Vinyl finished the small mountain of paperwork on her desk, then she stepped back out onto the balcony. She looked over toward the two other kingdoms and could sense a war brewing. We've got to set up diplomatic relations with the pegasus kingdom soon. Might as well start now. She stepped back into her office, packed her saddlebag, and went downstairs. She told the Guard Commander that she was going to establish a diplomatic relationship with the pegasi and was expecting to be back within a matter of days.

 

She teleported herself to the unicorn/pegasus border and started walking toward the capital

"Hm... Well, I'll put in in control of it, but you must agree that you will be ready to back out if they start a riot, ok? I don't want you hurt..."

"Anypony could be watching... Best play it safe..."

 

"I promise" he tenderly wrapped his hoof around her shoulder but was careful not to get too comfortable, they weren't alone after all... "Now before we jump straight to the course of war, we should consider all other avenues first. I haven't heard much about the Pegasi relations with the Unicorns... how's that working out?"

The next morning Surge wakes up with Windscar laying on his chest. In thought. Did we......did i really just......Wow....i did. With her....a pagasus.... oh boy how did this happen? Well...iv done the deed...Shes mine now. And i wouldnt want it any other way. He kisses her on the forehead and rolls her over. As he gets out of bed she rolls over but stays sleep. He puts his uniform on and his weapons just in case. Fatigue was already outside. So i see your ready? Thats a first. Oh im more than ready. Now shall we? We will. But first we have to wait for Vilner. Ahhhhggggg.....Fine.

Velnir heard it in her voice. He stopped abruptly, and turned her face towards him, saying, "Then let this be my promise instead." He kissed her and brushed her mane back around her ears, looking her in the eyes, "I love you, Shelby, even more than I love life. I will come back, if only to come back to you." He kissed her on the forehead, and walked on. They eventually made it to her house. The events of the day had made him tired, and he decided it was time for him to sleep. "I'm going to bed Shelby; I'm beat. If you'd like... you can come with me. Otherwise, that's where I'll be."He went to bed with or without her,either smiling faintly, or lost in thought. If he woke up alone, he left quietly and tired, with only what he needed. If he woke up with Shelby, he woke up smiling, reluctant to leave. He would have kissed her, and put together something for her to eat, either when she woke up, or together. Either way, Velnir was in townhall in about 30-50 minutes.

 

"I'm here fellas," a rather depressed looking Velnir came in, looking at the both of them. He had heard Fatigue's comment, saying, "And you are the reason I am coming, General. If anypony else had made the report, I would not have had to." He sighed,waiting for Surge's orders.

Good now that we are all here here's the plan. We are going t the Unicorn Pony Kingdom to find who ever did this. But, Fatigue this is not a snatch mission so there will be none of that. We will go to their leader and tell them what happened and find out a way to work things out. And since you were the only one to see who did it you Fatigue will point them out. Velnir i need you for diplomacy. You are the most level headed one of us three and i will need you to help in the negotiation. If all goes well we will have a new town doctor to train under you Venlnir. And if it goes wrong......Well we will be ready for the worst.

Well i hope the worst happens. Iv been waiting for a good fight for a while now.

Cherry Blossom inhaled and exhaled and tried to build up any confidence. She walked back to Greylight and Martin with a serious and worried face. "I-I think we should be friends with the Unicorns. T-They did nothing bad to us right?" she believed through their act of kindness they treated her when she was captured, this was to repay them for it.

"Fatigue, shut up. I'm ready Surge. Just lead the way; lets do this quickly. It's entirely possible that the unicorns could still be in the border, so we should get the town guard into action. When you're ready, come and get me. I have to go get something from my shack." He left, jogging. When he got to his shack, he went into the basement. In the very back corner was the real knife, as opposed to the hilt that was currently in his sheath. He slid it in, feeling the familiar weight of his companion. Then he sat and waited.

