If I my memory doesn’t fail, you said your OC would dig into the Beyoud the bounds project, would you like me to do a brief description of that?. I t could explain some of the things happening and would help to create the story line some of the players are requesting.

He would be such an awesome addition to the RP   But you have to wait for Hyperdrive to approve your character. I'm not sure if my admin powers include adding characters. Hopefully he does it before the ships leave in the RP or else he'll have to be introduced on another planet or something.

This is a report on the closure of the Beyond the Bounds Project (BtB), this document resumes the purpose, involved personal, development and closure of the project.

Purpose:
The BtB project started as an initiative from Princess Luna as an answer to the upcoming resource and energy crisis the Coalition will encounter in a not distant future. The project was one of several ideas the brightest minds in the realm proposed to the crown to face the upcoming crisis and the first of them to be approved. The main statement of the project was simple. To build the most advanced ship the Coalition could manage and sent it with an outstanding crew to explore the sectors beyond the known, charted space and look for new resources and possibilities. The idea was never into the council liking but with the support of one of the royal powers behind it the BtB was approved making it the most ambitious project in the decade. The endeavor draw together the passion and effort of almost all of the top representatives of the industrial an technological divisions in the Coalition but was always keep away from the public eye. I must state that the amount of credbits injected into the BtB project is still kept as data of the top restricted level in the royal archives.

The project was able to develop the most advanced ship in the Coalition fleet the Star Interceptor Ragnarok, first and only to its kind for the absolute autonomy capabilities it was built for.


Involved Personal:
The project put more than 200000 ponies efforts together. Members from an inmense amount of companies and foundations worked on it without even knowing, lots of researchers had their thesis based on the necessities of BtB without knowing their final purpose. The secrecy of the project came from the fear of an “outer space race” where other factions would try the same as the Coalition.

Many of the main heads of the project are still part of the restricted royal archives but the key ponies behind it, maybe not the best way to describe them, were part of many reports that the BJI was able to acquire. Here is a summary of their profiles.

Officer in Charge – Princess Luna – Profile info classified.

Leading Officer – Colt Strahl, Rank: Colonel Rank expired: Guardian of the Realm ID: 6U4RD1A0R001 Age Unknown.

A dragon officer registered in the guard, the bureau was able to track his records over 1260 years in the past, near the times of the first generation of the Elements of Harmony. He was bestowed the title of Guardian of the Realm by the Princesses and served for oven 800 years as the personal bodyguard of both royal alicorns. For the research it would seem that nobody ever cared about his rank as he has several reports of being out of the military regime and rules acting like a free agent for the crown and it would look like he gained the full trust of the royal siblings. Little is known about his educational records but for all this time he imparted classes on several colleges around the home world and the early colonies. His developments on magitech knowledge had a big impact on the field of technology and I have solid evidence to supposed he had at least read half of the records and publications of the Canterlot Royal Archives. Let’s say that as scholar of such a long life span he has some solid ground behind his knowledge and experience.

This earth pony officer was the pride of the R&D weapon development branch of the ESTHAR (Equestrian Space TecHnology for Arms Research) for 10 years, before he was transferred to work on the defense network of the SI Ragnarok


Cid Marlow / Northern Star

Both of them are registered in the BtB project as civilian consultants Dr. Marlow is the genius behind the design and development of 80% of the fleet ships designs and prototype construction.

For the second Northern Star finished her PhD in Stellar Cartography at the age of 9 and finished the Air Force Pilot advance training at age 13 but was resigned of all of her duties as part of the Guard due to her terrible issues with authorities. She was considered one of the brightest young minds of the century.

Closure.

After what I have turned to believed was an astronomical amount of resources and the diplomatic relations with the other factions in the galaxy deteriorated the Council determined the BtB project had to be seized and no royal influence was able to stop it. The irony was that the SI Ragnarock was already built and the project was in the process of finding a fitting crew for its mission.
The team behind it wasn’t able to stand or understand such an insult over the years of effort and exhausted all the possible means to re opened It and launch the ship, they all failed.

Finaly one year after its cancelation four of the five key ponies in the program hacked the Canterlot main AI and started the launch sequence, the confusion was so big and the building hangar so “secret” they stole the ship taking it to the first destination point on the uncharted space. In simpler words they stole their own baby. There were rumors on Princess Luna leading such operation, even some crazy gossips about how she was left behind by the other key ponies as she wanted to participate on the BtB project actively but there was no evidence on such matter.

The ship went off radar 5 years ago and its crew was labled as MIA.

