It seems like most of you are in favor for the mystery dungeon-type thing, so, in this case, majority rules. I'll try to adjust to story to satisfy those who wanted something else.

 

I'll make the OOC thread tomorrow - we've stalled long enough, and I'm sure most of ya wanna see RP World's community get together.

Hmmm... ya know, I did do some role playing on the Batman: Arkham City forum, and I was actually pretty good at it, but I've never gotten into it on these forums. I think Aureity hit the nail on the head in saying that some of us have simply not felt able to break into the RPing on these forums, so a giant community project like that could definitely be a way to get a lot more of the community involved in RPing. Even if it doesn't, if anything, it (1) would be a great way to bring the community together, and (2) would be a really fun project if pulled off correctly. I think the best way to do so would be to not make whatever scenario or plot the RP takes too much of a commitment. For example, it could be some major event in Equestria that affects all of it, and someponies might get together, but others might just be off doing their own thing when whatever major event happens, and they could tell their stories about what's going on with them. IDK if that's what'll happen, it's just an idea, and I'm interested to see what everypony comes up with and where this project goes from here. Keep us updated!!!

I'd like to suggest some event affecting just about everypony in equestria, with the dilemma being adapting to its' aftermath.

 

Maybe it could be set just at the beginning of spring, and the meteorologist ponies discover that for some reason, the next winter will have to be four times longer than usual.

A full out Roleplay seems Great on the surface but i can see...some slight....complications.

 

Now don't get me wrong! i'm one of the most positive peeps you can find (and i dare anyone to Challenge me! >.> <.<) but a RP THIS BIG could be a pain for everyone...or it could be a epic experience.

 

See, with a select small group, a RP is easy to follow, you don't mind reading a few new posts, Communicate with a few peeps and not have to remember 1000 names and bios....yes it can feel small and lonely i admit but its works.

 

A HUGE community RP would be epic in its possibilities....however in just 24 hours of posing you could have missed PAGES of posts, which means finding exactly where you are and if someone replied to you specifically you have to find where THAT post is. Now that's not a prob you say? well in RP sometimes a random person will interact with you for some reason, which means skipping any posts can be a bad move, meaning reading 100 BILLION posts before even posting your own WHICH could mean MORE posts where posted in the time you took to read the posts.....its....taxing...even the great ctrl+f can't help those issues out.

 

But like i said...it could be great, there would have to be ALOT of quoting, maybe that would help it be more organized....and that's another thing, the moderation would be INSANE, making sure everyone stays in the guidelines etc, i'm just saying...be prepared for some hecky something or another...

 

 

Now with all that said....if i can get a OC Drawn and set up i would totes look into this. ^^
