line some of the players are requesting.