Detailed background: Born and raised in early Phillydelphia, being a blank flank the entire time. He joined the 

Royal Guard in his early 20's, then Discord hit. They were down on numbers, and needed a way to win. His comrade, Thunder Warning, found a potion, that grants basic immortality,not being able to die by natural causes (EXAMPLE: Old age and sickness) at the sacrifice of having to kill a pony every 4 months to stay alive.   He takes it and leads the last group against Discord. From there, he became head of guards in another 30 years. Not aging, he was head of guard for another 150 years. After that, he resigned, and went off to settle down in the newly founded Ponyville. From there, years later, video games came out, and he was in love. This proved to be his talent, along with his adventurous spirit. He spent the rest of the time running a game shop, spreading his joy to others. Pirates raided his shop and left him bit-less, which caused him to have to abandon his shop and find a source of income elsewhere. He joined the rebels for this reason, and eventually agreed with what they believed in. While in the rebels, he was trained as a Software Engineer to create viruses and worms to take and destroy important files from their enemy. This is where he stands today, ship-less and not even in command of anything. Yet.

 

 

I hope this is a detailed enough back story. I thought, along with my OC's backstory in the link, it would be enough, and I'm sorry for making that assumption.

Firstly, you're character is immortal, which is obviously unrealistic. So is his "sacrificing a pony every 4 months". Seriously. But, however, I will give you one last chance. Get rid of the immortality, make him a non-pony(the roleplay needs diversity) and you're good. Besides, I think a Rebel hacker would be a nice nemesis for Archi's OC.

He almost hit the ground, but luckily caught his balence and soared forward. After 2 months living with his family, he had no choice but to fly away and live on his own. Of course, he was quite lazy at 13 years old (Human years.) but he still found a place to live. He out in the forest in a large hollow. He usually snoozed on the clouds above, due to his laziness. After living his own calm life in a forest somewhere in the borders of Equestria, he heard there was another attack of the changelings and rebels. After hearing the news, he was desperate to get into it and help. He stared learning how to blacksmith by gathering coal and precious metals. He did this for quite a long time until he knew the steps by heart. However, he still practices, waited for things to turn out worse.

Not immortal. Close to it. He can be killed, he just doesn't die naturally. And its not sacrificing, its so he doesn't go crazy. He's not sacrificing to a god, nor is he doing it for his own pleasure, hes doing it so he doesn't go on a blood rampage that murders anyone near. And a non-pony? I will only do my oc, nothing else. Go ahead and scratch me off the list of people for this rp, I don't even want to be in it anymore if it requires me to change both my oc, and who I want to be. That's kind of a funny coincidence because when I made my OC, DeadEye, he was largely influenced by Boone from Fallout: New Vegas. His beret even looks like a modified First Recon Beret.

Yeah, I think the two characters work really well together as partners. The factions are similar to New Vegas, probably because the format for the game was so good that it is hard to make a similar story without emulating it a bit, although I think the Rebels do not exactly fit Yes Man because, rather than freeing the galaxy, they are just about overthrowing and taking over the CoE for themselves. A Yes Man route hasn't really presented itself in the story yet because the nature of the story means that everyone has to work with the CoE for now, even if they do so begrudgingly.

Can you have Axel react to DeadEye and launch the ship? I'm kind of eager to get the show on the road, and if you don't post before tomorrow afternoon, I will launch the ship myself so that it doesn't hold up the RP.

I'm going to leave it up to @, to accept you or not, although I do have some recommendations if you still want to be part of this RP. First, you may want to relocate him to the Zebrayik Planet (which is being occupied by the changelings right now) which most of the characters are headed to right now because most of the characters won't be in Equestria much longer. You could have him living undercover, waiting for the opportunity to free his Zebrayik brethren or something along those lines. Alternatively, you could leave his location the same and have him help Smart Flank at some point, tying him into the plot. You may also want to make him a few years older, just because, as is, it is a little unbelievable that everything in his backstory happened in only 17 years. I think Zeph is a good character, although, as I said, the final decision is up to the DM.

Yeah, I love the Yes Man route, although it is a pain to deal with the NCR as an enemy considering they're practically everywhere. I've played the game every way except siding with the Legion. I usually side with the NCR though, just because it's easier.

 

Of course, this all begs the question: Will Charon be throwing Celestia off of Canterlot Castle?  jk

For some reason, he was to scared to even try to jump and flap his large wings. He learned how to fly when he slipped of a branch of a pine tree and flapped his wings quickly with shock. He almost hit the ground, but luckily caught his balence and soared forward. After 2 months living with his family, he had no choice but to fly away and live on his own. Of course, he was quite lazy at 13 years old (Human years.) but he still found a place to live. He out in the forest in a large hollow. He usually snoozed on the clouds above, due to his laziness. After living his own calm life in a forest somewhere in the borders of Equestria, he heard there was another attack of the changelings and rebels. After hearing the news, he was desperate to get into it and help. He stared learning how to blacksmith by gathering coal and precious metals. He did this for quite a long time until he knew the steps by heart. However, he still practices, waited for things to turn out worse.

Me gusta. You're accepted! Although, I would like to have him a few years older. Also, the griffon race as a whole is unaligned, so you can join any faction, except the Empire.

 

Cool. Now that I think of it, there are a lot of similarities between Boone and DeadEye. I think him and Charon will be the best of friends by the end of this.

EDIT: I also think that the factions are similar to each other; The CoE being the NCR, the Changelings being the Legion, the Zebrayik Federation being like Mr.House, and the Rebels being like Yes Man.
