I need a hack or something... I just started playing game last month, and it's hell. The game has 6 things going at once. We got the Ponyville being stuck in the dark by Nightmare Moon story THEN, I need to help Applejack in Sweet Apple Acres ALSO, I need to go to Canterlot and help with the wedding THEN, I need to help the ponies get there cutie marks back ALSO, The BLOODY Equestria Girls Dance Game ALSO, There something with a minecart? All of this, and I need a lot of coins and gems if I want to complete them all... This game is going to end me...

Looks like that what you really need is some good advice.

Now, first, try to get as many shops as you can and spread all your ponies across the shops.

In order to get a lot of coins easily, you can fast forward by changing the time on your device. The same goes for the Equestria Girls which you can play for free and this will give you "hearts" (if you have no friends, like me, lol).

The Minecart game allows you to get gems, coins, and elements of harmony.

How the buck do you win each stories?

Don't worry too much about the quests.

Just try to establish a solid economy. You can take the quests on at a later stage.

I have 3 three lands to take care

If you feel you cannot manage all three of the lands, just focus on one of them.

However, by focusing on only one of them, you will not maximize your economy and thus it will take longer to boost your income.

Yeah this is what I did. I thought there was too much to do at first, so I focused on Ponyville. Edited by Blobulle

Welp, I got it and things. Plz add me, I need to spread chests and get Heart stones so I can get Zecora and others. Plus I feel lonely x) Only two people in my Friends list, and one of them is the games' automated Celestia XD

Gameloft Live Name: spitfirelurv

Add me plz, and we can exchange presents and chests :D

Also, there are hacks in existence, a few different methods in fact, and they do work very well, but unfortunately, Hasbro recently updated this game with its' 1.9.0 version, which killed all the currently known ways of hacking it to provide gems and bits x) If and when the fandom's geeks figure out a way past it is anyone's guess.

Speaking personally, I don't endorse hacking, but this game is quite literally a money sponge. It's 'Pay to Win', and Hasbro not only has yet to make any other MLP games, but seems to cease and desist fandom-made MLP games quicker than any other medium of fandom content. When this game is the only real 'official' pony game around, it is sadly hard to ignore if you're a smartphone user. So, my sympathy for the company's financial needs in this instance flies out the window. They don't need to make a game so money-oriented that you need to pay 6 bucks to remove a big rock, or expand a little bit of land x)

That said, hacking is one of many things not allowed for discussion on our forums, and most forums in general. Please share those things privately through PM or through a third-party medium like Skype or email.

I'm suffering from the parasprites everywhere, no gems to remove them problem as well, though mine are Kindness, not Loyalty. Kindness isn't much easier to get, so it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Once you reach max level, you can no longer get gems by level and exp will stop there.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, HOW do I get in on this exp/gem conversion? Are they talking about leveling up?

Here's a little guide to parasprite removal that I've written up just now. Some of you may have already had all this in mind, but now it's in a detailed explanation that anybody who's freaking out over their infestation, can read, and understand :3

Swarmed by parasprites in Gameloft's MLP game? So is everyone else! Read this to not be one of them!

The name of the game is quarantine. Containment. Which means, first of all, stop expanding your map in search for the harmony stones for a little while, and go into resource hoarding/pony collecting/parasprite killing mode. With no new territory to worry about them coming from or spreading to, the parasprites have a finite number of places they can go. So, block those places off. In any empty spaces where there are no parasprites, put stuff. As everybody should know, the parasprites need a 2X2 square to spawn, with their largest group being 4x4. So if you put shit everywhere, they can't spawn. Use paths, trees, buildings and flags to not only drown out any room for the parapsrites to spawn in, but to also decorate your town. Use this opportunity to organize and make things look good, keeping in mind other game tips as you go, like having all your shops near one another so that you can collect your loot each day quick and easy.

Once there is no more free space for the parasprites to spawn in, you just need to worry about the ones that are already there. The battle is already half over at this point, as you've quarantined them, removed their ability to do what they do; multiply. So now, you can approach the task of removing them, clump, by clump. A parasprite clump consists of four or five parasprites. Which means, time to collect whatever shard(s) you need. Upgrade your ponies, play the cart and dance mini-games, play balloon pop, etc, etc, and you'll come to four or five shards of whatever type you need before too long. Once you have them, use the shards to eliminate your chosen clump of parasprites, and immediately stick stuff in that empty spot they left behind, ensuring that they can never again spawn in it.