Vinyl came up to a sign that pointed toward the pegasus capital. She continued walking in that direction for about a mile, until she came upon a military checkpoint. The guards saw her and immediately told her to stop. She complied with the order and they closed in on her.

"State your business here and remove of any weapons and or lethal objects," one guard said as he elbowed the guard next to him. "I don't trust this Unicorn, we might as well just buck her out and get back on our posts," "We aren't allowed to do something like that. Besides, doing things like that will only make us look more like barbarians." they talked to eachother continuously as a another guard approached her instead. "Ignore them, just state your business here."

Shelby woke up with Velinr gone. She hoped that he was ok and would have a good trip- no, this seemed like war. She just hoped he would by fine.

"I'm Vinyl Blade, leader of the unicorn kingdom, and I'm here to see your kingdom's leader and to set up a diplomatic relationship between our nations. That is all you really need to know. Can you take me to them?" Vinyl knew she didn't have much time before military action would be taken on one of the nations, so she needed to get this done as soon as possible

The guard nodded and sent for an escort to take her to the capital of Pegalopolis. They would follow orders as told and wouldn't do anything else, but some didn't like the other species. The guards went back to their posts and the escort started leading Vinyl Blade.

The unicorn diplomat and her pegasus escort walked in absolute silence to the pegasus capital of Pegalopolis. When they got there, the escort asked for permission to bring Vinyl to Commander Hurricane. The messenger then flew to the room that the commander was in and knocked on the door. "Ma'am, a unicorn is here to see you. Should I send her up?"

As Velinr returned they set off. Lets make this quick ok. And keep your eyes open and be for anything. Now you know i came ready. *strapping his wave blades on his arms* Im so ready for this. Lets go. Runs down the path. Ahhhhh damn it Fatigue. Come on Velinr. The quicker we get there the better. Starts to run as well.

 

Windscar woke up to Surge not being by her side. Well it seems like hes gone. I just hope i did the right thing......Oh what am i talking about of course i did the right thing. And it felt so right too. And at least.......I was with someone who would not turn their back on me. Gets up and puts her coat on. She walks outside for some fresh air. Ahhhh....I can so make a living here. Maybe start a family. I just hope Commander doesnt find out im missing.

Velnir sighs, "Just like him to leave a mare without saying good b. He pauses at the door and looks in. His eyes widen as he realized what must've happened, "Windscar right? Surge and the rest of us are heading out. I keep drugs for any stirrings inside your stomache you don't want in the dungeon. Third room on the right, second shelf down. It's the bitter liquid in the second vile from the left. If we're not back in a week, chances are it's very bad."

 

He turned around and ran to catch up with Surge and Fatigue. "Surge, you need to learn to clean up you after parties, if you know what I mean," he sighs.

Sapphire and the group continued walking towards the earth pony village. After several more minutes they arrived. "Okay, we are here everypony. Stay quiet and try to find their military strength and where they keep their food." She whispered to the group.

Very quietly, Star Rain searched through the village, looking for the food supplies. The whole town. was barricaded, which was a disturbing thing to her. She saw the fields and was surprised there wasn't a lot of crops that were growing or ripening. At first she didn't see anything else out of the ordinary, until she saw a cave. She then approached Sapphire. "Ma'am, I found a cave by the fields. Should we check it out?"

Sapphire turned to Star Rain. "Okay, let's go, remember stay quiet and don't attack unless needed." She said the the group as they headed to the cave. As they neared the cave Sapphire looked around for any earth ponies, if they are spotted this deep in their territory they would have a lot of explaining to do. A few hooded, gloved Earth Ponies were tending to flowers infront of the cave. "Have you heard? There are Unicorns in our territory," one of them said. "Yes, I heard they guild two guards. Do you think we should move into the caves?" "No, you idiot. The unicorns can shoot straight just fine. The caves are for pegasi." They stopped talking for a while, nervously looking around. Each of them had a knife, but, other than that, nothing much."

 

(They also have poison joke seeds in their cloak pockets, and the flowers their tending are poison joke.)

