How are you people able to take a break from MH3U? I have been hooked to it so much lately. I am HR6 with the urgent quest. I need poeple to help me fight dual Brachy (G Rank, heh)

 

I have Narga armor with my Dios Stinger+. Also, Is there anyone who can help me farm the event quest? I need Bullfango heads. :/ I want my baby back. (The Baltzenger)

Well, those 2 new games plus the fact that I'm in my last quarter of senior year in high school kinda give me an excuse to take a break (I want to play more of it tho, honestly!). I'm gonna do some Gold Ceadeus farming online either tonight or tomorrow (or both) to get the full set. I'm also gonna slay some steel uragaans (3 scutes) and dios (just need that stupid gem...) for dios tail hammer + so I might want to join you on your urgent quest (if I have time.... I had spring break last week which is why I was online so much). 

 

So i'm almost done with the Ceadus the Goldbearded armor, I just need some elderagon blood (4), Ceadus fur (8) and Conquerer's seals 3. Anyone want to help me gather these ingredients later, mainly the Conquerer Seals?

I WOULD help, but... I'm stuck at HR3 online :/ But anyways, I had been going after Ceadeus again, did three more hunts. Repelled twice, then kiilled it the third time. Oddly enough, I got two more gems o.o One from the first of the three as a reward item. The second one came from a CARVE on Ceadeus o.o Seriously... 3 out of 4 Ceadeus hunts gave me a deep dragongem... Aren't they supposed to be, like, 2% chance or something???

I ended up picking up both the 3DS and WiiU versions.

Have been mainly playing on 3DS but am now jumping onto the WiiU versions.

Game is fun though I definitely still suck at it since i'm running with the Great Sword.

Is the great sword truly your best weapon? If not, you might need to consider using something else. It took some time before I finally decided that hammers were my best weapon, it's sorta like finding your cutie mark (if cutie marks could maul monsters to death that is).

That's an absolutely amazing analogy.    It takes a long time to find your weapon too, just like a cutie mark.  I switched between almost all the classes before I ended up with great sword on one of the PSP releases back in the day.  I am so much more effective with it.

 

Also, is it just me or are Rathalos/Rathians easier in this game than previous ones?

Oh my God, I love this game. Got it for 3DS and it's all I have been playing since.

Been using mostly Dual Swords, since I like the speed and maneuverability you get with them, but I find I'm using my Switch Axe on big monsters most of the time, since it just does more damage. Power Phial ftw. Also, it doesn't bounce off of armor it can't penetrate in sword mode

 

This is my first Monster Hunter, btw. I'm disappointed in myself, seeing as I've had a PS2 for a really long time, but didn't even know about the series until a year or two ago.

Man, Duramboros has to be my favorite monster ever- not only is it huge and fierce, but also rather silly, and it's both awesome and incredibly hilarious how it does its tornado tail spin and launches itself in the air in an attempt to flatten you, <3 this guy!

Anyway, just fought the incredibly weird and disguisting Volvidon for the first time, and now I'm up to the flying Wyvern trio of village quests with Rathalos, Barioth, and Diablos. Took me forever to get past these guys in Tri but since I know the game better now than I did then I'm sure I'll be able to get through them faster, maybe after I upgrade my Dragon dual blades though...

Well, I think I'm ready to tackle a high rank monster or two... Just because I could, I decided to kill/repel a few Ceadeus' till I got a full armor set. Created the full blademaster set, so yeah However, that Demonic Blessing... Yeah, I might make a charm just to extinguish that

2 of my friends and I have been playing under one account.  We all like different weapon classes: one's a sword and shield user, the other is a long sword user, and I'm great sword.  So far, we have 50 hours racked up  We've been basically grinding for materials for a lot of it, with 14 Lagiacruses killed, 12 Rathians, 7 Duramboros, etc, so we're not too far into the game.  We just got into HR3, and we have 2 5* local quests left, so we still haven't gotten to the Ceadeus.  We have a full Arzuros, Lagiacrus, and Lagambi armor, Eternal Strife, Dijn, a few other sword and shields, Rimeblossom (I think..?), some other long swords, and Red Wing and Ravager Blade.  

 

I'll admit I haven't been able to play too much (one kid played probably 35~40 hours or so, but he's a comp sci major so he has time) but it's so much fun!!

You should know that I'm part Japanese (fluent in the language in fact.. Most of the games I've played have been in Japanese XD) and I'm visiting this summer... Perhaps I'll pick up Monster Hunter 4 while I'm there.

After killing about 20 Goldbeard Ceadeus's, I have finally completed its armor. Now to upgrade my hammer, I just need 4 Meldspar ore. Anyone know where I can get them?

Yeah I think I might go and mess arounf with some more.

I'm liking the dual blades at the moment but i'm not going to settle on anything until I try them all on real hunts.

Thanks again for helping me reach HR 7, I'll help you tomorrow (or tonight on your side) with your Urgent. Sorry I couldn't tonight (this afternoon), I had a bit of a noise complaint from my parents, haha. Also, I'll need to raise some money for your quest.

Just a reminder; there's gonna be an event quest that will give you a LIMITED EDITION SWITCHAXE if completed enough times. This quest will be downloadable on April 2nd so mark your calendars! 

 

Now for an update on my hunting experiences; I am currently HR 7 (thanks to Strormz, your rock dude!) and am planning on reaching HR 8 either tonight or tomorrow. I am equipped with the full Goldbeard Ceadeus set, the Demolition Hammer, dragon resistance, cap guru, and earplugs that make me immune to the roars of all Large Monsters. I'm also almost done with the single player mode (doing 8* quests).

late to the party here (just got the game over my spring break) but really excited to have bought it

Played it first on Playstation 2 (I think it was just Monster Hunter) so its been awhile since I've played a MH game too

I'm so close to reaching HR 8, I just beat all my key quest and the only thing left for me to do is kill the new elderdragon, Dire Miralis. I tried once and failed, i'm gonna try again later today. 

Just beat Dire Miralis, the last online urgent, and am now HR 24. The weapons and armor for Dire look AMAZING! Now to beat the offline mode.

Beat Ceadeus in the village quests, he was pretty easy as was pretty much the whole game up through that point. I beat Purple Ludroth pretty handily too, but these high rank village quests are something else, probably gonna move on to Tanzia Port for a while, sure I can only do them myself(and have done a couple already,only like 2 though) but it should be a less steep difficulty increase, I can't deal with that Deviljho guy trying to eat me every quest right now.

Just got the new event Switch Axe, sinister saints! The monsters in that quest may look intimidating but believe me, they're almost as weak as a Great Jaggi, literally anyone can get that new axe.

I got my Glacial Agnaktor armor finally! Now time to get some of that Gigginox X armor for my Kelbi Bow then I will be UNSTOPPABLE. XD (Because it's OPness)

 

I pretty much am almost done farming my stuff for now until I want to get some new lances like some of different elements because as of now, I only have a slime and fire one. I am going after an ice one. Who wants to farm Barioth with me? I need a couple items from him and then after farming, I think I'll go get a water lance. (Plesi... kill me, please. X( Hate that dude )

Hi! Was looking too see if any bronies were playing this and made a forum and found this! So far I've logged over 127 hours into the game so I'm kinda good at it now I'm hr 7 and working on getting stronger but wouldn't mind joining a brony clan if you'll have this pup,

 

I pretty much use hunting horns and have some good stat boosts for def and stamina now along with m/s heals. Okay so my Nintendo ID is Scyon0 and yes that's a zero at the end I made a friend request too bigmacintosh already....if that's okay ^~^
