I'm sorry to say it's something like 1:5 most of that one have posted here.

Why should you be sorry? It's not like non-Christians are harmful; in fact, half of the people I meet here, I don't even know if they are Christian or not.

No, not harmful, it just personally filled me with sadness to see a poll taken long ago with many faiths listed on it and "atheist" outstripped them all by a lot. Just wish the diversity of faiths and faith vs. non-faith was a little more even is all.

I see. But, given the MLP demographic, I understand the large amount of non-faith bronies. I don't really want to go into a analysis of the demographic right now, but I'll just say that I wouldn't be surprised at the athiest population numbers.

@@Steel Accord, So, are you a Christian? I presume you are, given how you've talked about things in the last few posts. What "style" of Christian are you?

Well given that I'm posting here, it would be logical to assume I am. Before I answer, why do you wish to know ?

Errr...you could be a well-educated skeptic, or something along those lines. However, given the title of the thread, I should have known with more certainty. Why do I wish to know? I'm curious. I'm using a conversation starter. I'm instigating thought. By the way, I wasn't meaning preachy/quiet, I was meaning catholic/orthodox/baptist/wierd cult/et cetera type stuff.

Well I do consider myself well educated as I am only so far from graduation, but a skeptic? Nooooooooooo, I'm an idealist to the bone!

No I know what you meant by "style" I was just wondering why you asked. Although I confess, I've never heard another Christian use that terminology so I suspect you aren't one, if that's not the case, my bad.

To answer your question I'm a syncretic/ecumenical Catholic.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Sorry. I don't understand.

I have to go look up those foot-long words. :okiedokielokie:  -_-

I am not going to spend an hour trying to understand the various catholic sects and churches. I did that with orthodox a while back, but I don't feel like doing that now. ^_^ For your information, I would be called a protestant, but I do not identify with the big-brand "churches" nor ultra-conservitive guys; rather, I discover theology and build my own foundation.

No I'm sorry for confusing you.

What can I explain better?

I don't understand what your sentence meant, grammar-wise. What does the word "one" refer to? Christian?

Fair enough.

Yes, but as you said, you are a Protestant so I was wrong, again, my bad.

To explain a little more plainly though:

Ecumenicism: Is the belief in common Christianity. That the theological and spiritual similarities are more important than the organizational differences.

Syncretism: Is the above but a step further. Syncretism is the amalgamation of different religions or schools of thought.

Then, what makes you a catholic as opposed to a non-organizational/denominational/etc.? Majority of your thinking aligns with Catholicism?

Well mainly because I still practice as one. I go to Mass on Sunday, I donate to charity (not that that's unique to us mind you), I believe in the Virgin birth, I acknowledge the Pope's spiritual authority (while also being taught it's my job as a Catholic to call him and the clergy out when they screw up), etc.

I hate Kingdom Hearts.

ANYWAY, Judge Rotenburg Center. Pray for those trapped within its walls.

I'll definitely keep them in my prayers. Just hearing some of the things that go on there is disgusting.

I do like Narnia! The Last Battle is unfortunately my least favourite book in the series (too heavy handed and a bit rushed), but I love that scene.

I disagree though ^^. I think it was one of the three best books of the series, it was a really good ending to the series i felt. Although it was also a little sad too at the closure to the ending of the book, it also had some metaphorical stuff in it, in terms of the end of the world etc ^^

Wonderful series in my view ^^

1st book: The Magician's Nephew

2nd book: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Final book: The Last Battle

I've always thought that The Silver chair was the best narnia book. Making me want to read the entire series again...

I am Christian too.  But I am more liberal than most.  I'm not really into the whole against gays things.

Most of us here aren't actually. Have anything against gays I mean.
