Quip laughed and shook his head, "Actually, I threw a party for my own arrival! Pinkie agreed to letting me do it myself. Although she made most of the food" he said before walking towards the water edge. "Wanna join me? A good swim might do me good, and everyone else is doing it. My mom always told me, if everyone is enjoying the party, it better be your own party" he said before jumping into the water.@,

Hop listened as Draco talked. She knew he was the best courier, and he was the only courier she has ever hired to get her stuff. When he mentioned the fire her heart sank a little. "Yeah I remember that story. What about it?" she asked, her voice soft and silky.

Draco smiled "I feel alone all the time Little Hop," Draco said as he looked at the fountain "I'm always alone but you always seem to bring me back from my depression don't you Little Hop," Draco whispered into her ear gentlely as he looked into her eyes with a gentleness.

Styles smiled as greeting and names were exchanged. He noted the way the two mares acted towards each other but didn't mention it, He didn't see the need to pry into other's lives. 

 

As the two mares left Styles turned to Ace, a glint in his eye as he challenged the other stallion "What do you say, First one to the far side of the pond and back gets the first dance with our lovely hostess?"

Star smiled at Rockshire. She looked into her beautiful sparkling eyes then asked. "Um...Rockshire...Would you mind joining me in a walk over to the gazebo...Over there." She pointed at a small Gazebo made out of sand sitting next to the lake at the end of the beach.

 

(OOC: Its doing that thing where it says I have 206 characters but when I try to post it says I only have 185...ITS ANNOYING.)

((OOC: I've actually had a few problems like that on my phone. Really irritating.))

 

Rockshire looked back Star, smiling. "I wouldn't mind it in the slightest but whatsoever.", she proclaimed as they both swam back towards the shore, and entering the sand gazebo.

Cascade felt suddenly, almost baselessly awkward around the other two mares, although she could not decide exactly why... She sighed inwardly with relief when they left. They seemed almost too absorbed in each other to have even noticed her arrival. 

 

"So..." Cascade had turned to the two stallions she remained in the water with, and was rather at a loss of what to say for once.

Star sat down on part of the bench in the gazebo. *Oh great...Now what do I say.* She blushed at Rockshire and gulped.

"Soooo...How are you liking the party so far ?" She asked. *Oh...That was a great question...You couldn't be just a little more creative could you ?* She thought.

"Well, considering that I mainly came came to this party to avoid work and just hang out with new people instead of doing very random critiques or anything, I'm having a great time!", she said while taking in a breath. That was a mouthful...

"Depends on what  I'm trying to say my dear," Draco whispered into her ear. He began to smile as she was blushing. Draco chuckled as he eyed her flank discretely "You know if you ever feel like venting I'll listen," Draco said with a serious look in his eyes. He cared for her aye but he didn't know how far though.

"Im happy to hear that." She smiled and scooted down the bench so Rockshire could sit.

"So...well." She blushed and looked down at her hooves. *Ugh...I wish I could just come up with something to say...I don't want Rockshire to not like me...But now what do I say ?* She thought, tapping her hooves on the floor of the gazebo.

She looked back into Rockshires eyes. *I...I think I.* She stayed silent, Still staring deeply into her eyes. After a second she said. "Rockshire..." She found herself slowly leaning closer to the mare.

"Mmhhmhn... It's what I was 'cursed' with.", Rockshire said with a bit of a laugh at the end.

 

All of a sudden she saw Star closing her eyes, and leaning towards her. She couldn't help but feel the same way... She started leaning closer, her eyes shutting, their lips near touching.

"Heheh That's cousin Pinkie for ya all right, no matter who comes she always wants to make others feel welcome." Peachy giggled before seeing Quip go to the water edge inviting her to join him and the others for a swim. "Ah don't see why not." She said taking off her hat and putting it down in a memorable location. She rarely takes off her hat but since she was going to swim she didn't want it soaked. "Here ah come!" She yelled before running towards the lake. At the edge of the water she jumped. "Geronimo!!" Peachy yelled before performing a canon ball like dive into the water splashing the water everywhere. Moments later she resurfaced revealing her wet mane. "Heh mighty sorry bout that ah think ah got a bit carried away there." She apologized.

"I DONT need a stallion!" she said pulling away from Draco, "And no... im not alright. I... *sigh* I need time to think. Im sorry." she said backing away slowly then turning and running through one of the random doors. She didn't care where she went, well except that she didn't go to the dance floor, but she didn't want to give Draco false feelings. She looked around and found herself outside. It was beautiful. The whole place just look magnificent! Hop began to walk around taking in the view to get her mind off Draco, yet it nagged her in the back of her head.

Stars heart beat quickly and her wings fluttered as their lips met. *...Yay...* She thought, putting her arms around Rockshire, Not ever wanting to let go. *I was always looking for a colt...But I got a mare.* She thought, stroking Rockshire's orange mane.

(Wet mane... your really try hard aren't you?) Quip smiled and shrugged, "Doesn't bother me" he said before noticing her mane, it seemed... longer than before, but it was hard to be sure since she was wearing a hat before. "Do they heat this lake or something? Its warm" he mentioned. The water shouldn't be this warm just under the sun.

Draco sighed as he looked into the fountain. He stood up and started to walk outside. "I think she needs is some pony to love her," he muttered to himself as he looked at the sky. As he walked he saw two mares holding onto eachother. He smiled sadly. "She must have found her goddess," He whispered slightly as he came to the door that lead to the outside.

Hop strolled a while and after a while found herself at a pond where a few others were at. She ignored them and went to the ponds edge and dipped her forehoof in it, feeling the warmth of the water. Her whole day melted away in the pond as she moved her hoof back and forth watching the ripples on the water as they spread out further away from her.

"The water feels mighty fine if ya ask me." Peachy said smiling. "Maybe ya should ask Cascade when ya see her." she giggled as she splashed some water on Quip. "Gotcha!" She said before splashing more waves at him. She was having fun with the stallion....more fun than she had in years. "Whew-y you were right Mr.Quip ....Ah'm really enjoying mahself. Why ah cant even remember when ah had this much fun."

Quip laughed as he tried to block the incoming waves. "Just call me Quip, no need for the whole formal 'mister' thing" he said before splashing water back at her, keeping his face away from the still incoming waves. "And I believe the proper expression is; YOUR GOING DOWN" he said before attempting to jump on top of her and send her underwater.

 

(Okay, but that whole 'Your going down' pun wasn't actually intended. I didn't notice it at first)

"Well... that was inevitable. It seems that every social occasion turns into a couples fest. I have no place here."

 

Star hadn't had much previous success at these kind of events. I fact I can't think of one example where he came out the better. Unlucky bastard. Well, he lagged inside, wandering around and occasionally stopping to snack on something small. He was getting quite bored. He wandered outside to see all the other ponies playing in the surf, sitting down on a chair, and just watched.

 

"Maybe it would be better if I just didn't get involved. No pain to be had there."

Aarod got into the free chair next to her. "Think I'll just sit right here for awhile then." He said, smiling. "You know, I've been here for who knows how long now, and I have yet to meet the hostess, or even see if I remember correctly. I've spent almost all my time in the ballroom, our hostess chose a good DJ, so I barely know any of the ponies out here."
