I don't want to say it, but I feel it must be said...

Pics or it didn't happen. You had me convinced until the "white hand" deal. A glitchy game doesn't suddenly make up new dialogue like that. But if you're going for a creepypasta, carry on.

The game didn't make up dialogue. I found a video of where it occurs normally. So Firebolt was right when she said that it happens in the original game.

Huh. Never knew that that dialogue existed in the game...

Okay, carry on. See if you can catch a Missingno or hatch a Bad Egg. I did that once. Whoopsie.

EDIT: Pictures of the really weird stuff would still be nice.

@H.R.

Man that is odd o.O what did they do to those cartridges back when they made em'. Idk still is creepy how it is all glitched up and everything.

Didn't they put batteries  for the games in old cartridges? Or am I thinking for really old cartridges? If thats the case maybe thats part of the reason its glitched up.

I guess they also just didn't program them as solid, thats why theres more bugs in older games and newer games its either less abundant(most of the time) or you have to work alot harder.

I quite find this interesting strangely enough :P, its like having a whole new game. Pokemon Spirits :D?

Holy....wow, I didn't think that it was possible for a game cartridge to get corrupted like that

Man I knew that they get old, but I didn't know that they'd screw up like that

You've got yourself a new idea for a creepypasta....well maybe not new since there is creepypastas that sound like that one

But then again most creepypastas sound the exact same as each other

Here are some pics of particularly odd glitches I found.

This is some scrambled dialogue:

I also finally found a wild Pokemon, and it looked like this (I hadn't trained my Charmander, I mostly trained my squirtle)

Tom the Charmander. I love it.

So that was a Charmander with a Growlithe sprite, or a Growlithe with a Bulbasaur name?

Or maybe it's a Ditto? That'd be neat. And trippy.

The batteries have nothing to do with the games function, old games just used temporary flash memory for saving that needed a battery to keep to keep data stored on it.

Oh, I'm dumb then. lol.

I guess maybe something got broken in the cartridge, but honestly I thought that it would've freeze if it got damaged to bad. Idk I obviously know nothing about cartridges though. :P. Still pretty entertaining to hear about.

Got a few more screenshots to show. I don't have a reliable software for recording at the moment, so you'll have to make do with the pictures I take until I can figure out what to record with.

My play time clocks in at 192:34 for whatever odd reason. I have all three starters for some reason even though I chose Charmander. I also haven't run into any wild Pokemon even though I've run circles in the grass.

Also, I have a video with the music that plays at the start.

It should be noted that 240p is how you hear it in game.

Why the hell do i have a feeling i've heard that somewhere... its almost as if its playing backwards or something... O_O Try playing that in reverse... I THINK ITS SAYING SOMETHING!!!

But seriously that sounds really strange.

How are you taking the screenshots?

Also, are you playing the cartridge on a regular Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advanced, or a Gameboy SP?

Most of the screenshots are from the ROM I emulated. You can tell the difference between actual screenshots and my emulator because the emulator is pure white, the cartridge has the kind of dull gray Gameboy coloration. I generally resize them all the same way to keep consistency. I'm playing the cartridge on a regular gameboy. I tried it in my gameboy color but it wasn't working that way. It just froze at the title screen, so far the emulator and the actual original gameboy are the only methods that make it work.

I noticed some strange things about the cartridge as well, more glitches (and more random glitches) occur on the cartridge, while the emulator is more consistent. To be honest, some of the things are starting to have coincidences that are really creeping me out. I'm a little bit shaken, even.

Yes, it is Missingno. Also, I found something that has kind of shaken me. I'm not really sure how this happened but I started it up like normal and this happened, then the game froze. :

....And yeah i don't recognize those sprites either. Its looks like some masked thief.

If it does keep track, I haven't been told about it. As far as I know, it does not keep track of the date. I've tried turning it back on but all it does is show that screen and loop some music that I'll post in a video here:

Or, more accurately, it freezes in pallet town. I can explore my house but it's entirely empty.

It's truly perplexing, I'm not sure about the specifics of the cartridge, novelty electronics is not my specialty.

It doesn't keep track of the date yet it just showed the date right in front of you... That is just way too freaky man. I really have no idea what the hell to make of this...

Well, I just tried it again and it's working. Well, kind of, there was a save there, I loaded it up and it's trainer name says RobertB.

You know what i was thinking just now. maybe Nintendo programmed all of this. As one big massive troll. Like after a certain number of years all original Pokemon games will seem really glitched and creepy. And It will get rid of saves and make new ones and other crap and weird stuff just to screw with the player. Imagine if that were true. Nintendo would of been the First and biggest trolls ever  .
