Haha the irony of the topic. Well played. I think zombies are here to stay. I can understand why you will see less, as too much of anything will cause most to get bored/sick of them.

You still have a bloody undead treasure trove to watch and re-watch still, right? :D

What gave you the idea is was dying out though?

I actually feel the opposite, there is a lot of good zombie related content that has been coming out lately, but I agree that there hasn't been good zombie movies in a while...

Nope, I was at a zombie film convention last weekend and the guy running it actually said that its the biggest turnout they've had (nearly 400 people), not bad for a little one that only gets word of mouth advertising really.

It is however becoming more underground again, and there are more international films coming out. A great one was Muralim (translates as poisoned) from Israel, nice little slapstick piece. Also Cockney's vs Zombies which was basically a British Zombieland.

Has there been any new zombie movies for the past 5 years or have I been under the rock for too long? I think the last zombie movies I watched were Zombieland and 28 months later.

Hahaha sorry to laugh but you gotta be kidding me.

Infact the zombie genre is still really big and now is the best time for zombies. There are so many zombie movies made in 2000-2012 I cant even count them.

A remake of Evil dead is coming.

DayZ

the War Z

RE6 (but let forget that )

the orange box 2 with L4D3 (soon)

CoD Zombies

The Walking Dead

World War Z

erm i don't thinks so if anything there are too many Zombies

I don't really like the concept of day z so I never gave it a try.I will never touch the CoD series or anything made by EA/activision/Ubisoft.

I think we'd all be dead by the time valve make anything with '3" on it.

Both movies and video games have stopped making zombie content and it's just such a shame if the genre were to die out.I have always enjoyed george A romero's movies as well as the 28 X later series.

If there is something that is here to stay for as long as movies and games exists, its Zombies.

There have been a ton of zombie movies and games the recent year.

Also bear in mind the recent release of ZombiU for the WiiU no idea if its any good, but if something like Nintendo is using zombies for one of their flagship titles that has to say something.

No. In fact the exact opposite is true. Zombies are more mainstream than ever, and have infected every aspect of popular culture.

Maybe they just aren't as fresh to you anymore. If that's the case, AMC's The Walking Dead would like to have a word with you. :)

I'm working on The Trotting Dead right now actually.

It may seem to be a fact that the concept of zombies is slowly becoming less, and less popular. But it is however a simple fact zombies are embedded in our lives, and history.

conclusion- Zombies will never go completely away, never.

I don't think it's dying at all. Zombies can't die, they're already dead. But seriously. There have been a lot of Zombie movies recently. In some ways, I think it's actually come back! Sure, there might not be as many zombie games or movies right now, but that doesn't mean the genre's dead. (No pun intended.)

I hope that the zombie Generation is not dying.. Cause its been a popular genre since 20th century.

There's a ton of zombie films, zombie games such as COD World at War/Blackops and Blackops2.

Left4dead.. ETC.

But sometimes even though a Genre has been around for so long, it can die out cause it gets boring... but i salute the zombie genre for even lasting for over a century.. it's crazy if you ask me.

Their working on 28 Months Later if I remember correctly. If there's one thing zombie I would love to see it would be Left for Dead 3.

That would be great... But VALVE Can't count to 3... :( I still waiting for Half Life 3, but apparently thats not gunna be happening for a longgg time

I have faith in Valve... they'll get to it eventually. And when they do it'll be a cracker I'm sure.

The thing about Zombies is they'll always be relevant and terrifying. Because unlike when a vampire gets you or a werewolf when you turn there is nothing left of you other than a walking shell.
