Star shrugged a bit but then proceeded to stroke his chin in deep thought. "Hm, well I guess I am quite a big fan of J.R.R. Coltien, Agatha Christie, Terry Pratchett. Just to name a few. I have a particular interest in Pegasi history, especially centered around the time of Hearths Warming. I guess that's the story that sparked my curiosity. I just had to find out more."

Despite everything, Star was actually having a very nice time. I was always nice to have somepony to talk to, but he could certainly get used to something like this. Star Keeper was about to reply with another question but he was interrupted by the sound of the waiter arriving at the table. "Oh, I guess this is the part where we order."

(OOC: There was only so many Pony Puns I could make with my favorite authors, don't judge me.)

The waiter, a thin, white unicorn, approached them, strutting proudly with a pen and paper levitated in front of him. "Good evening, sir and madame. May I take your order?"

Moonbeam looked down at the menu. "Hmm...I think I'll have the hot Neightalian peppers, stuffed with herbed risotto and basil-lime sauce," she said politely with a smile.

(OOC: If you're trying to think of food for Star to order, look up vegetarian meals)

"Thank you, you're meals will be out very soon. I hope you both have a lovely date."

Star Keeper felt a sudden yelp inside him, and then panicked. "No no no, she's not my date. We just met and... we're having dinner as friends. You know, buds, chums, bros."

"Oh, my apologies." The waiter trotted towards the kitchen, allowing Star to take a rather deep sigh of relief. "That was rather awkward."

@,

Encore blinked, and looked at Unholy as if just seeing her plainly for the first time. Her sudden confidence was both unexpected and astonishing. "Well, I suppose... That I could look into it," he mused as they boarded the carriage that indeed contained the spa. The only thing immediately visible was a heavy, highly polished wooden door halfway down the magnificent abstrace mural of a wall. Very well done, Encore thought. The door could easily just be part of the mural. It's just blended so well.

He opened the door to the spa for Unholy, and a strong vanilla scent wafted from within. Wrinkling his nose slightly at the smell, Encore inclined his head. "This is it. After you."

Star brushed it off and decided the best way of forgetting it was just to move on. "You said that you like to travel every once and a while. Where have you been, if you don't mind me asking? I was just curious. I haven't seen much beyond Canterlot, Cloudsdale and  Ponyville." Not, bad, If I didn't know any better I'd say you were taking lessons behind my back.

(OCC: Just in case you hadn't figured it out; Star Keeper is socially oblivious in every way. You could poke him with a stick saying I like you and he wouldn't fully understand. He can be a bit of an idiot.)

She spoke up weakly, her blush still painting her face. "Oh, umm...I've been to Manehatten and Canterlot to see some plays, Marewaukee for a small concert my friend was putting on, and Neigh-jing, Clopston, Apploosa, and Sicfilly for vacation. I also like to explore the Everfree Forest where I live as well. It is so big that even those treks could count as traveling," she said with a little, forced laugh.

As she finished, the maitre'd brought over two wine glasses, a bottle of sparkling water, and a small bottle of red wine, saying with a smile, "This is on the house."

"Huh?" said Moonbeam softly as the maitre'd wandered off. She turned her attention back to the glasses, picking up the wine bottle and asking, "Umm...do you want some, Star?"

(OOC: Moonbeam is just as oblivious. This is going to be a long dinner :P )

Unnholy trotted into the spa and waited for a pony.

Lotus Blossom and Aloe trotted up to them in synch. They leaded Unholy to a bath.

"you look like a mess." said Lotus. "we'll clean you right up and make your coat and mane shine." Aloe added.

The twins poured a bucket of warm water over Unholy's head... the stripes on her back and face... they were washing off...

"i-is this paint?" Aloe asked, scrubbing off the stripes on Unholy's face.

Unholy began to blush." uhhh... yeah... Zecora told me that I wasn't enough zebra to stay with her, so she painted the stripes on my face and back, and she styled my mane..." Unholy stammered.

The twins finished scrubbing the paint off and washing Unholy's hair.

"So you only have stripes on you legs? how peculiar... i've never seen anything like it before. i guess it's something very special." Lotus said.

Unholy was led to a chair.

"now wait there sweetie, we're going to go get the hairstylist, we'll be back." Lotus and Aloe chimed together before trotting off.

@,

((Sorry for the wait - early night for me))

"I uh...you where hungry?" he replied quietly, trying not to catch the attention of any other ponies in the room. "Um, you wanted the time, and then you where hungry...are you alright?" he asked, slightly confused at her sudden memory loss.

"She really is amazing. I know how to play a couple of her songs...on violin of course. Anyway, we should go see her in concert sometime...that is...if you're not busy." She said, blushing.

She chose out what she wanted to order and placed her menu on the table. A few moments later, a waitress started making her way over to them.

Hop let out a short laugh. "Sounds like a plan." Just then the waiter came over.

"May i take your order?" The mare asked.

"Umm, yes. I would like the stir-fried vegitbles with tea please." Hop replied kindly. She then looked over at Star with a smile as the waiter wrote down her order.

"And with a sigh, she closed the old dusty book and set it gently back on its self. Wishing for a better day to come tomorrow. So that today can be forgotten and lost in the memories of that book..."

@,

Fiera smiled. "Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me. Kinda strange how I forgot. Silly me. But I think dinner would better fill me up than a quick snack. Wanna join me?" she asked Dusk, starting to head towards the dining car. "I heard they serve things from all over the world"

"D-dinner? Oh...I uh...I don't kn..." he stammered his words out the best he could. Of course he wanted to go with her but...he wasn't hungry, and he he didn't exactly have much experience eating with mares...or with other ponies, for that matter. "Um...y-yeah...s-sure I guess...I mean...I think so." He hoofed the ground slowly and looked at the floor as he spoke, not exactly wanting to make eye contact.

