101 Unicorn Magic Talents.

Every unicorn has a special magic talent or gift. Rarity can find gem stones. Snails can make his horn glow with brilliant white light. Twilight's ability is rare but shows up in unicorns from time to time, her talent is magic itself.

 

Some talents are simple, like gem finding. While others are very versatile allowing for many different expressions. Lets take fire for example.

 

Unicorn A has a talent for making walls of fire. He can alter its shape and area of effect. He can end the spell at will or keep it going through the night whilst he sleeps.

 

Unicorn B, has fire itself as a talent. He can breathe a cone of fire like a dragon, wreathe himself in flame, and duplicate everything Unicorn A can do. Versatile talents are all limited to a theme, like fire, or lightning. Themes like Ranger spell lists from DnD are also known.

 

The single power talents represent the majority of Unicorn powers and abilities.

Versatile talents are uncommon but have known examples everywhere.

Power akin to Twilight’s are very rare, less than 1 per cent can express raw magic at her level.

 

So here is a list for the community to put together. Simple or versatile, feel free to expand on an idea.

I'll start,

 

1) Music. This pony can create orchestral music at will, She can reproduce exactly any song or concert she has heard, and can create new compositions. She uses this magic to enhance her singing career.

 

2) Summon Timbre Wolves. A pair of wolves appear and do whatever the Summoner commands. Protect, guard, attack. They can be killed in the line of duty, and he can always summon more.

 

3) Change colors. You might think this is a useless power, but this unicorn runs a successful Canterlot shop. He can change the color of anything or any pony permanently. As ponies are multi-hued, the vain upper-class will pay him good money to alter their looks at a whim. He could charge a lot, but his fees are more than reasonable. Even ponies of limited means can afford his service.

the powers I've assigned my OC are levetation (like most unicorns have) vocal augmentation (i can use magic to alter, amplify andharmonize mine and otherponies voices) and audio augmentation (similar to vocal only with instruments and such)
