Well, actually, cars come from Earth, not in Equestria (although Vehiculia do have them, however, which is an alternate dimension of Equestria). :P

The whole alternate-dimension thing screws with my head a bit.

How could I get into the Star Swirl Higher Education Centre? Is there an age limit?

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was akin to a slow death. There's no age limit, strictly speaking, but we normally only accept ponies who have at least completed a year of secondary education. However, if you don't yet have any qualifications in your choice of subject you can still sign up for the EFLC (Equestrian Foundation Level Certificate) course, which is a one-year course, covering entry-level topics (The stuff you learn in high school). If you complete that, or if you already have an EFLC or equivalent, you can continue on to do the EL2C and EL3C courses (Equestrian Level 2 and Level 3 Certificates). EL2C is another 1-year course, covering more applied topics (College level stuff). If you complete that you can then choose to go on to an EL3C course. EL3C is more complicated. It's a 2-year full-time course, part of which is an independent coursework assignment. EL3Cs are REALLY highly regarded by employers, and if you have a high grade it pretty much assures you a job in Equine Biology.

Students can choose up to 5 topics for EFLC and EL2C, and one for EL3C.

Still interested? We have an open event in about 2 weeks, if you'd like to drop by and have a look at what the Centre has to offer.

Square root of -1?

Don't ask me, I'm the Biology teacher.

Hold on a second, if biology is about living things and nature, where'd your name come from?

My family isn't exactly a long line of Biology teachers, in fact all of my family have variable talents, and I just so happened to be very good at Biology at school.

My dad was the one who named me Cyber. He's a total technology nerd and he always used to try to teach me about all those different types of code.

While I may be a Biology teacher, I do know a bit about maths, and that makes no sense whatsoever. Thus, I'm not going to attempt to answer it.

Boo you. :P

I bet you don't know the answer.

Obviously, it's 42.

Well, if you'd asked me the answer to life, the universe and everything, I WOULD have produced that answer. And I may not be a maths teacher but I don't know anything about square rooting objects. If you'd given me the pie's area, diameter or any value relating to the pie, I MIGHT have been able to answer your question, but since you haven't given me any values, I can't.

Ok... And now Biology.

If a pegasus and a unicorn, both homozygous for their species, had a foal, what would it's species be?

This is actually a whole separate module in EL3C Equine Biology, and it'd take me too much time to explain.

(OOC: I have no idea if it's Pegasus or Unicorn that would be the dominant allele. And throwing Earth Ponies into the equation would just complicate things even further. If you REALLY want an answer, drop me a line and we can ponder over it mutually.)

Are alicorns an example of co-dominance?

Yes. But it is very rare.

So, tell me, Cyber, what do you prefer to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

I usually have to have a light breakfast due to my occupation, normally just some toast or a pop-tart, but on my days off I normally don't eat breakfast.

Most days, lunch is what the college's cafeteria has (My personal favourite is the Thai curry), and on my days off I'll cook for myself.

Dinner's quite variable. I try to do something different every day, but if I have to work late I sometimes get a take-out. I don't really have a favourite recipe, I'm quite good at cooking. I'm not exactly a top chef at Le Très Cher, but I'm quite good.

Well... *blush* Are the ponies and draconequus...hm... biologically compatibles? *blush even more*

Sorry to rain on your parade but it'd be quite difficult for a pony to copulate with a draconequus... and if it were to happen it probably wouldn't "work", since ponies and draconequui are different species.
