How could I choose just one?! Fine, if I had to pick one it would be My Neighbour Totoro! I watched it when I was young, and still adore it to this day. Just a wonderful film, but so are the others so to decide one would be a sin.

Spirited away is my favourite ghibli movie, but...where is Only Yesterday (Omohide Poro Poro)? . It's Takahata masterpiece with Grave of the Fireflies and my second ghibli favourite (and I have seen them all, including "Ocean Waves", which was made for japanese television).

Others that I really love are: Nausicaa, Totoro, Whisper of the Heart, Porco Rosso. But everything made by Studio Ghibli is awesome, except from Goro's movies and some minor works, which are simply good.I don't like Howl's Moving Castle, but that is only a matter of taste.

What about the upcoming movies, "Kaze Tachinu" by Miyazaki and "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari" by Takahata? I can't wait!

P.S. I must confess that I am more a ghibli fan than a pony fan.

"Mononoke Hime", for story line and epicness but "The Voyage of Chihiro" for character. Ashitaka's story is epic, but he is after all a warrior and well prepared for what he faces. Chihiro is a ten year old girl, and what she has to face is far beyond her prior experiences, so she gets my vote in that respect.

"Porco Rosso" captured my imagination the most, however. So yeah, "Porco Rosso" wins. Somehow.

I CAN'T DECIDE!!!!

They are all so good!   If I had to make a "list" I think the relationship oriented ones (such as Whisper of the Heart, Only Yesterday, Up from Poppy Hill) would be at the bottom of the list.  Grave of Fireflies is so frickin sad that I can't even watch it (but I know the story), so I don't even know how to place that one...
All the kid friendly ones are pretty much even with each other(Kiki's delivery Service, Ponyo, Totoro, Cat Returns, etc).

The "heavier" ones are also all even with each other as well (Earthsea, Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, etc)

Well upon this reflection, I will say Pom Poko is probably my favorite-est.  But all the kid ones I love as well, but Pom Poko touches on things that really resonate with me, and the Japanese lore included in this film is amazing! My second would be Castle in the Sky. I love Myazaki's flying fascination coming to life in this film, and it's steampunk-ish in my book.

My husband's favorite is Nausicaa, and that was first movie we watched together.

There are only a few I remember seeing entirely, which are The Cat Returns, Pom Poko and Kiki's Delivery Service. Out of those, I think I would have to go with Pom Poko.

Also, you forgot to put "Only Yesterday" in the poll. Thought I should point that out.
