Episodes that develop other episodes

So has anyone watched an episode of MLP and were like, This episode kinda add's to this episode? Let me explain. In the episode, Hearths Warming Eve, at the end we learn that the 3 pony tribes united together in harmony. Then only two episodes later we would be given the episode, Baby Cakes. In this episode, Carrot Cake tells us that he has a unicorn on his side of the family and Cup Cake has a pegasus on her side of the family. So both episodes show that not only did the 3 tribes unite, but the ponies of the other tribes begin forming mixed families with one another. I'm surprised no one else has brought that up.

 

So what does everyone think of this and has anyone see this in other episodes?

Applebuck Season - > Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000: Moral of the 1st directly ties in with the "moral" of the second. 

Cutie Mark Chronicles -> Hurricane Fluttershy: A must to understand the relationship between RD and Fluttershy depicted in Hurricane Fluttershy. 

Dragon Quest -> Spike At Your Service: Spike having this strange code makes a lot more sense once you look at it from the perspective of him wanting to differentiate himself from the "uncivilized" dragons. 

All the previous 2 Parters -> The Crystal Empire: The entire idea is that, while Twilight has faced threats in the past, she wasn't prepared for this one.

Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 -> Apple Family Reunion: That's why Applejack appended her letter in the latter with "your humble subject".

Mare in the Moon -> The Return Of Harmony

 

There is a reference to the very first episode of FIM in season two's premiere. It was truly spectacular the way that Twilight was able to figure out that she herself was the mysterious sixth element, and due to her diligence and faith in her friends, she and her newly-found friends were able to return Princess Luna back to normal. It was a milestone not in Twilight's life but for Luna's as well. She now knew what friends were and just how powerful it could be, but what happened if it were to be threatened by the misbehaving of the very own pals who bring you joy on a constant basis? It was one thing to have a friendship. But to maintain and develop it, sticking through thick and thin with your pals is no easy task, and it expanded on the first episode's lesson very well.

Possibly Sonic Rainboom> Wonderbolt Academy, because the former showed the development of Rainbow's flying abilities and probably the first time she got the Wonderbolts' attention (saving their lives with a flying technique that didn't exist outside myth has a habit of doing that)

 

Sisterhooves Social>Sleepless in Ponyville, mostly because it established Rarity and Sweetie Belle's sisterhood dynamic, and how they're willing to put up with a lot for each other.

"Friendship is Magic Episode 2" And "Dragonshy"(Its mentioned about Fluttershy standing up to the manticore in the first episode in dragonshy.)

"Feeling Pinkie Keen" And "Its about Time"(Pinkie sense mentioned in both)

"Ticket master" and "Suited for Success"(Rarity's making the dresses for the gala)

"Suited for Success" And "The Best Night Ever"(Rarity's Dresses she made are the exact same ones they end up wearing to the gala.)

I could probably name a few more, but I'm going to stop here . It all depends on how subtle they are, but there is surprisingly a pretty decent amount.

Bridle Gossip -> Return of Harmony, because it showed how, even when the Mane 6 are their exact opposites. They can still work together, to return to their normal Elements of Harmony (so to speak).

Also if you look at episode 1 of Friendship is Magic and Dragonshy. In episode 1, Fluttershy show's that she is not afraid of Spike. Pinkie Pie then ask her about it and Fluttershy says, because he's not scary.

Hearth's Warming Eve -> Family Appreciation Day I think these episodes were ordered right next to each other on purpose. Hearth's Warming Eve tells the story of how Equestria was founded, and Family Appreciation Day tells the story of how Ponyville was founded.
