craft Warhammer 40,000 models

i do not know if these count as military models, but i cannot seem to find that thread, so i shall post them here, these are my first models for the tabletop game Warhammer 40k.

feel free to post your own if you have pictures of them

 

First is my chimera Armoured transport with dozer blade and hunter killer missile, (also known as the "thatssssss a nice land raider you have there, sssssshame if ssssomething happened to it.")

 

and next is my baneblade super heavy tank, (also known as the o fuk were dead tank)

Are you using a cannon regiment, fluff regiment or your own made up regiment? I don't know the IMPs so I can't recognize if it's a color scheme or not. It kinda looks like it's just been primered, but it has some naked pieces so it's hard to tell =,= enlighten me.

its my own regiment the 987th wolfsharks, their livery is red and black, the baneblade has yet to be painted, but....i kinda got overzealous and wanted to build the entire thing x3

It's really preference. For Me I preferred to primer finished soldiers, but for tanks I usually did in parts. Plus they sell primer as individual paint now. Are you an experienced model painter or did you just get into it :]?

i have experience with other models like planes and tanks of the real world, but not for warhammer, these are the first two ive built. but i found they have spraypaint primer, so ill just spray the baneblade with primer, then go through with a brush and get the red camo pattern, and then touch up the weapons and other things with the bolter grey and mabey touch up the treads with a muddy color to make it look used.

The problem I've found with spraying tanks is that they usually have so many crevices that usually don't get coated. I look forward to your finishing these.

Thanks ^^ i look jforward to finishing it, and in the case i do miss some spots, i can use a brush to touch up those spots

Looking real good, Midnight :3 I followed this topic so that if you were to make more Warhammer 40k models, or whatever, I'll be notified But it'd have to be in a new post, as notifications don't work with edits

and this is my commisar, he came with the baneblade so ive been painting him off and on, hope it looks okay

 

and the chimera is finished......yes its kinda bad, but its the first one ive tried to take time in painting.

don't play 40K much anymore, but here is some pictures I have handy

snotling army so far (each base will get an additional snotling or two after the 3 already on the base are painted, makes things easier)
