Great, we finally get to see Dashie's parents! I really do feel glad, to see one of my favorite ponies father revealed to us.

Finaly we see one of Rainbow Dash's parents.

All thats left is the other two Pegasai.

 

Now concerning Rainbow's dad I have to ask,

Is he a single parent?

I mean did he raise Rainbow by himself?

 

The reason I am wondering is because it would explain Rainbow's tomboy personality. In most cases where the father is the only parent of his daughter, the daughter tends to gain what society would call masculin behaviors. The daughter may become what society calls a tomboy. Is this true for every scenario? No. BUT it is in the realm of possibility that Rainbow's tomboy personality was a direct result of having only a fathe to raise her.

 

This is my thoughts though, and it can be disproven if we see Rainbow Dash's mother sometime latter in season 4.

 

In the mean time, I can only wait for the fan-fics to commence being written.

I can see it now.. In Season 4, they will have a family get together. Where everyones parents come, other than AJs, but the get together is on the day her parents died. So everyone is remembering AJs parents.

 

What i mean is, the Mane Six's parents were friends prior to the show, but never knew their kids were friends too.

Im sooo glad that dashie has parents, When i saw that scene today, I was sooo excited. Its like one of those "OMG!!!!" moments. They totally have to make an episode in season 4 where her parents are shown more clearly, and maybe even a speaking role for them. Our little dashie does have parents

I saw some fans speculate on another website that Rainbow Mom is the pink-haired pony standing next to him, specifically this one:

That sounds likely as any, both rainbow and her have a blueish coat, so I guess Rainbow's mane came from his father for sure.

I like that we finally get a confirmation that pegasi have parents though .

So this means that... Fluttershy's the only one who's parents we haven't seen, right?  I mean, I know technically we haven't seen AJ's parents as ponies, but they did also technically make an appearance, so I'm counting it anyway.  Gotta say, RD's dad be rocking some swag, although I was kinda surprised that he looked like he was so chill and not more of a jock.  I kind of like it actually, makes RD's behavior all the more random, unless of course she gets her tomcolt behavior from her mom, who may or may not have been in the shot, can't say.  Can't wait for the episode tomorrow!

I loved that teaser, and it's great to finally see Dash's father! Maybe he encouraged her to be an athlete.

 

As for who Dash's mother is... think this picture says it all.

I have to say they weren't very creative about this one. He's pretty much the exact Stallion version of Rainbow dash but i guess if he didn't have the trademark rainbow mane we would probably still be wondering if it was actually her father or not. 

it may not seem creative, but if he were portrayed anyother way, no one would spend much time on the thought of him being related.

We haven't technically seen AJ's parents as ponies, but the writers did confirm after "Apple Family Reunion" aired that the two shooting stars that appeared in two scenes (once at the beginning, and once at the end) were supposed to be AJ's parents, implying they've passed away but are also watching over the Apple Family, so I felt that technically, by a stretch, it counted as a sighting.

Yeah, totally would love to see a flashback of them at some point, and hey, now that they've opened that door, there's a possibility that we'd get to see them at some point in a flashback, possibly even an episode devoted to what happened to them (although that's probably more me hoping beyond hope, but hey, I can dream!  ).

Gosh when I first say these spoilers before the episode aired I prayed that that Rainbow and her dad would have SOME interaction during the episode, I really wish that they would have shown more

Let's hope we see him again in season 4. Maybe there might be a big RD episode where he AND the mother show up and it centers around the parental relationship.

Personally i agree that this is Rainbow Dashes father. But I'm not sure if there was any thought that he might be a "single" father. I am leaning towards that myself.

 

Oh imagine the shipping potential stories on that ;D