You effectively choke them out, clump by clump, four or five shards at a time. It won't happen overnight, but it's the strategic, logical approach to dealing with parasprite swarms, especially the ones of a single shard type that everbody often gets plagued with. 'I have to accumulate four or five *insert shard type here* over the next few days to remove that clump, then put stuff in it, and repeat the process until they're gone' is far more effective than 'I HAVE LIKE 64 PARASPRITES AND THEY'RE ALL OF A SINGLE ELEMENT AUGHHH I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET RID OF THEM!', don't you think? This is your game, own it :3 Show those parasprites who's boss. They want to multiple? Starve them by taking away all possible locations for them to spawn, and eliminate them, once group at a time.

Hope this helps :3

According to the game's (or app's) facebook page, they said the cause of the massive pest problem was the time traveling trick. If people were to abuse the time travel trick, It would cause more pests to spawn such as parasprites and vampire fruit bats to appear like crazy. To remedy the problem, you guys want to spread your ponies across the shops and not to do or use the time traveling trick. I've seen a lot of people to do the time travel trick and it's not gonna be easy for those that did time travel trick to remove all the parasprites and vampire fruit bats. What's Top Priority is to unlock the elements of harmony stones first before using the elements of harmony shards on the pests such as parasprites, changelings, and vampire fruit bats. Of Course to get more shards was to play the mine cart mini-game and use the 2x score multiplier and If you have a lot of friends and hearts, then you can exchange 30 hearts each for a chance of getting the elements of harmony Shards. If you're saving the pests for the daily and weekly events, then don't use the elements of harmony shards on them unless it's part of the daily & weekly events. Keeping Ponyville, and sweet apple acres decorated will prevent them from spawning on those spots however blocking the spawn will affect the gem farming (parasprites and vampire fruit bats), and wheel farming (vampire fruit bats only)

Whoa Whoa Whoa, HOW do I get in on this exp/gem conversion? Are they talking about leveling up?

Someone asked about the max level and you can go far as you can till the exp stops there, but you can't get any gem rewards any further when you reach the max level. You can't convert exp into gems otherwise it would make the questlines easy enough to complete so I don't think they will do that.

The time travel thing is a "trick" not a hack, so should be okay to discuss.  You can hardly say changing the time on your phone is a hack, its a basic function.

Also, why do people worry about parasprites so much?  The only thing they do is perhaps slow down the game a little and make it hard to place new items.  Other than that, they are just a minor annoyance and the money you spend blocking off their ability to respawn would be better saved.  After all, killing them gives you gems so you are reducing your gem income if you block them.

Guess i'll through my username back into the mix: trixtf

Anyway been slowly grinding anyway at the ponyville quests / dailys and trying to save up gems towards the more expensive stuff, and well I've come to the point where I need to get the restaurant for 3 different quests ...

This may have already been asked but I couldn't find it anywhere. Out of the blue I can no longer watch the three free ads to get the free pink gems. I am on an iPad. Is this a common problem? Has this feature been taken away? Am I doing something wrong??

This option is still present for me, the "get free gems" thing is still present on the gem purchase menu. Been getting plenty of free gems still since the update.

At times, it's cheaper in gems to skip some shops/items then it is to buy them.

Also, they released the game in the Windows 8 store. Just what I needed, to be able to play it on my pc monitor.  It doesn't let you connect to your gameloft id though, only facebook. So that kind of sucks. Hopefully it gets added in shortly.

Well sometimes you're forced to buy the decors, shops, and ponies since some of them can't be skipped.

Well, I cannot find the option anywhere :(

What platform are you playing on? I'm on Android, not that it should make a difference unless they botched something again with the newest update.

Edit: Just checked my Windows 8 version and the option for free gems isn't there, but that version is missing a lot and is pretty buggy still since it was only just released. So not a definite answer IMO.

For those of you guys are concerned about the parasprite invasion, the game's (or app's) facebook page said that they're working hard to fix the parasprite invasion issue so apparently the issue will be fixed in the coming update. A Hotfix is available for those of you guys are using google play for the progress lost issue.

More bump

Honestly though, now whenever some random parasprite/changelings/bats come up,  I never fear them, for I have all 400+non Magic shards, 60 magic shards.
