Friendships in the real world don't work out like the friendship of the Mane 6. Why? First of all, the ponies have qualities that most people don't.

 

1. They are honest to a fault

2. They're all very forgiving

3. They try their best to make things work--they never give up on each other

 

But I realized there's something more to it: MAGIC--the 6th and most elusive Element of Harmony.

 

I hereby theorize that the creators/writers of this show, knowing that friendships could never run this smoothly in the real world, threw in magic to sober us of the fact that--just like magic--a perfect friendship is just about impossible to find.

 

Call me a cynic, but honestly...do you have a friendship with 5 others that has run completely smoothly despite fights or certain people having problems with each other? No grudges or anything? If you do--please share your secret with me. If not...I find the only explanation to be magic. What do you all think?

sigh..... friendship= magic, i think the show writers make that case very very clear. also it is a cartoon show that can be used to teach the values of friendship to a much younger audience 

 

also yes i have allot more then 5 friend who i have fought and argued with over the years but am still good friends with dispite those things

I guess I'm just an optimist who thinks everything should go great, and tries to see the bright side of everything, as I have 6 best friends and in all honesty I actually never have fought with them, as they are quite impossible to get mad at.

The creators or anyone in the show has EVER said friendship was all sunshine lollipops and rainbows.

Tons of humans have very good relationships with their friends, and there are a lot of loyal, kind, and honest spirits out there.

Friendship can be hard, but everyone can pull through it and make their friendships better.
