Ragnar, after introducing himself to the others who were interested in conversation, re-opened his book, and read.  He was beginning to become frustrated with the flight service, and desperately wanted to take off.  Besides, a wonderful resort was waiting for him.  "Is there a problem with the plane?" questioned Ragnar.  

 

(OOC:  OP, we're going to need to take off here.  It's been a while.)

Sapphire noticed the pony seated next to her pull out a book and begun to read. "Flight sure is quite delayed... Do you know why?" She asked Winter. 
Sapphire looked again out the window, she noticed some ponies by the engine of the plane, she assumed they were mechanics checking on the engine.

[Penguin 34]

He looks at her and observes the pony's physical appearance, after a while he shrugs, saying "I don't know, it's been 30 minutes." He looks at his watch, he sighs and continues reading his book. He closes his book at puts it back inside in his bag along with his earphones and music player and sits there waiting for departure.

Sapphire sighed. "Well, since it is free I guess I shouldn't complain, but really, the delays are quite long. I wonder why...." She said to Winter as he kept his things.

Sapphire went through her things checking everything was packed and ready.

'These delays are starting to get rather annoying.'

"True." He said while  putting his bag back up in the storage compartment. "So, how'd you get the ticket for this luxury getaway" he asks her while she checks her things. "Oh, how rude of me not to introduce myself, I'm Winter Chill by the way, you can just call me Winter." He tells her.

Sapphire found everything to be in order and put her bag down. "It was just given to me. Found it in the mail. I'm Sapphire Shine, feel free to call me Sapphire or Saph. Nice to meet you Winter." She replied to Winter. "I still feel like it's a bit odd that I got this, I didn't join any contest or apply, it was just given to me in the mail. Odder still is that I am not an important pony, just a regular middle ranking member of the royal guard. So, what about you? How did you get your ticket?"

"I just got mine from my old friend." he said, "He's getting married today, so he doesn't have plans of going to this luxury getaway. And it was only one ticket, plus this was his pay for the favor I did to him way before." He remembered all about that one day when he helped him get the mare of his dreams.

"Well that's nice, congratulations to you friend for getting married." Sapphire replied to Winter. She notices the way Winter sits and composes himself. 'A magic user.'

"So, from what I can see you seem to cast a lot of magic, and from your name and cutie mark I assume they are mostly frost spells."

[Penguin 34]

"Yep" He says in agreement. "You are correct, i am a magic user and I usually cast ice magic. And I'm assuming you're more of a fighter than a magic user since you're part of the Royal Guard of the Princess" he said. "You really have no clue on how you got the ticket, huh? Maybe one of your commanding officers gave you a break or something?" He asked as he offered his new found friend some muffins he packed for the trip.

Rose slid even lower in her seat. The ponies in the seat behind her were talking now, too. She just wanted the plane ride to start, so it would be done and over with just as soon. She groaned, and continued to play with her flower, which burst into blossom, and undulated and moved its individual petals as if it were alive.

A *ding dong* came out of the plane speaker followed by the voice of the pilot."Sorry for the delay every pony we will be taking off now." The flight attendant gave the usual flight safety instructions then went back to the flight attendant seats and closed the curtain. the plane turned onto the runway and took off. Rain sighed "Finally we're in the air."

"oh good, the planes taking off. Hopefully evrypony will be quiet so i can ENJOY the flight!" Bright Spark said, a little louder than he wanted to. Knowing somepony would look, he looked at the window. and all the fuel trucks and tow viechled going past the plane.

"Finally, we're in the air," muttered Ragnar under his breath.  He turned his attention to the window, and saw the airport, move by him at a faster and faster pace each second.  With each moment, Ragnar felt more at ease, ready to finally reach his special destination.  As the plane finally left the earth, Ragnar closed his eyes, and fell into a deep slumber.

As the plane took off, Diamond clung to her seat nervously. "Second safest way to travel, Second Safest way to travel." She thought, Reaching into her bag and pulling out her book. "It will all be over soon, We will land and I can sit on the beach with a nice cold drink."

Ace looked over at the mare who was clingling to her seat for dear life. "Hey are you ok?' Ace asked deciding to kill time. "You seem to not be enjoying this ride." Ace said really im not enjoying this but I just don't feel like flying that long distince. Ace thought.

About  three hours past after the plane took off when another*Ding Dong* came on over the intercom again followed by the captains voice."Just a heads up everypony we will be experiencing  some minor turbulence for a bit, so it may get a little bumpy." As if on cue the plane shook a bit. Rain having flown before buckled himself down and waited for the shaking stop. "Oh joy turbulence." He muttered to himself.

Rose looked out of the window with wide, almost fearful eyes. They were leaving the ground! Why did I have to sit next to the window? The flower she held, almost of its own accord, started fluctuating its petals faster and faster, much the same way as Rose's beating heart.

"Im just not used to big clunky planes... I would prefer just to fly by myself... with my wings... Not these metal ones." She said, Glancing out the window and the planes wings. "I just dont really like machines... They scare me, They are one of my only fears." She said, her voice slowly fading.

"Like Ah said before, ye'll be fine, lass.", Rambler told Diamond, "Besides, there's no sense in worrying about it. Even if the plane were goin' to crash, you can't do anything about it." 

 

Realizing that might not have been very reassuring, he added, "But it's not like it'll crash anyway..."

"turbulance?" bright spark looked worried. "of all the days a storm had to brew, it HAD to be on this trip!" Bright Spark sighed. he had let out his annoyance. there were theese conversationalists, who were presumably going to the same place he was, considering it was a private plane to the company. and now there was the turbulance.

just great.

The turbulence woke Ragnar from his sleep.  Startled, he clung onto his sight; almost trembling, and wishing it was a nightmare.  "Oh no!" thought Ragnar.  "What if Diamond really was right.  What if flying in a plane really isn't safe?".   He yelled out, to anyone that was listening, "W-w-what's happening?".  In distress, and rather tense, he sat there clutching whatever he could hold on to, anxious for a response.

"its just some turbulance. if theese pilots know what their doing, well get through this." he turned to the window "i hope." he said quietly. He didnt have much, or any trust in the crew on this plane. and he should know because he helped design the first plane.

Sapphire smiled. "When it comes to combat with the spear and dagger, I'm your mare. My magic is mostly energizing gems or stones to different effects. Gems are better conduits for the magic though." She replied as the plane took off. They remained silent for a while. The captain's warning about turbulence was heard and the plane occasionally bumped up and down. "Seems like we are in for a rough flight." She remarked. "Have you flown on these things before?"

 

 

"Really, after all that fix up time, there are still problems?" He said in disappointment. "Yes, I have went on one of these plans before going to Manehatton, where I visited my relatives most of the time." He takes a box of muffins out and takes a munch on one of them. "Want some?" He said while chewing the muffin inside his mouth.

"Of course I have hobbies" he chuckles, "I usually just stay at home and walk around Ponyville. I moved to Ponyville just 2 months ago, just so you know. I usually practice my magic with my other relatives, if they are in Ponyville or when I'm in Manehatton. How about you? What are your hobbies?"
