Recommended Posts

By Photo-Sharing, I mean website that you can easily upload pictures to, and get a picture link to it for posting on forums and such.

I use Tinypic, owned by Photobucket. Very quick and only takes one confirmation phrase before posting it.

What do you guys use?

I use Tinypic when I need to upload something temporary or unimportant and imgur for everything else except art which I upload to deviantart.

For posting here on mlpforums, I use either attachments or the gallery.

I tend to use Ponypic for all my image hosting needs, due to it's clean interface and lack of advertisement, eco-friendly web hosting, suport of all file formats, and small user-base (comparitve to other more recognised websites). And since it's pony related too.

I guess I'm like the only one who uses Photobucket still... I prefer it because it has my name in the URL (so people can know that THAT IS MY PICTURE) and I like the way it looks when it uploads.

EDIT: Envy keeps ninjaing me in topics and being the other one who does something I do.

Aether Velvet is the name of the OC in my avatar. Drawn by me.

Ponypic user #1 reporting in. Its interface and quick uploading time is tremendously convenient for sharing images quickly. Unfortunately, the Ponypic Uploader add-on is a tad buggy; it tends to work whenever it wants.

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best—" and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.

tinypic for quick things, such as a quick photoshop of the latest chapter in some manga I read to make fun of it, or a demotivational poster or image macro I made. For more involved things, photobucket. Also, photobucket for anything from my iPod, since the app is convenient.

Tinypic is REALLY bad.

You have no idea how many sites have banned tinypic from their site because of them deleting images within days of being uploaded, therefore ruining guides, etc.

Which is why I don't use it for anything beyond little things that I don't expect to be viewed for more than a few days.

Just a question, who is the generous good sir that hosts that site? It is such a convinience, and I don't see how they could make any profit off of it. I can't even find a donate button.

Ponypic, like MLP Forums, is a nonprofit service, and is hosted through an eco friendly web hosting provider known as Green Geeks. As for contributing to the website itself, while Ponypic has not requested for any public donations as of yet, you can contact the websites admin, and inquire about making a contribution from there; whether they accept donations or not, I'm sure they'd appreciate the goodwill.

Wow. This is what I'm using if I ever decide to host a website.
