Goldseek put his hoof around Diamond's shoulder, hoping she wouldn't mind. It was rare that he ever told anypony about his family, and even then hardly any of the ponies understood. "I'm sorry." He said in a tone his mother had used before she was taken. This mare had just shown up a few minutes ago, and she was already one of the most trustworthy ponies he had met.

At first, Diamond felt a little uncomfortable with Goldseek's hoof around her. But then, She kinda liked it. She felt comforted with Goldseek next to her. "You're a nice pony, Goldseek." She said, Smiling at him then looking back down at the ground, Where a small vine was slowly creeping towards them.

Goldseek blushed at the compliment, which was unlike him. "Thanks. You nice, too."  He looked at the purple unicorn. She really was beautiful. He hoped she felt the same as he did.

There was a distinct look of shock on Dusk's face now "You've never been hugged before? I...you're welcome!" then the look of shock became a huge smile that would rival that of a child with their favourite pet for the first time - mixed with a look that was somewhat representative of pride. He couldn't understand it "I don't...well...um, uh, hmm" he felt the back of his neck become hot with embarrassment "well...how about a proper hug then?" and upon hearing himself speak these words, he mentally face-hoofed. You didn't seriously just say that did you? 

Star Rain blinked a couple times in great shock, but found it strangely humorous. And she was very tempted to say yes. She was successfully resisting it though. She faintly knew that relationships should start off slow, and that was why she decided to resist the temptation to say yes. "How about we go get something to eat?" she asked, getting REALLY hungry now.

"We're going aren't we?" He chuckled, turning and continuing down the path "lets just follow the flowers shall we? They seem to know their way around here better than us, oh, and I need to talk to Evergreen still...if she's not too busy by now..." he reminded himself as they rounded a corner and saw the food on the table, looking very inviting. He noticed 2 ponies there already, who seemed very into each other and the food, but he still sunk back around the corner with a nervous look on his face, hoping they didn't notice him.

Silver watched Leaf, not knowing what to say. She felt her heart beat faster every time she glanced at him. She wandered a little to see what else there to eat and found some rose salad, and sweet rolls. " hmmm" she thought " I wonder if he feels the same about me, but I'm scared to ask him"

Dusk had apparently caught the attention of the two ponies already there. 

"Oh I" he looked around nervously, he had gotten used to being around Star, and all of a sudden he was near two other ponies who he hadn't met before, he suddenly remembered why he was so terrified of meeting new ponies. "I didn't mean to interrupt, i'll just...um...i'm not hungry anyway" he began backing out, bumping into Star as he did.

Dusk had apparently caught the attention of the two ponies already there.

"Oh I" he looked around nervously, he had gotten used to being around Star, and all of a sudden he was near two other ponies who he hadn't met before, he suddenly remembered why he was so terrified of meeting new ponies. "I didn't mean to interrupt, i'll just...um...i'm not hungry anyway" he began backing out, bumping into Star as he did.

Star Rain levitated two apples and a cupcake over to where she was standing. She accidentally dropped them when Dusk bumped into her. She was surprised at his reaction toward the pair who happened to have noticed them. She had forgotten about his fear of ponies around him, Star Rain herself being the only exception she knows of. "Dusk, what's wrong?" she asked, levitating their food off of the ground and submerging the apples in her water orb spell, which caused some flowers around them to open up because some of them were sensitive to the presence of unicorn magic.

When Star spoke to him, he seemed to calm down immediately. He stopped still and looked at her, ignoring the other two ponies nearby "N-nothing..." Dusk hesitated "I'm just...n-not hungry" he lied as he stood bolt still where he was, his eyes fixed on hers. He realised her horn was glowing, and upon seeing the food engulfed in magic, his ears stuck down on his head. "Oh no, i'm sorry Star, if i'd known you where there..."

Silver saw Leaf turn around, she lifted her head and saw the two new ponies. Her breath caught in her throat but then she relaxed, these new ponies were just as scared of her then she was of them. She scooted towards Leaf a bit waiting for these new ponies to approach.

"It's ok. It happened to me loads of times, but at least your's was on accident for real," Star Rain reassured Dusk. She let the water orb drop to the ground, leaving two apples there floating and surrounded by a cyan aura. She levitated one of the apples over to Dusk. "Here, want an apple? Dusk hesitated, calming himself down. 'Star is still here, you'll be fine' he kept telling himself. He made a short smile, and took the apple in his mouth, stepping closer to Star as he did so, for comfort and familiarity. "Thanks for the apple" he said quietly, taking a small bite. And that's when it hit him. Despite the fact he'd been with her all night now, he didn't quite realise just how comfy Star made him. He was initially too scared of these strangers to even stay in the same area as them, but when he remembered Star was there...he was still a little scared, but he actually managed to stay around. 

 

He also noticed the two ponies seem to be closing together too, and he asked Star quietly "Do you want to talk to them? Or should we just leave in case we're interrupting?" He didn't want to be rude and ignore them, but he didn't want to be ignorant and butt in either.

Diamond smiled at him then looked at the hedge across from the bench they were sitting on. She remained silent for a moment, Trying to think of something to say. When nothing came to mind, She blushed and tapped her front hooves against the stone bench.

Scamps smiled, entwining her tail around his. She then lead him over to the banquet table, or at least, she tried. "Um....do you happen to know wher ethe food is, exactly? Because, I'm lost." She said. She looked around at all of the plants and hedges, hoping she hadn't gotten them into the maze. "I mean...I could always fly up to see, but I'm not sure how big this garden is,.nor what direction I should look in."

 

"Uh... I... I can't remember...", Somber said, as he looked a bit worried. There were hedges all around him, and he couldn't see past anything.

 

"I could also fly up, but considering this is Evergreen's garden.... Something tells me that her plants might get a little TOO hyper.."

His eyes quickly darted back and forth between the two ponies already here and Star, then back again. Seeing Stars gesture for him to follow, he swallowed, but quickly sprung into a trot to catch up to her. "Alright then" he said as he caught up to her, not looking quite so nervous anymore. As they approached the other ponies, he quickly took a bite of his apple, giving him an excuse not to make the first speech.

Star Rain saw that Dusk was following her, and resumed a normal walking speed. She approached the pair and said,"Hello." She then noticed that Dusk's mouth was full. Yippy, I have to do all of the talking... "My name is Star Rain and this is Dusk. Who are you?" she asked.

He quickly swallowed his apple, almost choking as he did - "S-sorry about that, I- m-my name's Creeping Dusk, b-but you can call me Dusk, if you like" he stammered quietly while slowly offering his hoof to the colt infront of him.

Scamps pondered about what Somber said, then sat back down. "We could always stay here," she replied. "Just youand me for the rest of the night. Or we could go on an adventure to get out of here. Whichever you like." She smiled gently, enjoying Somber's company. He made her feel relaxed, just his presence.

Dusk lowered his hoof again, seeing as the other pony seemed disinterested in a formal greeting. He took a step back, with a nervous look on his face again - "O-kay...guess not" he said quietly, looking at Star confused. "Sorry, I-I just felt bad for making you do the talking...that's all"

The rose had no thorns, and had a beautiful scent. He never found out what kind of rose it was, just that it was special.

Diamond smiled at Goldseek as he placed the rose in her hoof. "I...Thank you. Its beautiful." She said, Holding the rose up to her nose. "What kind of rose is it exactly ? I have never seen anything like it before...Its so pretty." She smiled again and placed the rose behind her ear.
