4 Page poem that randomly came to me before my xmas vacation

I didn't proofread or spell check or anything, btw it was kinda sporatic and was supposed to be just a few lines of writing lol, well here goes:

 

Part 1: Alice's Love

There was a girl named Alice.

She lived in a great big palace.

 

Every day she would go pick a flower.

Always bringing them at sunset minus an hour.

 

To her dearly beloved, a tree.

A curse from which he'll never be free.

 

She promised to him that every day,

She would never change her way.

 

The tree stood here, it never moved.

Years went by and she kept her word.

She never faltered as her love was true.

But 'though she aged, the tree never grew.

 

The tree stayed young, eternal and pure.

Yet Alice passed away, young and premature.

The tree never saw the cause or why.

He called to her for years, but no-one heard his cries.

 

Five years later, a child had appeared.

Bringing him a flower much to his surprise.

"Mother said in a note, to give this to you.

She failed you, so I never will too."

 

The tree knew not, the origin of this girl,

But accepted her kindness, smiles, and gift.

And just like Alice, the promise was kept.

Every night she'd come, carrying flower in hand.

 

Part 2: Sorceress's Desire

 

You never notice me.

One day you'll learn,

You'll learn when she dies.

 

I am the one,

Who keeps you alive.

Watering this tree, It is no fun.

Everyday just like she, who will bring your misery.

 

Now she has died.

Soon you will see,

That you can only have me.

 

Now, quite entertaining,

Is this child standing before you.

For I know in my heart, she'll fail you too.

 

She is one of Alice's kin.

From a father who isn't you.

One day you'll notice me.

You will notice me.

 

The truth was then told about the girl,

But the tree did not listen.

"She will keep her promise, loyal and true.

Just as her mother, we will fool you."

 

The Sorceress witch knew many tricks.

She has not needed them since long ago,

For he is a tree, no more a man.

Yet with her magic she would keep a promise of her own.

 

"You loved me once, but turned to her.

I warned of fickleness, to you I did address.

You didn't listen so I shall repeat.

She'll carry some else's seed and as a tree you will pay,

for her love was never true, to me nor you."

 

Part 3:  Tree's Rage

 

The girl is now older,

She is nearing seventeen.

It has been days since the last time she has been seen.

 

Tree is still there, youthful and alone.

This day was one that began tree's hurt the most.

 

The girl had come, this time not alone.

She brought now a boy, with flowers in his hand.

They came then they left, the tree had felt banned.

 

This happened again, at least once a week.

The boy stealing the tree's attention and love.

 

The tree grew tired of watching them play.

"You go elsewhere, I don't want to see you today."

The girl and boy fled, from the unfriendly tree.

 

Now they play by the tree.

And the sorceress still waters him, chuckling away.

 

First came the hurt, then the deep sorrow.

It twisted and turned, Tree's heart became hollow.

The flames of his hate changed the tree's image.

Hate spread to the ground, to the trees, and changed the whole forest.

 

Animals turned rabid, vines soon conquered houses.

Towns surrounding became smaller over time.

The girl and the boy fled soon after,

but now they too have passed away.

Even the sorceress fled, but now hiding in sadness.

 

The tree's hate spread wide.

The tree's hate spread far.

Three towns were lost in these fires of hate.

It has been many years and not a single flower grew

In this dark forest of madness.

 

Part 4:  The People's Curing Fire

 

Sorceress:

"I have come to fix my own mistake,

And also to prove yours.

You destroyed everything from here to the lake."

Tree:

"I care not for humankind now.

This is my revenge to you and to Alice.

I'm now a monster and can never turn back."

Sorceress:

"You are mistaken, and this hatred is folly.

Come be with me, my true name is Holly.

I have always loved you, since so long ago."

Tree:

"You are the witch who brought this upon me.

I am no bird, you just bring me poison.

So leave me or die, I shall invoke my wrath!"

Sorceress/Holly:

"I offer you peace, yet you continue this war.

Your enemies are gone, or soon will be.

I cannot save you, you fiend, you cur!"

 

And so Holly left, to let the tree burn.

'Cause the forest ran to wild, and people were upset.

They were going to purge the evils that took many of kin.

And they will turn his hate to ash,

To start the forest anew.

 

 

 

(Note- some of it was edited a little since I wrote it on paper cause it didn't sound as good in my opinion )

I have to say I did like all these poems. Yes they need a little fixing but I still liked them. I felt like I was reading a story. 

 

I felt so bad for this tree. All the tree wanted was attention and he just couldn't get it. 

 

This would make an entertaining story. I say give it a shot.

I never thought of making a full out story of it lol that would be quite interesting    Maybe somehow adapt it to ponies?    hmmm I'll think bouts it    (I already have one story I need to finish and two others I want to start >.< so we'll see   )

This can easily be put into the land of Equestria if you wanted. Just make all your characters ponies and put this living tree into the Everfree forest. 

 

Also take your time, rushing stories never works out.

yeah I know how that is >.< and i'm already gettin a few ideas bout it hopefully, I'll be able to set aside time to continue workin on my current story though (I've just been distracted with SO many other things it's crazy   ) lol
