"Hello all," he said with a smile. "I'm actually a rookie at this. After you left, Celestia came to the barracks and asked for volunteers to accompany you on your journey. I got here as fast as I could."

 

His eyes are drawn over to Assurance who is saluting him. He salutes her back. "It's actually your mission," he says. "You outrank me, and I am honored that you would have me along."

Cora looked Corkscrew up and down and lifted a brow. "I thought guards were trained to be punctual," she said in a short tone. "I suppose the Royal Princesses" (here she snorted) "have let it slip over the years, especially considering you were even allowed to come here. More's the pity, I suppose." She waved her arm. "Cora."

 

Snow, as per usual, remained grumpy and silent, and Cora took notice. "The angry one is Snow," she added, and the unicorn glared at her. Cora started to hack again, but this time it was slightly more violent.

(OK sorry for being a little late I dont know if im accepted I think I am, if not just ignore this but this is the best way to get in this rp)

Ace walked over after oversleeping and never been in Canterlot. "Uh excuse me but I volunteered to save the elements I can't find my group." (this is the best interdutery I can do  )

Gears stood on the hill overlooking Ponyville. His scarf covered his mouth and nose, and he wore his goggles. He slowly sneaked away at the 3-minute long night. He looked towards Canterlot.

He had found a poster calling for those to free the Elements of Harmony. He figured he had nothing to lose, and decided to check it out. He shivered and galloped off. He walked up a tree and appeared in a Canterlot park tree.

'Well, Discord's chaos magic makes traveling a hell of a lot easier."

He looked at the palace.

"Better start there."

He took the shovel from his back and walked to it completely cautious and aware. He soon stood in front of the walls, awaiting entrance.

Krein noticed a stray unicorn walking around, unsure of where he was to go. He tried to wave him over, hoping he would see him. He then turned to another confused pony who just arrived.

"You'd be at the right place then. I'm gonna ask again, all of you know where we're heading, right? The Everfree Forest is largley unknown and dangerous, but they need ponies who are willing to brave those dangers. On furher note, Discord has taken the other five to other places even more unknown than Everfree."

He boarded the train, tired of the rain.

"Volunteers. Even better," smirked Cora, her hacking fit evidently over. There was still and uncomfortable feeling in her stomach. She retied her bandana again, making sure it was slightly tighter this time, as it had been slipping off and revealing and odd marking on her throat. 

Snow had noticed it, however, and took an instant interest in it. She, for the first time, approached the group, but Cora recoiled and gave her the evil eye, looking at the others to take the strangeness of the moment away.

"So! Uhm. Where are we headed first?" she said, trying to regain her composure. 

When she heard Krein say Everfree, she shook her head. "Oh, can't we go somewhere else first?" she said, almost desperately.

Gears blinked at a waving pony. He readied his shovel.

'Anypony can be a trap....'

He slowly walked over and sucked behind a bench. He slowly looked over and waved back, and quickly docked back behind the bench.

"According to Celestia, the Everfree is where Discord supposedly took Fluttershy. Naturally, he'd probably want to corrupt the very thing she's supposed to love..."

Krein eyed Snow a bit, but simply stepped back a little further from the group.

"I hope you're not afraid of some dark and creepy forest. You know, wouldn't want some other measly volunteer running away before this even starts..."

 

(@Dovah: Yeah)

A few Royal Guards surrounded the sneaking pony.

"State your business," they said gruffly.

Gears looked around at them.

"Mmf, mmf, mmmph."

He realized his scarf was still on and took in off.

"I'm Erm.. Here to voleenteer to Erm... Save the Elements of Harmony. Now where do I sign up?"

He seriously hoped that they believed him, as he didn't want to rot in a dungeon.

[Shift 4,272]

Assurance walked over to gears.

 

"Um...You can just ask one of us. Well...um...so...do you wanna come? I mean, you don't have to, but it might look like i'm forcing you, and I would never force anyone to come..." Assurance said with a whimper, making herself small. Ponies in general were not her thing.

One of the unicorns charged a spell and hit him on the head with it. It caused no damage, as it was simply a type of lie detect spell.

"Good then, you're free to go. Several other volunteers have already boarded the train. Ask for more info there, because all we know is that Everfree is your first stop."

The train began to screech as it revved up to go...

"Well it would make sense to go to the nearest place which is the Everfree forest. " Ace said bording the train after the others. " Im Flying Ace but you can just call me Ace if you want everypony does." Ace sat down in one of the seats and waited for the train to get a move on.

(OoC: Just in case you weren't aware, Snow wasn't speaking; Cora was. )

 

Cora rolled her eyes and bit back her response, not wanting to antagonize this guy just yet. "Pierdol się," she muttered under her breath so no one heard, and then looked up. "As I previously said, I've lived in the Forest my entire life. I'm more worried about you running away. You seem like the type." She smiled innocently, kicking her hooves back and forth as she tried to get comfortable on the train's seat. She cast an eye over the others. "Forest isn't quite as cutesy as it appears, see..."

