You're not the only die hard soul Eater fan

I loved that anime so much

I finished watching the whole series in one week

Since I couldn't stop watching it

I've placed it at #2 on my Top 10 anime list

i agree with all the points Floris said in his spoiler i just hope it gets better and not worst -_-

I think star driver was on i didn't like too much at first glance, it was just an anime mixed with cheesyness, high school slice of life and giant robots. but i think after you start to look a little deep it starts to become more then that.

honestly it down to personal taste and i love anime I can dig into, can't say much more with out deconstructing it for people which ruins the fun of it, just look deeper into the charactors (there tropes match there hair) the motivations and understand the Glittering Star and there true plans.

I'm currently following Kotoura-san, I really like it because of the (some) original characters and the drama, setting and story are all quite entertaining.

yeah Kotoura-san is a riot i can't stop laughing my ass off at times.

i'm also watch Orashura, the unlimited  Hyobu Kyosuke and i did try to give Vividred operations a chance but damn it just creeps me out

Hmm, I will give the first two a shot but Vividred? Not my taste.. at all. Orashura even seems too much, but we'll see. (I hate ecchi, if you haven't noticed)

I can tolerate it in Kotoura-san since it mostly are only his thoughts.. Which is more.. realistic.. Though.. I shouldnt use that word in a anime about mind reading.. but whatever!

Oh...Angel Beats

That show.....

I haven't seen it yet

And I know little about it

Though I hear so much about it

Yet so little

I've heard the name Angel Beats about a million times

But never have I heard if it's a good show or if it's a bad show

Though I've been thinking about watching it

Since I always find it fun to watch anime series

Without knowing anything about them

Because of the fact of how, sometimes...you can expect the unexpected

I've already seen it but I'll rewatch for the sake of the thread.

It is a great one, I can tell you that beforehand.. If it only was a bit longer.

OH MY GOSH! Only one of my favorite animes ever! It was actually the one that got me into anime! Man, I cracked up so many times while watching it and almost cried too. The end made me sad also, but I personally thought it was really good.

Then if you haven't seen either Clannad or Kanon you are gonna be blown away, if you have.. You know what I'm talking about.

ome anime I like are Pokemon, Yugioh, and Bleach, also Soul Eater.

Ah, yes.. Some pretty good standard shonen animes.. I personally like Soul Eater quite a lot out of that list.

But may I suggest some other genre? Like drama or mystery.

Or if you wanna stay in your style with the drama and mystery, go and watch Fullmetal Alchemist. Almost every anime viewer likes this series and it is a fantastic anime.. There is something in there for almost everyone!

Try it, if you haven't already.

my thoughts of Angle Beats

meh, it was all fun and good and what not but there wasn't much to hook me in with out the show just trying too hard, how ever that ending :'( different story which saves the anime.

this weeks Anime is Kino's Journey

230px-Kino_no_Tabi_volume_1_cover.jpg

In Kino's Journey, the protagonist, Kino, accompanied by a talking motorcycle named Hermes, travels through a mystical world of many different countries and forests, each unique in its customs and people. Kino only spends three days and two nights in every town, without exception, on the principle that three days is enough time to learn almost everything important about a place, while leaving time to explore new lands.

enjoy but a fair warning this anime should not be watched for a 'pick me up'

Sooo...um, I'm pretty new to anime in general, I've always wanted to watch more but I'm not sure where to start. I feel like I'm intruding in your sanctuary or something. What's a noob got to do to fit in around here?

I got into anime a few months ago by watching a few episodes of Last Exile and Mushishi, but I haven't gone too far in either series, I've decided to put both on hold while I watch Kino's Journey for now.

don't worry you'll fit in just fine :) this club is mostly gona be focusing on the smaller anime series, around 13 to 30 episodes long and easy to burn though and watch them all with in a week.

I love Ouran! It's hilarious, and, despite how stupid Tamaki is, he said some really wise things along the way. The speech he gave to Honey-sempai during a flashback stands out in particular. Also, I must admit, the ending was so beautiful that it made me cry a couple manly tears.

It is among my absolute favorite anime.

Oh good lord this one

I've past by it a couple of times

While browsing through Netflix

Which doesn't have the greatest anime selection

But yeah I don't think I've considered it at all

Though maybe if I'm that bored I'll actually watch it

But even if you are straight

You've gotta admit that those boys do like quite cute

Seriously, I bet this anime has turned a few people bi or gay

this week Anime is

Durarara!

spoiler- this is my 3rd favorite Anime, a spot it shares with Baccano! which DRRR! is kind of a spiritual squeal of, and a sense it follow some of the same traits as we as some Baccano! easter eggs :D

You think that's bad? I've still only watched the first five episodes of Kino's Journey, I think I'll start keeping a list so I can watch everything.

Man, it's been a while since I participated in this thread but I'm back now! wacko.png

I've already seen DRRR! (saw that before Baccano) but if there's easter eggs to be found, I guess I'll be watching it again. I loved it the first time through and I'm sure I'll love it this time just the same (or even more because of the easter eggs) biggrin.png.

Fantastic list, first of all. Some real cornerstone series listed.

A few others to check out, that I highly recommend:

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit (Absolutely stunning series with some of the most amazing fight sequences.)

Last Exile (Nothing I can say will do this show justice.)

Trigun (Pretty much a staple of the genre.)

Mushi-Shi (Slower paced, but extremely deep.)

Tears to Tiara (One of the better story lines I've seen in a series in any genre.)

These are the first and only two anime I saw before finding this thread, both wonderful, especially Mushi-Shi. Last Exile instantly hooked me with it's dieselpunk aesthetic. Unfortunately I never finished watching either of them, maybe we should have them as the week's anime some time.