Sapphire saw several earth pony guards. "Everypony stay here, it will be quicker and less risky if I go ahead to see what's in the cave." She ordered the group. She pulled a grey gem from her saddlebag and quickly jumped out of cover while the guards weren't looking. She neared the entrance of the cave remaining as quiet as possible.

"This year's harvest was a bit small," one said. One of them, wealthy looking, replied, "A little. A LITTLE small? I think the pegasi are salting their rain!" The first one rolled his eyes, "You're an idiot. You forgot to put down your weeds, and you have more than your share of pests." "I couldn't find somepony to work my land!" "Because last year you payed us half of what you owed us."

Two guards were at the mouth of the cave. So i hear Surge left town. Yea and Fatigue is back too. Great. What does that bastard want? Hes the one who saw the unicorns kill off two of our guards. Great....Just what we need. Two troops that wont be coming home. Did they have families? You know they did. Wife, foals, everything. Wow thats sad. Looking at the two planters. Hey so hows the poison joke coming?

The other guard sees a pony in a coat and hood(Sapphire) approaching. Hey you. Wheres your cart with your harvest in it? You know you may not enter unless you have a harvest to store. Waits on her response as another pony walks by with a cart full of hay. Hey kid get out the way. Some of us have work to do around here.

 

Surge, Fatigue, and Velinr make it to the EPK/UPK boarder. They are stopped by two unicorn guards. Halt! State your being here. Fatigue stepped up to the guards blades ready. If you dont let us pass lets just say your horn will be my....Fatigue shut it! Forgive my friend. Hes a little.....head strong. But im here to speak to your leader. And just who are you? I am General Surge leader of the EPK. And these two are Fatigue my body guard, and Velinr my diplomatic consort. Now if you dont mind we have a pressing matter that may lead to a war if we do not see you leader. Very well. But next time keep a muzzle on your guard dog. Noted. As the gate opens they see a kingdom unlike their own. Wow.....This place is nice. I cant wait to take over it. Fatigue you need be on your best behavior. I did not come here to start a war. But if you do ill turn you over to them and let them deal with you. Whatever Surge. You know you cant get rid of me. Even if you wanted to you still couldnt.

Sapphire quickly took a peak in the cave, inside she saw several piles of food. 'So they have been hoarding their food.' She thought. Sapphire quickly took a step back from the cave planning to make her way back to the group. As she stepped backwards she didn't see the piece of dried wood behind her. She stepped on it making a loud cracking sound. Sapphire assumed the guards heard it so she quickly pulled out her spear and readied her magic.

 

(OOC Ninjaed..... They were in a bush, not approaching so the guards couldn't of have seen them.)

 

The two unicorn guards were joined by two more, they took a formation of two in front and two at the back. The guards stopped. "Before we continue please give me all your weapons, they will be returned when you leave unicorn territory." One of the guards said.

(Diehard, take a seat. I got this *Pulls out Bass Cannon* But seriously, Mal and I are txting eachother, trying to keep it fair.)

 

The guard immediately turned. "It's a unicorn! Look, she's using magic!" The one that said that quickly threw his bag of poison joke seeds at her. The other two blocked the entrance of the cave, pulling out their knives. "Don't make us kill you. Scratch that, give us an excuse to kill you," that one looked like one of the dead guards. The other one said, "Alive, if possible."

Sapphire quickly turned, only to see a bag of seeds thrown at her. She swiped at it with her spear knocking the seeds aside, avoiding contact. She studied her opponents, three guards, two armed with knives, other unarmed but might have a weapon. She quickly calculated multiple outcomes of different attack strategies. "Yes, alive, I'm not here to kill any pony." She said as she used her magic to throw the grey gem she had in her hoof towards the two earth ponies with knives. She quickly used the shaft of her spear in attempt to knock the pony in front of her off balance. They grey gem exploded with a searing bright light, followed by a small cloud of grey smoke.
