My Warhammer 40k Standard

I did this up as a proof of concept for what I want on my Standard Bearers standard for my Dark Angels Deathwing army. I hope to make many a heretic cower in its fearsome might!

If you manage to paint that onto one of those Space Marine standards I will be very impressed, I can barely paint the Cadian symbol onto those massive platoon banners for the IG!

I've played off and on since I was 13 (way too long...) and I'm finally getting serious about it. I'm rolling up some Dark Angels in anticipation for the new codex hopefully not sucking, and my primary subchapter is Deathwing right now.

 

I'm planning on using printable transfer sheets. Where I need to be wished luck is in using them, as I've never had much luck in doing so...

Yeah, good luck with those transfers. I cannot use them to safe my life which is why I started to learn how to do free hand painting rather than using the transfers.

Hmm that anwers my question from the other thread, but if I might suggest, maybe go for something similar to the existing Deathwing banner with Celestia replacingthe dying angel and Canterlot standing in for the lightning struck mountain.

Haha, that would possibly be the greatest biker squad in the entire Imperium! You know that you have to make it as either Rainbow Dash or Apple Jack, it just doesn't work for the other 4.

 

Great, I now what to go buy a Space Marine Librarian and paint it like Twilight...

I'm very happy for you and Ima let you finish, but Silverwisp is currently fielding one of the most magical C'tan shards of all time:

All wire and greenstuff too, so it it's tournament legal XD

 

Currently also thinking about painting my Ellysian Reavers as wonderbolts (might make for some cool Ravenwing bikers too).

Anyway, 40k -hoof all around.

I don't think that Twilight is Tournament Legal, though that it is completely awesome! I am only planning on coloring the bikes with the color scheme of the Mane 6, one of each, and painting Cutiemarks on them. I will make them tournament legal and devastate with them, spreading Friendship across the Imperium!

I fully intend to put up pics as I finished my Ponified models. I am getting my core army stuff taken care of right now before I have to go buy all the special colors to make this happen! Gimme a few months. XD

Honestly, I'm just excited to see if they fix Dark Angels with the new Codex or make them worse. They're in a weird place right now, especially with the 6th ED switch to more shooty armies. I LOVE shooty armies, but I also LOVE what a Deathwing Command Squad with Belial does when it brings down the Banhammer storm.

 

Also, why stop at twice on the button? Click it like an old person with a mouse on a frozen computer!

I kinda stopped playing just before 6th edition came out, which is a shame because I have the rule book and I really want to get back into it but I haven't got the time anymore.

 

I hope they do something good with Dark Angels, I wouldn't mind having some really unique rules for the Ravenwing.

Gotta keep them Marines broke as hell, right?! LOL It may help make shooty armies less insane, but guard is only one of them. I dunno, I need to finish up this army to I can start seriously playing...

Haha I doubt he will, Lasguns are barely worth being in the game as they are now, they're not going to make them any worse than they are.