@,

Fiera looked back towards Dusk. "Something wrong with having dinner with me?" she asked. "I mean, I know you accepted, but it didn't sound like you accepted" she told him. "If you aren't happy then I'm not happy, and you want me to be happy as well, right?" she said and turned around, slowly moving closer to him.

Dusk nodded, and then with a puzzled look on his face, he shook his head. "Yes...I mean...no...what?" He looked up, only to see her walking towards him, and he instinctively took a step back, bumping into something. He looked back to see it was a table, and he stopped moving. "Sorry...I just..." he shook his head, trying to clear his mind. "Of course, I want you to be happy. I just...i've...well, i've never had a meal with ---..." he trailed off into an unintelligible mumble.

Thank you." She smiled at the waitress as she nodded and trotted off towards the kitchen. "I still just cant believe this is a train." She said, looking around at the large room.

Fiera giggled and backed up a little bit. "I'm just messing with you. And it will be fine, its not like its a date or anything..." she said and started heading towards the diner car again. But snapped back around and stared deep into Dusk's eyes. "Unless you want it to be..." she said in a really creepy voice.

"So, Star, do you ever go to the theater? I'm sure there's plenty of histories which you would enjoy."

Star was startled out of his thoughts for a second, instantly sitting up straight. "What? Oh right, um... No, I don't often go to the theatre. I should probably get out a bit more. Maybe we should go sometime. I mean we both live near Ponyville, and it sounds like fun."

Encore watched with a half-smile upon his face as two hustle-and-bustle spa workers practically pulled Unholy deeper into the spa. Luckily, he was allowed to approach the desk without being ambushed himself. The pony on shift seemed to be rather inattentive, hiding behind the cover of a magazine. Glancing at the simple price of a massage, he blinked. Nah. I don't really need a massage anyway. He sighed and trotted back out of the spa. Maybe he'd offer to pay Unholy's bill instead, convinced as he was that he had caused her to spill that drink all over herself. He glanced up and down the corridor for a moment, as if surprised he didn't know what to do with himself.

"I would love that. We should definitely go see a show together sometime. It'll be a ton of fun," she said with a smile. "We really should get together quite often once we're back home. I love spending time with you," she said cheerfully, realizing exactly what she had said a moment after the words had left her lips. Her face got rosy again, and she shrunk down in her seat as the water returned, placing both of their warm plates in front of them.

"Bon Appetit," said the waiter, walking back to the kitchens.

Oh, this looks very good. They sure know how to make a meal. Star Keeper licked his lips at the smell that wafted from his dish. The waiter gestured with his hoof. Right, he must want a tip or something. Star reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a few bits and handed them to the stallion. He nodded with approval and left them to enjoy their meal. "I hope we do get to spend more time together. Especially if this is the kind of food involved. I can't wait."

"Absolutely. It looks so delicious, and it smells simply divine!" she said, with renewed vigor. She picked up her utensils and got to work on her meal. She took one big bite of the peppers, but then her face suddenly turned red and her eyes quickly teared up. She swallowed, and one word fell past her lips. "Spicy!" She drained her entire glass in one gulp, panting for breathe.

Star Keepers smile was quickly replaced by one of slight shock. He tried to refil her glass but it didn't seem to be helping much. "Um, maybe we should switch. I think I can handle my spice a bit better." He chuckled a bit but it. "But your face was kind of funny." Okay that probably wasn't the greatest thing to say.

Hop took an observant look around the train car and saw what she meant. "Oh... wow... this train must have its own separate rail line if its this big. I guess i wasn't really paying attention in the roller rink i guess." she said taking another look out the window to view the sunset. "It really is beautiful. You dont see these kinds of sunsets everyday. I think Celestia is putting a little more effort into it this time. You know, funny thought. I've never been able to read Celestia. She's like this... i dont know. I never seem to know what she's feeling like i do with other ponies. Like you. I can read Princess Luna though, but she's different from Celestia." Hop sank down at this thought and sat sulking for a few seconds before looking out the window again.

"Accent, dear, would you excuse me for a moment?" Without waiting for an answer, Jabber trotted ahead towards the reason for his anger. Encore had just looked the other way - a perfect opportunity. As Jabber walked by Encore, he wrapped a hoof around the pony's neck and half-coaxed, half-pulled him further down the hallway, muttering "Walk with me."

At the far end of the area (and out of earshot of Accent), Jabber halted their advance and wheeled on Encore. "Okay, pal , I don't know what you think you're doing," Jabber seethed through clenched teeth, "But lay off Accent. Kapeesh? I mean, not like you could get such a fine mare as she...uh, I mean, she doesn't like you. So go away."

@,

Dusk could barely hold back a welp when she suddenly turned to him. "okay then..." he replied quietly, and somewhat dejectedly.

'Tell her Dusk...it's not like you have anything else going for you - and what is there to lose anyway?!' Shadow piped up in his mind.

'I...I can't...she doesn't like me like that anyway. I've made a friend alright? Why do you always try and push for more?'

'Because old boy, I like to see you happy, is that so hard to believe? Well...if you dont tell her, you'll still have me at least.' He laughed, before seemingly disappearing again.

"He's right though isn't he..." He mumbled, seemingly momentarily unaware of Fiera's presence.
