Haha that's also how I've imagined Rainbow Dash when she's not tearing through the skies... maybe during the night, cruising through the cool air looking up at the sky, seems so peaceful

This picture reminds me of Mew... The art style distorts the shape, not judging just saying that's why it looks similar, and lazily drifting above a lake in the middle of nowhere seems like the sort of thing Mew would do.

 

Not at all how I personally picture Rainbow Dash ever though.

This is very brilliant.  It does give off a very comforting vibe and it's fairly well done ^^ I also would give anything to be able to see what the world is like from the skies.  I would love to be able to see the world from the eyes of the Pegasi.  <3 Must be lovely... much like this stunning piece of work!

Saw this on dA earlier, it's quite a lovely work. You can just tell the sense of harmony RD has with the sky. The whole world is in balance, she is in balance. And what better to do in such a situation than spread your wings and do what you do best?

 

I'm with Gone Airbourne, having a set of wings of one's own would be the ultimate gift from the heavens. They bring with them an intimate connection to the sky, more than an airplane can. Sure, we humans have taken to the skies, but have we truly flown?

The positioning of the hindlegs is a bit unfortunate and the tail could be a bit straighter, but these are minor nitpicks.

Ahh, how i wish to be able to fly... Every dream that i dream where i can fly, is probably the most refreshing and fun i could have. Especially when you're lucid dreaming. Oh, how i wish to fly...
