planning Pony D&D, anyone?

Just asking but for the humanized group, what languages should we take? Would be pretty good if we have a common language besides common. So as to talk among foes and what not.

 

Just asking, but how many feats should I start with?

 

Here's my character's Information. I'll update it as we go along.

 

Also, we should probably give the times when we are able to play. These are mine.

 

Till the 1st of 2nd of Feb. I'll be available at pretty much at time of the day. But after that, this is how it does. Times are EST.

 

Monday: 11:30pm to 09:00am

Tuesday: 4:45am to 09:00am

Wednesday: 11:30pm to 09:00am

Thursday: 11:30pm to 09:00am

Friday: 4:45am to 11:00am

Saturday: 7:45pm to 12:00pm

Sunday: Anytime

 

I changed it a bit to add general adventuring gear.

I'll try to get skype and my character figured out today. Just got home from work, have some errands to run, and then bed. So it won't be until later in the day if I find time.

 

If any of you who have played could toss me a message on here while I'm sleeping helping me on the character front that would be great. I know this won't apply ounce-for-ounce, but I normally play tanky classes in MMOs with healer as my backup. If I absolutely have to go DPS type I normally run petless necro or beastmaster/hunter/ranger. Basically if someone could let me know what class setups would fit best so I can focus on looking into them once I wake that would be great.

 

I'm down for playing in whichever version needs someone most, humanized or pony. In the end I wouldn't imagine this aspect to affect play much.

Classes I would recommend for tank/healer are paladin and maybe cleric. You will be doing the non-humanized game. If you want to coordinate classes with the other players, lensflare is probably going to be a fighter and zhinzo knows what he's going to be but hasn't told me, so you'd have to ask him.

Everything looks to be in order. You can roll your stats whenever you want, really. As far as magic, I will say that your instruments are enchanted specifically to give you the ability to cast spells. Ordinarily, a wakizashi is a masterwork shortsword, but as a starting weapon masterwork is too powerful so it would be a normal shortsword.

I'm busy getting my stats in order right now. I didn't know about the masterwork detail, so I have no problems with it being a normal shortsword.

 

By the by, what do I put for the racial modifiers?

I already answered your questions on skype, but for the record masterwork is a nonmagical +1 enhancement bonus that comes solely from the quality of an item's construction. All eastern weapons are masterwork for some reason.

I forgot to mention earlier, if you want, I can walk you through making a character. I'd prefer to do it over skype though, because it's much more efficient.

you'll need to add the rest of the non-humanized group on Skype. If you don't have Skype, you'll need to get it. I can help you make a character if necessary. When you're character is ready post it on here and I'll add you to the list. We're using 3.5e rules.

I'll give you a quick rundown.

 

Basically, a few things you should know:

• We're playing 3.5e.
• You don't have to be a veteren. Anybody's welcome,
• There are two groups. One humanized and one not.
• We are convening among skype. So it's recommended that you get it, so as to make play more efficient and easier.
• We haven't decided on a date/time to play, so it would be helpful if you post the times you are available.
• DM is Alex.  

That's about it. You don't have to play if this is too much for you, as everything is still in the works. But if you still want to play, I'd recommend making a character as soon as possible and posting your character sheet up on this thread.

 

This link should give you your basic information. The more exotic races aren't there, as well as other things (due to copyright laws) but that should give you what you need. If you need help making a character, Alex can help you over Skype.