She glanced at Ace, who had spoken up. "I'm not an idiot," she said calmly. "I'm just saying none of you are prepared for what waits in there."

Gears shook his head a few times, as if he could shake off the magic. He looked at the guards, and then looked at Assurance.

"Erm... Sure, that's what I left Ponyville for... Hey, are you going too? If so, I'm Grinding-"

Gears stopped himself from saying that on instinct, but got over it.

"Ah, f--- it, I'm Grinding Gears. Who're you?

"Pahlok mey," Kreinbahthur whispered with a smirk. Really? Did this arrogant pegasus think that highly of herself? It was quite laughable really.

"Run away? I think there's worser things out there than a couple of puny creatures. So what were your trials mare? Having to stop every five steps to make sure the trees weren't coming alive?"

 

(Allow me to godmod for a bit. Nothing major, just getting everyone on board, including other members who have yet to post)

Everypony finally settled down and took their places at the train. It revved up completely before it took off with speed towards the destination, the outskirts of Everfree.

"Oh, no, dear," she said with a broad smile as she leaned in with a dramatic flair. "No, it's much worse than the dyn yn bwyta coed. Anyways, the trees are fond of me at this point." 

 

Snow glanced up at that mention; though she was further down in the car, and frowned as she stared back down at her lap.

 

The others seemed wholly unconcerned at what was in there, and Cora wasn't surprised. While the forest knew her, it wasn't quite as forgiving to strangers, an unknown fact that would probably get a few of them killed, or driven insane, or even worse, become like her. She hoped that she would remain normal in her time there, but she made no promises to herself; if it was inhabited by Discord now, he had likely made a few additions, and none of them pleasant.

 

The thought of what was there made her neck hurt, and she touched the bandana, shifting it back into place again.

This edition was special - on why the bat ponies have broken Discord's seal and they should be stopped immediately  and they should be wiped. Assurance shook - this was her one chance of proving the bat ponies weren't responsible.

Gears sat on the train's soft seat. He looked over at the bat-pony he met earlier. She intrigued him. She was kinda cute, too. He was supposed to go on a camping trip the day Discord attacked (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), and was probably going to meet a bunch of mares. But that was knocked down.

'Eh, I'll talk to her later.'

He then took his satchel from his side and emptied it out. There were some tools, some snacks, and his best friend, Rhonda. He activated the brown robot.

"Morning master!"

"Morning, Rhonda. Sit."

Rhonda sat next to him an looked out the window.

Ace leaned over his seat and greeted the bat pony "hey there! I'm Ace" Ace said trying to drown out the gaurd and that mare who in his head is now stick in the mud they were having a conversation that sounded like a war and Ace wanted nothing to do with it.

Corkscrew take his seat on the train and begins to stair off into a daze. "First stop had to the the Everfree Forest" he said under his breath. He motions to Assurance to take a seat nearby. He felt an awkwardness amongst the group and was hoping that he could break the ice by talking about guard things.

Rhonda looked away from the window and looked at all the other ponies.

"Ooooo, new friends!!!!"

Gears had programmed Rhonda to follow the EoH, but unfortunately didn't program him with limits. Rhonda bolted towards them and sat.

"Hello! I am Rhonda. Lets be friends, okay?"

Gears buried his face in his scarf in embarrassment.

Libra's briefcase now rested on his lap, and he opened it up to reveal dozens of papers written in the complex language of law, pens, a notebook, a letter opener and a map. "In case anypony needs some guidance, I brought a map of Equestria." He said, as he opened the map. "Might as well have the letter opener ready..." he murmured. He grabbed the letter opener and set it on top of his briefcase.

"Forests... oh how wonderful, wood and fire, perfect matchup," Kreinbahthur muttered as he took his place. He looked over at Assurance, who was reading a rather defaming news article.

"Your kind doesn't get much love, does it bat pegasus?", Krein asked. "I've never seen... wherever it is you're from, which is quite rare since I have been to many places as well. Care to tell about it?"

Corkscrew felt the tension building in the train. Just sitting there. He removes his helmet and places it next to him on his seat. In it, he sees a letter that must have been put there before he left "What could this be?" he says to himself. "Who could have put this in there? It must have been put there before I put my armor on." He stares at the envelope for a while and then puts it back in his helmet. "I hope nopony noticed that." under his breath. He knew it was his guard assignment. It starts thoughts running though his head on why he was chosen to become a guard. "Who had ever heard of an orange guard." It sparks his interest in the note again. "Come to think of it, all the other guards armor is gold, why is mine silver?" 

He looks around the train to see if anypony heard him talking to himself.

As the train ride continued, it began to get increasingly hot inside. Looking outside, everypony could see that the weather had quickly changed from one place to another, becoming dry and torrid. An announcement came on, stating they were halfway towards the outskirts of Everfree.

Gears threw his scarf into the pile of his other things. He looked over at Rhonda and told it to come over here and get into sleeping position.

"But, master! I was busy making friends!"

"You can socialize later, Rhonda, I have important business. As Rhonda folded up, he got up and walked over to the others.

"Well, this is it. Any of you as nervous as I am?"
