If they're bad guys...Thing (The weird monster thing) Could be their master/mistress (Thing doesn't really have a gender until it takes over the body of a pony) It would have to find them in the RP rather than already being their master/mistress...So it wouldn't be their master/mistress until they meet up...

Awesome. All Thing wants is to create Chaos...right now at least. More will be revealed later in the RP Only if Glory manages to bring back the goddess whatever her name was...

That's Vesta, and she only will when it seems that all is lost cuz Glory is scared to do the spell. Basically, it's just such a huge thing to do, to summon a goddess, that she doesn't want to do it cept as a last resort.

Oh no no no. I have planned this out with Gladius. Would you mind saying that Vesta doesn't know who or what thing is when...I mean...if she arrives ? Because I have an epic plan.

I know this is a bit historically inaccurate, but lets say the Romans conquered areas such as Scandinavia. That's where Vinyl is from and, having lived there since before the Romans, she still believes in the Norse gods. Could she summon, say, Thor, if she has the spell?

She wouldn't know, as such, no. And in any case she wouldn't fight Thing, at least not at first. She'd try and use reason. XD

Thing would be happy to have some new ponies to order around...it likes being in charge and doesn't care about anything apart from causing chaos...and other stuff that would spoil things...

You posted that literally as I was responding. Anyway, there would be several issues. First of all, why she would know that spell. Second, why she would be summoning Thor. Finally, the fact that she is powerful enough or has a strong enough connection to Thor to perform a summoning. Glory can only do it because she's an oracle and pretty much the closest pony to Vesta in the world.

I figured as much. A pony oracle dedicated to say Mars would be able to summon him, but Glory wouldn't, as she's dedicated to Vesta so that's who she'll be summoning.

Should I bow out?  Pripyat, you've been cool, because you played along with me out of pity, maybe, but my guy just is too common for the kind of story the rest of you have built.  He would have no business in the palace nor the temple and when he went to the arena he basically had to poke a bear to get growled at.

 

I mean no offense to anyone, but I don't think I insinuated the right kind of character into the kind of story you were developing.  That's my bad.

You could always try to get into the palace or something and speak if you can help or you could go to thing, ashwing, etc
