Devyp2theizo 170 January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 coming to the defence of the magazine, as a long time subscriber of over 8 years...i have yet to see a biased review in gameinformer, i read the magazine for its insight and reviews and i almost always agree with whats said in them as well notice all flaws and sstrong points that they point out, the company is not paid to give out good or bad scores, and looking at the games from a reviewing point and not gamers point of view has proven that time and again for me... lol i had to say something ! i come in here and your all bashing on my fave game mag with opinions that are unjustifed! D: Unjustified opinions? lolno, I won't talk about how much of a joke GameInformer is, but if we think that they're unjustified in bashing bronies then we have the right to hold that opinion. IMO people can hate/dislike MLP:FiM all they want, but painting all bronies with the same brush and bashing them isn't exactly fair. Legit101 300 January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 (edited) All that does is discredit the magazine, a lot of bronies are gamers. But if they want to lose money, that's their business. ~ Here's a little spoiler for you. My Little Pony is girly. Amazing I know. Hit me hard when I first found out too. I kinda wish Gameinformer would go ahead and actually watch the show, then make a review instead of having arguments with fans. It's a game magazine, not television. Dear Game Informer, STOP GIVING OUT GOOD RATINGS TO WHICHEVER COMPANIES PAY YOU MORE. Sencirely, Non-corrupt society That's how it works, sadly. Have you seen the SWTOR reviews? Crazy. Lady Rarity Pony 4,893 January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 It's a game magazine, not television. ...what is that suppose to mean.In case you haven't noticed by the article we are talking about, they talk about more than just video games. I see no reason why them being focused on games should stop them from making a short review on a cartoon. LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Fees and penalties still apply. Devyp2theizo 170 January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 they only said it "looks frilly", and later said "it sounds genuinely entertaining" but they did kinda say we (siding with the guy who wrote the letter) should be embarrased for defending it in public, which i do take offense to... and also later said we make no mention of frilly being a bad thing

Then being frilly doesn't really matter. 1 Follow my blog! ~The Mind of Sally - Experiences, Opinions, Musings~

SBaby 660 January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 (edited) Who cares? Game Informer's been anything BUT a true gaming magazine for years now. We all know they're just a mouthpiece for SONY. And before this becomes a console war topic, I do normally favor the PS3. Free online carries alot of weight with me. In fact it's the only one of the three systems I keep in my own room. I just know the truth when I see it. If it makes you feel any better, the fact that we're being attacked by the mainstream media means that we're technically on the right side. But we'll convert them sooner or later. We're starting to convert Fox News. I'm sure we can convert a much smaller magazine. And just to let you know, the two or three gamers that GI pays to write those comments don't represent the gaming community. Especially seeing as like 90 percent of all Let's Players are admitted Bronies, and MLP videos are the only videos on the internet that aren't related to politics or famous people and can get views in the millions in a mere few weeks. What's the reason for all the hate on Bronies? We have an army and they're intimidated by us. Edited January 18, 2012 by SBaby A Winner Is You!!! Stoner Spike 185 January 20, 2012 Share January 20, 2012 Wow. I didn't think GameInformer were so...terrible, to say the least. As for that raging brony, It's not going to help to just rage at a magazine, it's a piece of written lies...nobody cares about it, anyways. Yo Applejack... Y'alright? LightsCameraAction 100 March 29, 2013 Share March 29, 2013 That story about the gaming magazine criticizing Bronies really got to me, I'm not going to lie. I have only been a brony for about a month and a half now and I have heard of brony haters and stuff like that but this is the first real life example that I have seen. it bugs me that some people can be so mean just because they don't understand. Megas 27,974 March 29, 2013 Share March 29, 2013 Wasn't FiM being girly/frilly all they said? That's not necessarily something worth getting mad over, especially since it kinda true. Plus I've heard far worse from other major publications and etc. Honestly I don't think GI's that bad, sure a lot of their opinions kinda piss me off, but I still trust them more than the likes of IGN or Gamespot, whom I find to be even bigger jokes. That and they do acknowledge their brony community once in a while(which is fairly big over there)
The_One_And_Only_Punk_Pony 25 March 29, 2013 Share March 29, 2013 I stopped taking that crap magazine seriously when I saw Call of Duty getting better reviews than Battlefield. So stupid. I personally think barely any of their reviews are good. Unless I see that Forza Horizon gets a 10 or FIFA 13 getting a 9.5 then I'll consider the fact that they've actually played the game before http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/quincyquinn-r2898
3Dode 55 October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 It kinda is a girly show honestly, but who cares, whatever happens, happens. Look at this objectively.
cider float 2,539 October 29, 2015 Share October 29, 2015 (edited) As frilly as My Little Pony. I don't see the problem in that statement. My Little Pony is the go to term to say something is girly or frilly. The article did not say that to even refer to bronies or anything. The brony that responded to that took way too much offense to that for something that wasn't directed at him. Though this is sort of expected from a fandom that takes offense on someone saying something bad about their favorite pony or episode like someone said something bad about them.
